Marcus Cole

Physical Appearance:

  • Pic
  • 35 years old
  • Nickname: Hollywood

Part in the story:

  • OCB Detective
  • Currently seconded to DA Laura Shovelli as an investigator
  • Working with Emelia D'Angelo as head of a team to take down the crime families
About Marcus:

  • Family:
    • Cole's family have been military for generations, his father and mother were both serving in the Army when they married.
    • Has two sisters, both younger than him, neither in the military. Natalie, 33, married with two kids works as a legal secretary in her small town. Monica, 28, single, currently working as a doctor in a small practice in Minneapolis.
    • Marcus married while in the Marines. His wife, Maggie, decided to leave him after he had returned to the US after deployment and joined the police force. She stated her reasons being she couldn't stand the stress of loosing him. Cole didn't fight her decision to leave and they have remained long distant friends, though he does harbour sadness that she couldn't support him in his choice to try and clean up the city.
  • History:
    • Served two tours with the Marines in his eight year enlistment, both to war zones. Was honourably discharged with the rank of Sergeant.
    • Graduated top of his class in Police Academy, he still holds the record for sharpshooting with a rifle.
    • Was a patrol officer for six years before making detective. He has been a detective for three years and an OCB (Organised Crime Bureau) detective for six months.
  • The future:
    • If he survives this operation as head of the Untouchables, Cole hopes to remain in the police force at whatever rank and position he can get. His desire is to bring justice and peace to the city after witnessing atrocities take place while a Marine and not being able to do anything about them.
    • He hopes to one day meet a woman who can accept him for what he is, a white knight, a crusader. It is baked into his DNA, or so his father has told him, as much a part of him as his right arm. He longs to love someone who is as passionate about doing right as he is.
The Untouchables:
  • After being approached by Emelia D'Angelo with an offer to break the backs of the organised crime families in the city, Cole decided the opportunity was to good to pass up. After not entirely trusting Emelia he has quickly become aware that she has as much at stake in this as he does and only by working together can they both survive.
  • As head of the Untouchables he was responsible for recruiting people into his team. Deciding that serving police officers in this corrupt city was to risky he went to the Police Academy and asked his old training officer to point out two of his best cadets.
  • He has also tried to recruit Devon McCauley a legend in the department for his years working on the Organised Crime division before he resigned, but was met by anger and a refusal due to McCauley not trusting any member of the D'Angelo family.
  • A mysterious hacker going by the name Mephisto arranged a meeting with Cole. Mephisto seems to know everything Cole and Emelia have planned and offered his services trying to clean some red ink off his ledger of evil deeds in the past.

    • Did well on firearms. Was picked out to take part in interdepartmental pistol shooting competition and won for the Academy.
    • Got the nickname 'Jumpstreet' from 'Kitty' Yuqi due to his youthful appearance, quickly picked up by the other cadets.
    • Instructors noticed a unique ability Yarrow had for sizing up situations quickly and by and large picking the correct course of action. One instructor labelled it as Yarrow's 'Spidey Sense'.
    • Failed miserably to form relationships with any female at the Academy in a romantic vein though made lots of friends due to his friendly and care free attitude.
    • As suspected by Kennedy and Yuqi, Yarrow actually is a virgin.
The Untouchables:
  • Quickly took up Detective Cole's offer to join his team to take down the organised crime families operating in the city.
  • Hides the fact he has a fear about what might happen to him on this operation.

'Mephisto' - Real name Joshua Lancing

Physical Appearance:

  • Mephisto Image
  • 29.
  • 5'9", 175lb, brown hair, grey eyes, scar above right eyebrow.

Part in the story:

  • Mysterious person, identity unknown.
  • Offered to help Marcus Cole for own reasons, loyalty questionable.
  • Expert in communications, tech and computers.
About Mephisto:

  • Family:
    • An orphan since the age of 3, his family dying in a car crash.

    • The Foster Service records him as a quiet child with few if any friends, but well behaved.
  • History:
    • After leaving the Foster Service, Joshua vanished.
    • The next record of him is a notation when he was 22 and arrested for hacking into Social Services to find out who his real parents had been. He served three years in minimum security.
    • After release he vanishes from public record again. He was in fact recruited by the CIA and for the next three years they had him hacking into criminal gang networks all over the world including South American drug bosses. His talents were also used to monitor communications and the whereabouts of individuals inside America, something the CIA does not have the official power to do. After being responsible for the derailment of a passenger train in Ecuador, as a means to kill a local gang leader, Joshua disappeared again.
    • Mephisto first turns up a month after Joshua vanished from the CIA and quickly became a notorious name in the hacking world for being a 'White Hat'.
    • Mephisto keeps dirt on everyone he worked for, including the CIA, an insurance policy against retribution from these people though he knows they are still hunting him in a vain hope he would either have no time to make the intel public or is bluffing.

