Monday, April 15th: First Ever Criminal Trial for a Former US President

He quit the third highest position in the DOJ to be a prosecutor under Bragg, NOTHING POLITICAL ABOUT THAT? Rearranging career progression to bag Trump is TDS on steroids, just proves most of these high level justice department individuals are corrupt to the core. Deep state is alive and well.
Damn right, they are. The White house and the DOJ has been in coordination with every one of these Trump prosecutions.

I am not confident of conviction. And even if it happens, there are the Weinstein Judges to contend with.

^^^^ You know who we never hear from?

Marla.

Must be a helluva settlement and NDA.

She probably has a real life to live and has put the the Loser behind her. ☺️

Marla's the one who was caught cheating. The settlement must have really boxed her in.
Reading a bit, at first it appeared she was a fairly decent person who made on really bad mistake. But then:

"During the COVID-19 pandemic, Maples used her social media platforms to promote treatments that have not been proven effective, such as vitamin C drips. She also joined Children's Health Defense's Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in touting various discredited conspiracy theories about the disease."

I find it appalling that with the absence of a crime, the charges are not included in the indictment and that the prosecution is trying to convict Trump by convincing a jury that although Trump is not guilty of a statute violation he’s still guilty because Orange man bad?? How is that not prosecutorial malfeasance? Why isn’t the Bar association involved. Why isn’t the appellate court intervening in this sham trial.

Because it's still too early for these entities to get involved.

What Bragg et al aren't realizing is that if they lose and Trump gets elected, they're asses are grass because it's obvious this is coordinated election interference between the D's and their lackeys.

Which makes it a conspiracy. Which is a RICO violation.

Welp, time to call in the big RICO specialist. Fanny where are you? :ROFLMAO:

I would be concerned a misinformed jury could convict. That could affect the outcome of the election. imho

Fani is going to be wearing Jailhouse orange a lot sooner than she thinks she will.

I doubt the election depends on the trial outcome. Those who aren't going to vote for Trump won't change their minds. Ditto for those who are. As for Independents, while many say they haven't made up their minds, they're lying sacks of shit and everyone knows it because the poll numbers haven't changed that much no matter how bad things have gotten and are sure to get worse.

So it really comes down to whether D's stay home, because they know Biden is fucking them over but they'll never vote for anyone not a D, or not. That won't depend on a conviction.

Me too; I'm hoping the outcome is a conviction as well. The information seems pretty clear so far, Trump is at the center of another damning episode in his life filled with tribulations and possibly more crime.

Fani is going to be wearing Jailhouse orange a lot sooner than she thinks she will.

According to a recent poll, about 26% of Republicans would be influenced by a conviction. If that is accurate, it would really reduce the margins between Biden and Trump.

You mentioned how it would impact Democratic voters. I hope they see the importance of not sitting on the couch for Election Day. They should consider their vote crucial to thwarting a Trump third-world political stance.

Guilty or innocent, Trump deserves his day in court. Its significance will be forever embedded in history books, as it was a time that tried to damage the will of the people and the strength of our Constitution.

trump celebrated melania's birthday in style: spent most the day in court and a large portion of the evening ranting on truth social about Liz Cheney and robert f kennedy jnr

reposting a 'truth' about locking up Cheney for 'her crimes', and then this 3-page diatribe about how kennedy's a democrat plant! happy birthday, mel

guess he's been told about kennedy draining republican voters from trump more than Biden.
this is just page one:
RFK Jr. is a Democrat “Plant,” a Radical Left Liberal who’s been put in place in order to help Crooked Joe Biden, the Worst President in the History of the United States, get Re-Elected,” Trump posted. “A vote for Junior’ would essentially be a WASTED PROTEST VOTE, that could swing either way, but would only swing against the Democrats if Republicans knew the true story about him. Junior’ is totally Anti-Gun, an Extreme Environmentalist who makes the Green New Scammers look Conservative, a Big Time Taxer and Open Border Advocate and Anti-military/Vet.

Poor Melania, alone or somewhere else celebrating her birthday. Maybe Barron met up with here and some of her friends to celebrate. Isn't she something like twenty-six years younger than Donald?

Trump was in NY whining, obviously hamstrung by accusations of being a criminal again. Perhaps he sent her flowers or bought her one of her new design necklaces with the gold butterfly for $245.00 as a token of appreciation for not ratting him out, like his friends in NY are doing for him.

Is Truth Social a factual resource or just a substitute for psychiatric care? It keeps his fingers busy and stimulates his mind late at night. [DTJ stock is up a tad, $41.00. Strangely, the CEO sent a letter to Congress asking for an investigation of the stock's potential manipulation. Go figure–another investigation.]

And Trump? Well ... so Trumpish when he 'should be allowed out to campaign, 'bound and gagged' by a crooked judge and a crooked DOJ with crooked Biden orchestrating his demise, right? [I thought Joe was incapable of orchestrating a government seizure according to Trump.]

Liz Cheney is honorable.

Robert is more like an invasive plant rooted deeply in manure rather than a 'Democrat plant' variety. Why is he considering a fictional run that doesn't make rational sense?

someone's investing heavily after its prices dropped to the $23 range, for sure

He is not charged with using election or campaign funds. He is charged with 36 counts of falsifying business records.

If you're going to try and defend this, you should at least under what he is actually charged with, not what Fox ect is saying he is charged with....

Say it with me. Falsification. Of. Business. Records.

See? That wasn't so hard now, was it?

Speaking of "not hard", how about that David Pecker? Hey-oh! High five!

How is that not prosecutorial malfeasance? Why isn’t the Bar association involved. Why isn’t the appellate court intervening in this sham trial.
Because he is charged with Falsification of Business Records.......is that so fucking hard for you to understand?

There is zero doubt he did Falsify the records, the evidence being shown is to prove why he did it. Not that he has.

If he did it to protect his wife from finding out, then that is evidence that he had no criminal intent with hiding the payment. However if he did it to help his election prospects, that is criminal.

You're so fucking far up Fox New's asshole, you can't even understand what he is charged with, and what will convict him, or exonerate him...

This brings us to the final potential object offense, and the one that seems to bear the most weight in Bragg’s presentation of the case so far: New York Election Law § 17-152, a misdemeanor offense that prohibits “conspir[ing] to promote or prevent the election of any person to a public office by unlawful means.” Trump has sought to challenge Bragg’s use of this statute as well, arguing that it applies only to state and local elections, rather than presidential elections—which Merchan rejected. The former president likewise argued in federal court that FECA preempts § 17-152 in federal elections, but Judge Hellerstein held this to be “without merit.”

During opening statements on April 22, prosecutor Matthew Colangelo emphasized the role of § 17-152 in the district attorney’s case, declaring, “This was a planned, coordinated long-running conspiracy to influence the 2016 election, to help Donald Trump get elected.” Senior Trial Counsel Joshua Steinglass further underlined the importance of the statute the following day, describing § 17-152 as “the primary crime that we have alleged” as an object offense. “The entire case is predicated on the idea that there was a conspiracy to influence the election in 2016,” Steinglass said.

Now which is it? Bragg’s intention is to confuse the jury into a conviction. The statement of facts doesn’t marry up to the object offense. If you have to re-read the charges several times and still come out totally confused as to what the trial is all about then it’s ripe with judicial misconduct. The grand jury charges are not the same as the object offense presented in the opening statement.

Everything you posted has to do with the bold portion of my post. He is charged with Falsification of Business records.

I suspect Trump's mind is so corrupted with hatred of Biden that if anyone asked him what he is charged with, he couldn't answer with any legal terms - politically corrupt DOJ and crooked Joe Biden are, by the way, not legal terms.
