Trump gets special handling.
The NY Court of Appeals arbitrarily reduced the amount of Trump's $464 million appeal bond to $175 million.
Why? No reason given.

Trump gets an additional 10 days to raise this sum.

The system is rigged.

ar·bi·trar·i·ly
/ˌärbəˈtrerəlē/

adverb
adverb: arbitrarily
  1. 1.
on the basis of random choice or personal whim, rather than any reason or system.
"recurrent infection is arbitrarily defined as three or more infections a year"

  2. 2.
without restraint in the use of authority; autocratically.
"everyone has the right not to be arbitrarily detained"

it's annoying as hell but not entirely unexpected... now we'll have to wait and see if he can raise that sum, since the 30 companies he was begging from refused to accept properties as surety.

the only bright note is that it's shown trump hasn't the money he brags about, but his red-hatted dimwits won't see that.

Looks like even the kangaroo court system in New York blinked first.

A good sign, I look forward to more good news for Trump.

Rigged against Trump who shouldn't have to pay any bail in NYC where known felons are released under the NY Bail Reform Laws for mom-violent crimes. Excessive bail under the 8th Amendment, which does apply to this case, is illegal. How many times has the goose-stepping Engoron been reversed in this case, five times or so?

Known felons are released with no cash bail in NYC under the Bail Reform Law.
I actually forgot about that current bail reform measure in New York and applying its logic here.

I wonder if any of Trump's lawyers thought of it or tried to argue it.

Rigged in favor of the rich.

Yeah, everyone being treated equally before the law was exploded some time ago regarding Trump. As long as they level him in the end, though, and what really matters is that he's limping out of life totally (and deservedly) harassed and pursued for crimes and corruption he's committed. He obviously is miserable. No one can possibly think now that he ever was what he claimed--even his supporters know it. They are supporting him for what they think it validates in their own rotten selves.

What are the examples of others in similar circumstances? $175 million is still a lot of money to pull together for someone leveraged to the hilt and not as wealthy as he claims. If he didn't have the slobbering idiots sending him money to soak up in his defense, he couldn't cover what he has and still has to do.

Who else has ever been given these delay privileges for comparative crimes/corruption? It's just too damn bad his legal bills and money settlements are so high. He did the crimes; if he didn't want to face the consequences, he should not so blatantly have done the crimes.

More Democrat lawfare. They are electing Donald Trump.

Recall this is the case the SDONY turned down. The discovery in this case will be interesting. We may find out why the Feds turned it down.

This doesn’t come as a major surprise but it certainly is a Monday morning buzz killer for the looney left.

Their was harm established and a criminal conviction under the laws of the state of NY.

There was no reason or rationale given for the reduction of the appeal bond, hence "arbitrary".

Try again
With no other legal parallel in NY history.

A bond that was arbitrarily initiated was arbitrarily reduced. An adult entered the room.

Let's not forget that Michael Cohen has already been convicted and served prison time for merely facilitating what Trump did/directed/benefitted from in this case.

Yes Cohen will take the stand in the phony trial against Trump as a convicted perjurer.

Bragg's case has a host of problems. The number one problem is his trying to hide the fact that he has zero authority to enforce or prosecute federal law. Note that the federal prosecutors in the Southern District of NY took a long look at the case and dropped it. Why? Trump's lawyers are going to be finding that out. It probably isn't going to look good for Bragg,
