After watching today's Supreme Court hearing, this is an easy case to solve. Trump isn't claiming he can kill anyone in this NY court and has immunity to do so because he was acting in his capacity as President. [He didn't lose the last one, so technically, he is still President.]

If he prevails in The Supreme Court, then hell, all hell will break loose if he gets re-elected. [Hoping for that not to happen as a majority of Americans sense he as insane as hell.]

The courts will never agree to full immunity, by that same debate they will never remove all forms of immunity. Defining presidential authority, acting in presidential capacity as apposed to deriving personal gain from criminal actions seems to be the delicate balance the court is trying to establish. It appeared to me, listening to the debate that the court still prefers the current method to deal with rogue presidents and that’s through impeachment and trial by the senate then referral for prosecution.