The Untouchables:

  • So far there is no information on Mephisto. His reasons for helping Cole and Emelia is equally unknown be they self serving or benevolent.

Jennifer Kennedy,

Physical Appearance

  • Image
  • 25-years-old
  • 5'6", 135#; 34B-24-34; athletic body, strong and tight
  • Naturally light brunette hair is treated "dirty blonde".
  • Baby blue eyes with natural twinkle

Part in the story
  • Rookie Police Officer.
  • She only graduated the Academy 2 weeks before being approached by Marcus Cole.
  • Very enthusiastic member of the Untouchables.
Family:
  • Father:
    • 20 years on the force in uniform.
    • He moved to Desk Sergeant after being shot in the hip while supporting an undercover sting operation.
    • What neither Emelia nor the Untouchables knew at the time of the latter's creation was that the sting's target was Enzo D'Angelo himself and that Enzo had been the one to shoot Jennifer's father.
    • This would come out later, and when Jennifer asked to see Enzo -- still in his bed after a coma at the time -- the two of them would have a heart-to-heart conversation that would change Jennifer's feelings about him:
      • Enzo apologized for having shot her father.
      • He revealed how he'd secretly followed her father's career and Jennifer's upbringing.
      • And he told her of the financial assistance he'd given the family over the years to make up for what he'd done.
  • Brother:
    • When she was just 13, her then-17-year-old brother claimed her virginity.
    • They never spoke about it afterwards, let alone repeated it; their relationship was strained from that point on.
    • When he was 20, he died in a car crash, upsetting Jennifer for not having had a true brother-sister relationship all those years.
Academy:
  • Her Academy "mates" were Teddy "Jumpstreet" Yarrow and Zhang "Kitty" Yiqu; the former graduated at the top also, but the latter dropped out due to family issues. They both joined the Untouchables (explained further below).
  • She graduated #1 for the female candidates and #3 overall.
  • She scored #1 in Handgun Training, #2 in Sniper Rifle Training; she scored #1 in every non-physical test, though she failed to place in the Top 10 in Computer Skills.
  • Her success granted her choice of post-Academy assignments. She chose a Training Officer, Glenda "Gee" Jefferson, who -- with 20 years on the force -- was a legend on the streets, where she chose to remain as opposed to sitting behind a desk.
  • Her Career Plans:
    • Her father spent his entire 20 years in uniform.
    • Jennifer has bigger plans on the force:
    • Detective in less than 6 years.
    • Sergeant, Gold Shield, and Squad Leader in less than 12.
    • Lieutenant, Captain, Inspector, Deputy Chief, Bureau chief, and finally Chief of Department in record times.
    • Then politics: Mayor, State Legislator, Governor, Senator and, finally, President of the United States.
The Untouchables:
  • The event that got her Marcus Cole's attention was her breaking up a robbery, described here in her first post.
  • She is a very enthusiastic member.
  • She said she would join on 3 conditions:
    • One, she gets to carry a Beretta 92FS, not the City Police issued Glock 20.
    • Two, her Academy (dropout) friend, Zhang Yiqu, aka "Kitty", got a badge despite not having completed the Academy. (Kitty chose not to become Police, though; see the last 3 paragraphs of Post #42.)
    • And three, that she gets a cool "fighter pilot-like" call sign. (Marcus pointed out that pilots didn't get to choose their own nickname, so she's waiting to see with what she gets stuck.
Her relationship with Devon McCauley:
  • Almost from the start, the two of them lusted for one another.
  • After she'd been shot in the vest by a shotgun and spent weeks recuperating, Devon was there for her.
  • Jennifer kissed him first, and from there on, they were a couple, at first secretly and then, later, publicly yet still without being obvious about it.

Carter Timms -- Accountant for the D'Angelo Crime Family

Pre-RP History

  • He had been the D'Angelo Family's primary money laundering accountant for almost 40 years.
  • He'd worked directly for Enzo D'Angelo for most of that time. They are close, personal friends.
  • He had laundered more than a billion dollars for the D'Angelo's.
RP History
  • Introduced in Post #26.
  • After Enzo's debilitating stroke, Carter went to work directly for Emelia.
  • His first action under Emelia's direction:
    • Facilitated the takeover of McNamara & Draper, Inc.:
    • MDI is a $50 million dollar food processing and distribution business.
    • It has the concessions contract for the soon-to-be-opened stadium complex that will be the home of MLB's and MLS's newest expansion teams.
    • It is also -- or was also -- controlled by the D'Amato Family. They laundered money through MDI, and the loss for them will be tens of millions of dollars every year.

