Let's not forget that Michael Cohen has already been convicted and served prison time for merely facilitating what Trump did/directed/benefitted from in this case.

Recall as well that Federal prosecutor Cyrus Vance of the Southern District of NY went to the SCOTUS twice to get Trump's tax returns, When they got them they took a look at them with a microscope and decided to drop the case. Both Cyrus Vance and Alvin Bragg, who at the time was a federal prosecutor working for the SDONY, decided to drop the case.

Like the 'Union crowd' site in Michigan, which had about a hundred people. It turns out Trump rented the building from a non-union factory for his stump speech on unions supporting him. Trump paid people to attend and hold up his signs; many admitted to a reporter they were not union members, just there to collect money to show up.

That was funny, there were no chairs, so I guess you could say it was 'standing room only.'

He'd qualify, I guess, but this trial is about a fraud appeal - white-collar crime crap. Guess he isn't suited for that bail reform law since it might not be applicable.

Trump's bond has been reduced. He said he is good for the amount now, so in ten days, we'll read about it again and see it batted about here in the politics forum for everyone to take a crack at it.

I think that the appeals court reduction of the bond amount and the extension of time was both predictable and reasonable. The reduction clearly helps Trump in the short term, but to raise $175 million cash or near cash within 10 days is, as KeithD said, no gimme. In the longer term this reduction will benefit the Democrats politically, and the NY AG in particular. Had the AG initiated the seizure of Trumps assets and sold them off, I believe that many Americans would have seen that as very unfair, and it can be guaranteed that Trump would have screamed from the rooftops that the assets were sold at knock down prices (whatever prices were achieved)

It is important to remember that the appeal court's decision did not take place in a vacuum. Last week Engeron greatly increased the powers of Barbara Jones the Trump Organisation monitor. He cannot transact any deal of 5 million either singly or in the aggregate without her authority and she has to approve the quality of any bond or source of cash before any related documentation is lodged with the court
