The E&V category is full of such stories, but I've only ever seen a person naked in public once in my life. I was delivering a pizza to a large mid-scale motel in a busy suburban area, poking slowly through the parking lot late on a weekday evening trying to see room numbers to make my delivery.

This completely naked woman, maybe in her late twenties or early thirties, average looking and not appearing drunk at all, walked in front of my car from the pool area across the parking lot from the rooms. She casually walked by, in no hurry and not the least bit self-conscious about it, didn't even have a towel draped over her. At her room, a guy was leaning in the open doorway, also naked, waiting for her.

That's it. Never before or since. That was thirty years ago, and I gather that it might be slightly more likely now, but now I don't spend my entire workday out in public places any more. So does this happen? How often? Have you seen it, other than in a place where it is expected, like a nude beach or something?

I'm mostly just wondering, but it might inform my writing. I love reading and writing the E&V naked in public stories, and I know they're not realisitic, but I'm curious just how unrealistic they are these days.

There are entire threads about public nudity, performing it and observing it in the wild, over in the general and fetish forums. Based on those, "it happens." Not sure if that answers your question, but it's gonna be hard to get numeric figures.

In the 2000s, working girls went nearly naked on the streets. Even though they were in "That Part of Town," they were often arrested for indecent exposure. Part of a cop arresting them had more to do with getting them off the streets because they couldn't work that night, and it was a smaller fine than the one for prostitution, which they couldn't prove most of the time. Yeah, parties sometimes get out of hand, and everyone is naked, but usually in the backyard, not the front. I'm sure it happens, but I don't believe it's an everyday occurrence outside of the nudist beach or community.

I don't think this qualifies factually, but it qualifies for me emotionally. I was an exchange student way back in the day, very early 60's, and on a beach in Italy there were many men wearing tiny, very loose bikinis. I was shocked, I tell you, truly shocked!!!!!

You realize these are fictional stories, right?

Or do I have to post how few mom and son couples are in the real world as opposed to the 20k+ that star in stories here?

I can't link the source here, but u find some stats that say 42% of US women surveyed (1000 ppl) admit to having had public sex.

These days because of the amount of info and communities available online, people are pretty hip to ethical consent. And public nudity is typically involving nonconsenting people in a kink unless you're somewhere like an adult resort. But I love the *stories,* too.

When I was young and wild, I have done things like things like sex in the pool area of a hotel (late, late at night) or in the backyard during a party, but the current me understand how wrong that was wouldn't act it out again. Honestly, back then it was just about finding a place to fuck, not the exhibitionism of it.

Even I've had sex on a beach, and I don't have the wildest or most exhibitionist history. If you go to Pornhub or other social media sites, there are obviously plenty of women who get publicly naked. There's a site called "NudeinSF" that shows videos of women walking around the streets of San Francisco naked. So it does happen.

But, of course, if it happened too often, and became too commonplace, it wouldn't be as fun to write about or read about. The prohibition is part of what makes it sexy.

Yeah, that part of town was sort of on my way home from one of my later jobs. The girls would flash any car that drove by slowly. So every so often I would take the scenic route home. I don't really count that as public nudity. It was a dark mostly deserted street, and just a flash.

They were really aggressive. Once, I got paged and so I stopped in that part of town to hit a pay phone, and before I knew it, one of 'em was right there starting to undo my pants. I noped out.

It happens. For the non-associated observer, it's a right-time, right-place occurrence. (Or for the offended, wrong-time, wrong-place.)

Thousands of images on the web documenting public nudity. It is a thing.

I'm skeptical. I think a lot of those are porn shoots and/or of questionable veracity.

I know it happens, but I think public nudity is far less common than it is popular among us freaks. I've seen exactly one public exposure in all my years, and that was a drunk woman in a bar flashing her tits.

Trust me, I keep my eyes peeled, but I'm not feeling the odds. Lol

Festivals.

Glastonbury 2004, and there was young woman, maybe mid-twenties, just slowly walking up one of the 'streets' completely naked except for flip flops. Her hair was wet and she was carrying a towel. I guess she'd just come back from the showers, but, for whatever reason, decided to flash the whole festival. At the same event, there were some topless stilt-walkers wearing body paint and countless other examples of people just not giving a shit they had no shirt.

That's just one example. Even at more sedate festivals (e.g. WOMAD) I've seen women wandering around topless. A couple of years ago, some girls packing down their tent next to us on a hot last morning, just stripped off completely and doused themselves with water once they'd finished. It was complete exhibitionism: there was a copse of trees 5 metres away they could have retreated to, but they clearly got a kick out of showing off. I wasn't complaining.

Plus, plenty of bands will encourage women to flash them. I'm pretty sure it was the only reason anyone ever went to see Steel Panther (certainly wasn't for the songs). Some female singers also make it a regular part of their show: Amanda Palmer, Tove Lo, Amaral. Anyone remember RockBitch?

They were a band in the late 90s early 00s that basically incorporated live sex shows/public nudity into their live shows. I never actually saw them, but there was quite a lot of salacious reporting dressed up as scandalised moralising about them around the time.

I've participated in Mardi Gras tit flashing as an audience member. Does that count?
Kinda, yeah. It's totally expected there, but it is still fully public on everyday streets amids't mostly clothed people.

But also, there's a big difference between flashing and being flat out naked. It's a very different vibe. For one, flashing is always sexual, but nudity, even in public, isn't necessarily.

This is a cultural thing. We Finnish have a fond relationship with nudity and flashing is an unofficial national sport. We also have for example nude running contests: Nakukymppi (“the nude ten”)

Or is it flashing? What do you call running around naked? Streaking? That’s what we do.

Nude or topless beaches, rivers, or lakes, nude bike ride festivals, demonstrations, various rights marches, charity things - public nudity tends to be en-masse these days, to let the authorities know there might be a tit or a cock flash. Australia tends to be fairly relaxed about it.

San Francisco has an annual event called the Folsom Street Fair, where people often show up in skimpy bondage gear, or sometimes fully nude. There's also the "Bare to Breakers," a humorous and exhibitionist spin on the annual "Bay to Breakers" run from one side of San Francisco to the other, which permits people to run the race fully nude despite the city's ordinance against public nudity.

Ever heard of streaking?
I didn't do it. Apparently it was a regular nightly event for about a week when hubby was in his freshman year at college. He participated, reported about 30:1 sausage fest.

Dad told me about a three-level disco-style bar in Denver or a suburb that had a pre-18 level, a level with a soda and three-two beer for 18-21, and a 21 and up a level. Often, when some of the kids got wasted, they would strip and dance. Somehow, the pre-18 always ended up with beer or full-blown booze, and those girls were the ones who most often ended up nude.