Emelia D'Angelo

Part in the story

  • "Acting" Donna of the D'Angelo Crime Family.
  • Daughter of Enzo D'Angelo, the "official" head of the D'Angelo Crime Family.
  • She's trying to take the Family straight; it was her father's intention, just before he suffered a debilitating stroke.
  • She's also trying to take down the other Crime Families to bring law and order to Capital City.
Physical Appearance
  • pic
  • 25-years-old
More about Emelia:
  • Her father, who had been in the Army as a young man, taught Emelia Morse Code when she was a little girl as a way for them to secretly communicate without her mother understanding. Now, in a stroke, it is the only way that he can speak to her.
  • Because her father was always watching over her, and because she always had a bodyguard -- Philip Russo -- nearby, her sex life has been a bit stifled.
    • [MATERIAL DELETED PER FORUM RULES ] She didn't/doesn't consider herself lesbian or even bisexual, but having female lovers was easier than being with men and then having to explain it to her father.
    • When she was 19 and had decided that she needed to be with a man sexually, she did so with Philip Russo, her long-time bodyguard. (She essentially forced him into it by telling him that it would be dangerous to let her loose on male society.
    • They made love half a dozen times, then -- after a kidnapping attempt on her -- Philip told her that he could no longer be her lover as he'd let his guard down at the time. (This has not been posted yet.)

Philip Russo

Physical Appearance

  • 45 years old.
  • 6', 195#; fit, athletic.
  • Dark hair, dark eyes
  • US Army Rangers tattoos
Part in the story
  • Emelia D'Angelo's personal bodyguard.
  • Many people refer to him respectfully as Miss D'Angelo's man.
  • In the event of Emelia's death, she had left documentation that Philip is to take over as Don, despite his having no D'Angelo blood in him. (Emelia is Enzo's only child who has been raised to be part of the Crime Family.)
About Philip
  • He was an Army Ranger from age 18-24.
  • His father had been D'Angelo muscle until his death while Philip was in the Army.
  • He was eagerly taken into the Family.
  • Within 6 years, he was a made man.
  • When Emelia began private school, Enzo D'Angelo made Philip her bodyguard, a job he's held since.
He was Emelia's first lover
  • When Emelia was 19 and away at University, she asked Philip to usher her into womanhood.
  • He said he would do so only with her father's permission.
  • Emelia lied a few days later, saying that she had gained it.
  • They had a very loving, gentle, yet passionate night together at one of the D'Angelo properties on the New England coast.
  • When Emelia confessed that her dad didn't know, Philip told her that they could never be together again; he felt he couldn't protect her while also being her lover.
  • Enzo discovered the truth through contacts he had watching his daughter.
  • He confronted his daughter, who begged his forgiveness, explaining all.
  • Philip was called in, confronted, and forgiven. Enzo knew he was the best bodyguard Emelia could ever have.
  • Only the three of them (aside from the "watchers" who were nobodies) know.
History during the RP:
  • He escorts Emelia almost everywhere.
  • He likes Marcus Cole, though, he would never tell him so to his face.

  • Deep brown eyes and full lips.
Part in the story
  • State Senator Davis's Personal Assistant and (reluctantly) his sex toy.
  • She is informing on Davis to Emelia and Marcus Cole.
About Camille

  • She eagerly joined Emelia's team.

The Active Crime Families

The D'Angelo Family
  • Italian-Americans generally, but with a melting pot of business associates as well.
  • Head of the Family: Emelia D'Angelo (acting; see "Other Facts" below)
  • Key money-making activities:
    • They do it all, though, drugs is less of a priority.
  • Conflicts:
    • Only just recently went to war with the D'Amato Family. (See next entry.)
    • Emelia, with the help of OCB Detective Marcus Cole, is trying to take down all of the Families, so war is imminent with all of them.
  • Other facts worth remembering:
    • Enzo D'Angelo, the true Don, has been incapacitated by a stroke. Only a handful of people know this, including Philip, the private medical team, a handful of bodyguards, and Marcus Cole's "Untouchables".
    • Philip Russo, Emelia's bodyguard, is positioned to be her successor if anything were to happen to her.

The D'Amato Family
  • Italian-Americans, with a strong leaning toward only ever benefiting those of their ethnicity
  • Head of the Family: Giovanni D'Amato
  • Key money-making activities:
    • They do it all.
    • Drugs is their largest money maker, and they aren't very careful about purity/safety.
  • Conflicts:
    • They consider themselves to be at war with the D'Angelo Family.
    • They have uneasy, Cold War relations with the rest of the other Families.
  • Other facts worth remembering:

