Noisy Women

So here is one I've wondered about, I've been with roughly half a dozen women in my life, lame by some some standards I'm sure, and I've often noticed that for the most part they were all fairly quiet during sex. I mean some grunting and groaning but never very loud, even the dirty talk was usually at a whisper. There was only one girl I would have characterized as vocal and she was quite the screamer, I sort of miss her sometime, of course she was nuttier than a fruitcake so I kicked her loose, ahh the College days.

Anyway I read an article once in a health magazine that said that women in general don't vocalize a lot during sex as its more of a mental thing for them and if they are being that way they are likely doing it on purpose to please their male counterpart.

My wife throughout the years has largely been the quiet type though I often long for her to make some racket, it makes me feel better to know she's getting off and I'm doing my job as it were, but most of the time I have to specifically ask her to make noise.

So my question is - What has been other peoples experience? Have mine been unusual or are women by and large pretty quiet and only make a lot of noise if ask or because they sense that it would make the man feel better.

By the way no jokes about how I'm not doing it right or if my equipment were up to snuff they would be yelling their asses off, I have had plenty of long term relationships and very few complaints about the bedroom, plenty about my sarcasm but not about the bedroom :)

Noisy

A lot of it just depends on my mood, sometimes just some light moaning and other times screaming and dirty talking like a trucker, lol, doesn't mean I enjoyed it anymore or less, and for me alcohol really brings it out in me, I know my boyfriend loves me to be as vocal as possible, but I'm not always feeling it, but I love when he's vocal too, so it's a two way street....love to hear him moan and talk dirty to me really loudly, huge turn on so I completely understand!

Hey Birdy - I envy your spouse my dear ;)

I'm plenty vocal myself, my wife is often telling me to keep it down, she is afraid the kids will hear but our bedroom is on the opposite side of the house and my son plays electric guitar every night (with headphones plugged into his amp) and my daughter always has her MP3 player stuck on her head so I don't know what she thinks their going to hear.

I'm all but silent, and it's a direct result of being forced to live with a roommate. I hear men say the same thing, everyone who has to live with roommates or in a barracks gets in the habit of being silent.

Don’t feel alone. My wife is very quiet as well and I’ve heard the “kids will hear” excuse for so long that I just don’t care. When we were younger she was a bit more vocal but as she’s aged she’s just gotten more quiet. I talk dirty during sex and she likes it but her responses are almost non-existent vocally. Would I like to hear some loud moans or screams? Sure but the quiet ones make it easier to sneak off to have sex during the day, even when company may be over.

I'd have to say 'not vocalizing' may mean not into dirty talk. I wouldn't say not into moaning, groaning or guteral sounds when cuming or being stimulated. In my experience, some women are very much into dirty talk, and it can be fantastic! Others don't speak, just moan and groan away.

For me, thinking back, I can't recall any woman that didn't make some kind of moan or groan when getting it good, or cuming. One old lover actually made so much noise that when we were at a hotel we'd get calls from the desk about people complaining. She was the extreme, but what an extreme she was! Wonderful lover, great body!

To me, sex is simply a very complex form of communication. It can say many things separately or all at once. Perhaps it's more about how a person communicates rather then simply has the physical act of sex.

Also, articles like the one you mention tend to paint with a very broad brush. I'd take it with a large grain of salt! Depending on what publication or site you read it on and who wrote, it may have been little more then filler.

There's tons of people who write about things today that don't even vet the information they base their writings or opinions on. Maybe grab a salt shaker instead...:D

Yeah I completely get that, hard to get into with kids in the house, when I first moved out on my own I had a tough time being vocal, until I finally let go one night and enjoyed it so much, but it was hard to get out of that "my parents will hear" mode

Wouldn't say I'm vocal right away, more that I respond to my partner and try to pick up on his cues. So if he's into talking dirty I'll go there with him and we can get as dirty as he likes. But if it's just moaning and saying little things I like that too.

Not sure I'd want it to be totally silent. Music in the background please.

Everything

I've had girls that were quite, some that were vocal, and some that just made noises. And varying degrees of those.

Everyone is different for different reasons.....

Just accept them as they are and enjoy the fun times with them.

for me the louder the woman can be the better. especially if she is a great dirty talker

Darkoverlord,
I confess you have me feeling darned grateful! I'm a one-woman man of 41 years and she doesn't do quiet. She is really free with her gasps, coos and moans, and her usually long build to an orgasm usually involves language that afterwards she's just a little embarrassed about. Then her language dissolves into loud incoherence for the big O. Such that we have an understanding that I will lock my mouth onto hers when she's about to reach that point if we have house guests in the next room.

When we go for a quickie for my sake, without intention of getting her into orbit, she does a great sexy commentary on my body, how I fuck her, and what it feels like for her.

Good woman! I need to acknowledge then, that this isn't necessarily the norm!

noisy is great.

not only a huge turn on, but provides some feedback as to what is most liked....

You are a lucky man sir :) I should say that my wife does talk dirty quite a bit she just does it at such a low volume I have to either be right next to her or more likely on top of her to hear it. If I'm down between her legs she may be going on but I can't understand a word she is saying.

As far as grunts and groans sometimes she does, sometimes she is almost completely silent until she cum's then it's one low long moan and an arching of the back usually. I wish she would scream the roof down when she cums but that is a rare occurrence indeed.

Best thing I ever heard my woman say during orgasm - one of the rare occasions when it stayed coherent English:

"You - Ab - so - LUT - ly - FUCK - me - to - HEAV - EN!!!"

That was cool! :)

not sure about other women, but I have ALWAYS been very vocal during sex, right from the start. It is something I just can't help and the guys seems to love it!

Noisy, vocal, enthusiastic; I find it a huge turn on. Means you're doing it right!

I've had an absolute screamer. She would be moaning like a porn star as soon as you touched her. I once used her vibrator on her just for her and she howled that much she got a round of applause from the neighbours. :D

But I've also had a girl that didn't scream so much but she did whimper a little bit and half talk\half whimper things like "oh my god, your dick feels like it is going to pop out of the top of my head". Hahaha

My wife is reasonably quiet. More breathy in what she makes audible.

I talk during sex, in whatever way I feel will further stimulate the situation, whether that's giving direction, giving feedback, or just plain dirty talk. And I like guys who talk and give feedback, too. A guy who is completely quiet is a bit of a turnoff to me.

But when I orgasm, I am very loud. I cry out, and the louder I cry out the better I feel the orgasm is. In adjacent hotel rooms people have banged on the walls to tell me to "shut up!" some have called the front desk, and on one occasion, the guy I was having sex with put his hand over my mouth to keep me quiet. I'm a little self-conscious about it, but once I feel that orgasm coming on, self-consciousness flies out the window and I let go.

If you're ever in a hotel and you hear a woman crying out in ecstasy, drop by and say, "Hello!"

But wait until she's done, please.

Very nice pic..wish I was there to hear and watch!!! :)

My wife and I are more talkers and low grunts.

When I think of screamers, I think of the old movie Porky's with Kim Cattrall. So I dont know if I would be embarrassed after she was screaming or feel like..."yep, I am the man"

I am very vocal and unladylike but he likes me to tell him what to do and I enjoy telling him how good he is at doing it. If the neighbours don't like it, tough

College

In college I had one girl that all my roommates heard....it was funny because there girlfriends started asking what I was doing to her...
Loud...very load...just moans...

My gf vocalizes. Her moans make it clear when she is approaching orgasm. This really helps us to synchronize and achieve a thunderous and mutually satisfying orgasm.