The Defunct Crime Families

The Rossi Family

Enzo D'Angelo

Physical Appearance
-- irrelevant

Part in the story
  • "Official" Head of the D'Angelo Crime Family
  • He was incapacitated by a major stroke just days before the RP began. (See Post #13 regarding his regaining consciousness and talking to Emelia via Morse Code.)
About Giuseppe D'Angelo, Emelia's grandfather
  • Giuseppe was born in Sicily in 1930.
  • He immigrated alone to the US as a teen.
  • He went immediately to work for the D'Amato Crime Family.
  • After the death of the D'Amato's Don and a schism between the heirs apparent, Giuseppe began his own family.
  • His only son, Enzo, was born in 1958.
  • On Valentine's Day in 1992, Giuseppe was gunned down in a dramatic hail of automatic gunfire as he left a romantic Italian restaurant. His wife, three bodyguards, and two innocent bystanders also died.
  • See "The Italian Wars" farther down to understand the repercussions of the assassination.
About Enzo D'Angelo, Emelia's father
  • Early Life:
    • Enzo was born in 1952, the only surviving son of Giuseppe D'Angelo.
    • He was groomed from an early age to replace his father one day.
    • In 1970, at age 18, he joined the US Army and was sent to Vietnam, where he served for 3 one-year tours.
    • While still in the Army, he was already beginning to build his own element of the Crime Family he would eventually inherit.
  • First Marriage:
    • He married Annabelle at age 20 while still in the Army.
    • He had 3 children by his first wife, all of whom shunned the Crime Family life:
      • The eldest, a boy, is a lawyer in LA.
      • The elder girl is a fashion designer in Paris.
      • The younger girl is married with children of her own in Tampa.
      • They are all at least 15 years senior to Emelia.
  • His affair with Emelia's mother, Francesca:
    • While still married to Annabelle, Enzo met and fell in lust with, then in love with a 20-year-old college student/cafe waitress named Francesca.
    • Enzo became her Sugar Daddy, giving her an apartment, a car, and an allowance; he also paid for her to go back to university, which she gave up on after becoming pregnant (as explained below).
The Italian Wars
  • Enzo's father, Giuseppe, was gunned down on Valentine's Day, 1992 (as described above).
  • Enzo, then 34-years-old, had been groomed to become Don since his teens.
  • He became Don without any question whatsoever from his Capos and Made Men.
  • In response to the assassination of Giuseppe, Enzo led the Family in a 3-year long war against the D'Amato Family.
  • The Press and Police Authorities would call the conflict The Italian Wars.
  • The Italian Wars left hundreds dead and injured -- I posted the number somewhere and will look for it.
  • Unfortunately, the Italian War also left the City open to the unwelcomed influx of other Criminal Families.
  • The War would come to an end with most considering the D'Angelo's the victors.
Emelia enters Enzo's life
  • Enzo's mistress, Francesca, got pregnant, and in 1998, Emelia Maria Sophia Dominiqua D'Angelo was born.
  • She would be Enzo's only child by Francesca.
  • Francesca and Emelia weren't exactly state secrets. Everyone close to Enzo knew about them.
Annabelle dies; Enzo marries Francesca
  • When Emelia was still a toddler, Enzo's wife, Annabelle, was killed in a commuter train crash that also killed 14 others and injured dozens.
  • Enzo mourned for six months before moving Francesca and Emelia into the D'Angelo Family compound.
  • Surprisingly, considering the whole infidelity issue, the pair were warmly accepted.
  • A few months later, Enzo married Francesca.
Francesca dies; Emelia is groomed to become the Donna of the D'Angelo Family
  • When Emelia was still a little girl, her mother was supposedly killed in a car crash.
  • The truth was that Francesca was an innocent shooting victim of a D'Amato robbery-gone-bad. Emelia wouldn't learn this until after the RP's start, explained here, in Post #13.
  • Enzo began to groom Emelia to become Donna while she was still a school girl.
History during the RP:
  • 10 days prior to the RP's start, he suffers a debilitating stroke.
  • A few days after the RP's start, Enzo regains consciousness:
    • Although he can't speak, he has retained his faculties.
    • He speaks to Emelia via the Morse Code he learned in the Army and taught her as a child.
    • Emelia tells him all about OCB Detective Marcus Cole and what will eventually become known as the Untouchables. (See Post #13.)
    • They keep his ability to communicate between them (and Philip).
  • A couple of weeks into the RP:
    • It is revealed that Enzo D'Angelo was personally (thought indirectly) responsible for the death of Jennifer Kennedy's father: Kennedy, a beat cop, had been shot in the hip during a stakeout of a D'Angelo operation; the bullet was never removed; and years later, it led to a stroke and death.
    • Emelia brings Marcus and Jennifer to her father's bedside per Jennifer's demand to see Enzo.
    • Enzo speaks to Jennifer, a conversation that (so far) had not been written. The conversation ends with her sobbing like a baby before leaving.
    • This revelation about Enzo and Papa Kennedy begins to unfold here, at Post #59 and ends at Post #65.

  • Kitty reveals that she was once a stripper. She also reveals one of her talents by picking Marcus's pocket; she takes his badge without him knowing it, giving it back with a playful Ba-dum-dum.

    • They can be brutal when retaliating against perceived slights against the Clan or when fighting for territory.
    • Members of the Yakuza usually always dress smartly and look professional, from enforcers to drug dealers. It is seen as a sign of respect for their elders and to present a civilized appearance to any bystanders.

Kylie Parker

Part in the story

  • Dirty cop; she's a detective in Narcotics, 9th Precinct.
  • Degenerate gambler.
  • Now under Emelia D'Angelo's thumb (as introduced here, in Post #40).

Physical Appearance
  • pic
  • 33-years-old
  • 5'6", 138#; 34B-24-36; fit, in good shape
  • Dark brunette hair worn long and casually curled; she doesn't put a lot of time into it.
  • Deep brown eyes.

Before the RP:
  • Family Life:
    • Kylie came from a middle-income family of 5 children.
    • She had little hope of going to college, and right out of high school became a waitress at a diner.
    • Two years later, an aunt convinced her to go to college. The aunt footed some of the bill, with student loans and grants covering the rest.
    • The aunt died two years into Kylie's education. This led to the erosion of Kylie's desire to finish school and she eventually quit.
  • As a Cop:
    • The City Police was looking for more female recruits. Kylie joined up.
    • She barely survived the academy, but on the streets, she developed a good reputation as a solid cop.
    • She rose through the ranks quickly via sexual encounters with Upper-Ups. (She never fucked her direct superiors, but instead went for high-ranking officers with pull.)
    • She made detective and found herself in Narcotics, where -- ironically -- she'd developed a cocaine habit that still sometimes plagues her to this day. She never fails a drug test because she's blowing a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy who processes the piss tests.
    • Also while in Narcotics, she developed a second bad habit: gambling, specifically Texas Hold'em Poker.
    • She's pretty good at Hold'em. But every gambler has bad days, one of which led to...
  • As a DirtyCop:
    • Kylie had been frequenting an underground gambling hall operated by the D'Angelo's.
    • One night, she lost heavy, borrowed from the house, and lost again.
    • She was asked to do them a favor, which she did: compromising a drug bust.
    • After that, she was in the D'Angelo's pocket.
    • She continued gambling, and while she occasionally won big, she lost big more often. And to pay her debts, she continued to do the D'Angelo's favors.
Becoming Emelia's Dirty Cop:
  • Introduced here, in Post #40.
  • After Emelia approached Marcus and Marcus subsequently created the Untouchables, Emelia approached Kylie in a way she was sure would bring Kylie into her service.
  • Kylie had lost big at a D'Angelo Hold'em table, amassing a debt of $30,000.
  • Without Kylie knowing that she was behind it, Emelia bought that debt personally, as well as Kylie's other debts. They totaled $120,000, and more outstanding debts were going to be purchased soon.
  • A man at the D'Angelo gambling hall tasked Kylie with murdering a man who would be leaving shortly. She was told she could collect his $100,000 and bring it and the gun back the next day to clear her debt.
  • She was hesitant to do it, but when the man came out, she stepped from the shadows and pulled the trigger -- only to find out that the loaded gun had no firing pin.
  • Emelia stepped out of the man's sedan, saying, "Detective Parker, we should talk."
  • Kylie's target, who was none other than Emelia's bodyguard, Philip, invited Kylie to enter the car by flashing his own weapon.
During the Roleplay:
  • Nothing yet, other than Post #40, but soon.

Properties, Buildings, etc.
Elmhurst: The D'Angelo Family Compound
  • Staffing:
    • Security:
      • There are never fewer than 10 armed men watching the compound, most of them in or immediately adjacent to the home.
      • They are armed with semi-automatic pistols and/or machine pistols.
      • Additionally, a Security Office on the 2nd Floor can dispatch at least one sniper to the roof in less than 60 seconds.
      • There is always at least 1 bodyguard outside Enzo's room.
      • Emelia's bodyguard, Philip, is with her anytime she leaves the house but is often relieved when she is inside.
    • Indoor staff:
      • The typical array of housekeepers, kitchen staff, etc.
      • Many of them live on the property.
    • Outdoor staff:
      • The typical array of groundskeepers, maintenance workers, etc.
      • A pair of them live on the property.
    • Medical Staff:
      • Prior to Enzo's stroke, there had been a doctor living nearby who made twice weekly visits to Enzo and anyone else who needed his services.
      • Following his attack, a Stroke Specialist comes by every day and 2 nurses are always on site, working 12 hour, 4 day shifts. (They are all being paid very well. They have also signed NDAs.)

Laura Shovelli

Part in the story

  • Assistant District Attorney.
  • She works with Detective Marcus Cole to create the Untouchables, a standalone Organized Crime fighting task force.
  • Together with Cole and Donna of the D'Angelo Crime Family, Emelia D'Angelo, they are going to bring down both Organized Crime figures and, hopefully, the Families themselves and any number of corrupt cops and politicians.
Physical Appearance
  • Image
  • 28-years-old
  • 5'8"; B-cups; on the thin side but looking nice.
  • Long brunette hair that she curls
  • Light brown eyes, with a touch of bronze maybe.
More about Laura:
  • She doesn't consider herself a lesbian or even bisexual, yet she had had three lesbian experiences:
    • The first sexual experience ever was at 14 with a female cousin.
    • She slept with a female classmate as a Freshman at City University.
    • And in Post #220 , she sleeps with Belinda Carmichael (more below in "Activities during the Roleplay).
  • Her Godmother is State Governor Elizabeth Harker, first described here in Post #111.
    • Harker has a nickname, "Mrs. Clean", gained for being uncorruptible.
    • Harker will give the Untouchables their official status.
Activities during the Roleplay
  • She is approached by Marcus Cole:
    • Marcus needs her to authorize an Organized Crime Task Force that will operate outside the CCPD's OCB.
    • To incentivize her, he tells her how they can take down a dirty politician, State Senator Eric Davis.
    • She agrees, promising him authorization, a budget, a supporting SWAT team, and more.
  • To further separate the Task Force from CCPD, she gets her Godmother, Governor Elizabeth Harker, to establish the Governor's Task Force on Organized Crime.
  • In Post #220 (specific calendar day TBD), she sleeps with Belinda Carmichael, an at-the-time up-and-coming reporter with Channel 4 news and the Untouchables' pet reporter, as selected by Marcus Cole.

Zhang "Kitty" Yuqi
  • Initially spoken of here.
Part in the story
  • Civilian member of the Untouchables.
  • Former Capital City Police Academy Cadet. (Quit for family reasons; ill father.)
  • Close friend to Jennifer Kennedy.
  • In a secret sexual relationship with fellow Untouchable, Teddy Yarrow (whose virginity she claimed).
Physical Appearance
  • Image
  • 24-year-old Chinese-American.
  • 5'6"; petite with firm, B-cups; athletic body.
More about Kitty:
  • She was a stripper before she entered the Police Academy:
    • Despite being ethnically Chinese, she danced under the name The Korean Kitty Kat.
    • The patrons of her club were your average all-American White guys who couldn't tell the difference between one Asian and another.
    • She had been the primary bread-winner of her family, due to circumstances of which I have not yet spoken.
    • For reasons of which I also have not spoken, she needed to get out of stripping.
  • She joined the Police Academy:
    • She excelled at everything she did, placing in the Top 5 in nearly every test or competition.
    • She became very close friends with Jennifer Kennedy and relatively close friends with Teddy Yarrow.
    • Less than a month in, though, her father became ill, and she had to quit to take care of him.
  • A civilian once again, she supported herself and her father as an escort.
As an Untouchable:
  • Skilled in arms, she helped put together the list of additional weapons for the Untouchables' armory.
  • With a friend working for RTS Tactical, she was able to get them the latest and greatest in body armor.
  • She and Teddy became lovers, starting here at Post #77
    • They were staking out the office of State Senator Eric Davis, trying to identify his D'Amato Family connection.
    • After completing their mission, Kitty essentially raped Teddy in the front seat of their sedan. (This was Teddy's description of it in the next post, though honestly, that wasn't too far off mark.
    • Afterwards, she playfully put her pistol to his throat and warned him not to tell anyone what they'd just done ... even as she was passionately kissing him again.
    • A few days later, she would invite him down to the parking garage to fuck in the backseat of her car by flashing him an unbridled tit on her way out of the Office. He took her up on the invite.
  • In between the two sexual encounters above was the capture of the Draper Family Murderers (which begins here at Post #112).

Belinda Carmichael
Part in the story
  • Channel 4 Weekend "Weather Girl"
  • Desperately wants to be a Field Producer for the weekly news, local first but eventually national.
Physical Appearance
  • Image
  • 25-years-old.
  • 5'9"; 34B-24-34; long, tall, and oh-so-sexy.
  • Hazel-green eyes.
  • Naturally curly, naturally blonde hair that reaches down to the small of her back when wet.
More about Belinda:
  • Acting was her first love:
    • Belinda landed dozens of commercials between ages 3-14.
    • She had a variety of talking and non-talking guest star parts in a variety of television shows.
    • At 14, she had a minor role in a coming of age, made-for-cable-television movie in which she had a relatively mild sex scene. The nudity and sexual content were rated PG-13, but Belinda didn't care for participating in it.
    • When she was told that such erotic performances were likely to be a large part of her career, Belinda decided acting wasn't for her.
  • Journalism became her next career goal:
    • In high school, she fell in love with journalism.
    • She was initially a reporter for the school's print newspaper.
    • By her junior year, though, she'd switched to the school's visual arts program, becoming a reporter for and then Station Manager of the school's news and entertainment programs. It became so popular that it was soon broadcasting on YouTube and a local cable channel both.
    • She received a full ride at City University, both writing for the print newspaper and performing feature stories and news for the University's visual news program.
  • Post-University career:
    • Belinda had high hopes of becoming a television reporter, then a field producer, then a news anchor.
    • Unfortunately, the competition was stiff. She soon found that the best she could get was Channel 4's Weekend Weather Girl, and she was only able to get that after sleeping with the Station's General Manager.
    • She's been doing that -- the weather and the GM -- for almost two years now.
Roleplay:
  • While out partying one night, she got a message from a source within the police department about a major drug bust going down at the docks.
  • She responded to it, described here, Post #144.
  • Having learned that Marcus Cole is a Detective involved in the Pier 4 Drug Bust; and after having contacted him for specifics on the raid; she is invited to become the Untouchables' go to reporter.
  • In Post #220 (specific calendar day TBD), she sleeps with ADA Laura Shovelli in an attempt to get closer to the Untouchables and, hopefully, further her career by gaining information sooner. It works.

DB Connors (more often than not simply called Connors)
  • Her full name is Daisy Belle Connors, but to use it you could be risking your front teeth.
Place in the story:
  • Introduced
  • Belinda Carmichael's camera operator.
  • Former photojournalist imbed with US troops in Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan.
  • Possibly a former lover of Marcus Cole, though, it was a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.
Physical Description:
  • None yet given, other than "tough old bird who is sexy in her own way".

The Active Crime Families

The D'Angelo Family
  • Italian-Americans generally, but with a racial/ethnic/religious melting pot of business associates as well.

The D'Amato Family
  • Italian-Americans, with an almost exclusive leaning toward Italian Catholics.
  • Head of the Family: Giovanni D'Amato
  • Key money-making activities:
    • They do it all.
    • Drugs are their largest money maker, and they aren't very careful about purity/safety.
  • Conflicts:
    • They consider themselves to be at war with the D'Angelo Family.
    • They have uneasy, Cold War relations with the rest of the other Families.
The Osaka Yakuza Clan
  • Diagram of Yakuza Hierarchy.
  • Japanese Mob, whose members are all of that ethnicity.
  • Head of Family: Yosaro Osaka (Widower - 62 years old)
  • Key money-making activities:
    • Human trafficking from Asia.
    • Opium & Heroin.
    • Protection rackets in China Town.
    • Smuggling.
    • Pornography.
  • Conflicts:
    • Over the course of ten years the Yakuza have wiped out the pre-existing Triad and Tong gangs in China Town.
    • They currently have a peace treaty with the Italian Families as long as neither poaches on the others territory.
    • Things have become heated between the Yakuza and the Russian Bratva as both deal in human trafficking and pornography.
  • Other facts worth remembering:
    • The Yakuza work under a strict code of ethics and honor that they not only abide by themselves but also expect any partners in their dealings to abide by too.
The Greshenko Bratva
  • Russian Mob, who's members as a rule come from Russia or Eastern Europe, though they have allowed some westerners to join if they have abilities or resources the Bratva require.
  • Head of Family: Dimitri Alexenov Greshenko, 48
    • Wife: Irina, 45
    • Son: Ilya, 21 years old: bisexual; can be brutal, including rape.
    • Daughter: Anya, 19 years old
    • Daughter: Maria, 18 years old
  • Key money-making activities:
    • Human trafficking from Eastern Europe.
    • Weapons smuggling.
    • Pornography.
    • Prostitutes.
    • Illegal gambling.
    • Extortion.
  • Conflicts & Alliances:
    • Currently heated relations with the Yakuza though no outright war.
    • Allied with the Columbians and have supplied them weapons.
  • Other facts worth remembering:
    • Bratva members have many tattoos, most have some meaning such as length of time in the Bratva or rank in the organization.
    • Many members are ex-convicts from Russian prisons.
    • Although considered thugs by the Italians and Japanese, the Bratva is the most powerful organized crime family in Russia, its power reaching even to the President of Russia.
The Syndicate
  • Primarily Jews, American and foreign born, but with ranks open to any race/ethnicity/religion that serves them loyally.
  • Leadership:
    • Meyer Lansky is the head of the Council.
    • The Council typically includes 5-9 powerful Capos.
    • The Council votes on all big decisions, after which Lansky is responsible for turning these decisions into action.
    • The Head of the Council can be easily replaced with a majority vote.
  • Key money-making activities:
    • Primarily financial crimes: Extortion, illegal gambling, numbers running, high interest loans, hijacking, etc.
    • They do not deal in the drug trade but instead take a cut of D'Angelo Family drug sales in Syndicate territory.
  • Conflicts:
    • They are currently at peace with all the other Families.
    • However, there is going to be tension between the Syndicate and the D'Angelo's when the latter stops selling drugs in the former's territory, thus cutting them out of the money.
Black Gangs in the Jackson Projects:
  • NOTE about organization within the JP:
    • There are no Crime Families, per se, in the Jackson Projects, though there are several street gangs.
    • Through a decades-long, concerted effort, the non-Black Crime Families have pitted the Black street gangs against one another, preventing them from consolidating and, thus, becoming a single, powerful entity.
    • As a result, most of the JP's street gangs are affiliated with one of the many Crime Families.
    • The gangs sling dope for the Crime Families in territories within and without the JP.
  • NOTE about the Jackson Project's financial situation:
    • The JP is predominately Black. (FYI: I use the word Black with respect.)
    • There are other more financially secure Black neighborhoods in Capital City, just as there are other poverty-stricken neighborhoods in the City that are not majority Black.
    • Also, like with any large city, there are many financially secure -- even rich -- Black families (with a small "f") throughout the City.
  • The 44s:
    • Named for 44th Avenue, where they began.
    • They control about 16 blocks, which include several 12-15 story City-owned residential towers (thus the name, Jackson Projects).
    • Primary income sources: Meth, heroine, prostitution, and protection.
  • The Eastside Chiefs (introduced in Post #281)
    • Their territory is in the eastside of the Jackson Projects.
    • One of their chief sources of income is high end car theft, combined with either chopping for local parts sales or international export.
    • The Eastside Chiefs includes one of Devon's CIs, Isaac "Flash" Devrone; he was a car thief in younger days.
  • The Pushers (officially the Prospect Park Pushers):
    • They are affiliated with the D'Angelo Crime Family.
    • They control about 26 blocks within the JP.
    • Before the Pier 4 Drug Seizure, they slung D'Angelo dope in their territory and on a couple of dozen corners in D'Angelo Territory.
    • They now enforce a Drug Free Zone in the D'Angelo Territory and are attempting to prevent a similar one in their portion of the JP.
    • One key character from the pushers is Jessie King, introduced in Post #293.

The Defunct Crime Families

The Rossi Family
  • Italian-Americans
  • After a devastating war, their territories and operations were divided between the D'Angelo's and the D'Amato's.

The Bianchi
  • Italian-Americans.
  • Just as with the Rossi Family, they were defeated in a war and divided between the two more powerful Families.

The D'Angelo Family

Personal and Professional Particulars
About the Family

Note: I'm just sort of throwing this together using snippets from IC/OOC posts, so don't for a moment believe that this is complete. For additional reference, see:
The Family's Charitable Work: the D'Angelo Family's charitable work comes primarily from The Angels Foundation, established by Giuseppe D'Angelo in the early 1990's:
  • Its Board is comprised of men and women from the religious, educational, and business sectors.
  • To preserve its clean image, no member of the D'Angelo Family plays an official role in the Foundation, although they do make appearances at special events sponsored by the Foundation.
  • The Foundation receives between $3 million and $10 million dollars each year.
  • Major recipients of Foundation money include but are not limited to:
    • General Education Scholarships: 100 scholarships and grants are given each year in this area; they range from private/religious school scholarships for low-income students to university doctorate programs.
    • Medical School Education: students willing to provide 6 years of service to communities that lack proper medical services -- the inner city, rural areas, etc. -- can receive a full ride to medical school and repayment of most or all of their college education debts.
    • Community Legal Services: free legal advice and representation in court for low-income clients.
    • And more.

The Hanson Building
(aka "The Office" or the "Batcave")

How the Untouchables ended up here:
  • Emelia used D'Angelo money that she could access without gaining unwanted attention to buy the building through a shell company.
  • This purchase actually took place weeks before she approached Marcus about creating the Untouchables.
Neighborhood description:
  • It is not a heavy traffic neighborhood, such as the financial or art or theater district.
  • Passing through here doesn't draw a lot of attention; people mind their own business generally speaking.
  • It is deep inside D'Angelo territory, which means there is little risk from the other Families to the building or the Untouchables.
Building description:
  • It is an older, non-descript 4 story building.
  • It is surrounded by other buildings of similar height, shape, and appearance; there are no taller buildings within 4 blocks.
  • Most of the neighboring buildings have:
    • Retail shops and bodegas at street level;
    • Small commercial/service businesses on the next floor or two;
    • And apartments or lofts above those.
  • The Hanson building is similar to its neighbors with these exceptions:
    • 1st floor: There are a pair of corner bodegas, a coffee and pastry shop called Mama's, and a pawn shop, but the rest of the store fronts are closed. (The pawn shop, btw, is controlled directly by a "Loyal" of Emelia's.)
    • 2nd-3rd floors: these are totally vacant.
  • 4th floor: Occupied by the Untouchables.
  • Access: three of them:
    • A street level entrance controlled by both a number pad and key card.
    • An underground parking garage, controlled in the same way.
    • An abandoned utility tunnel that was only recently discovered by Marcus's guy during the updating of security measures.
  • Security: where do I start? (Actually, I can't right now, but I will later.
