After an absurd $450 million decision courtesy of Attorney General Letitia James, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg will bring his equally controversial criminal prosecution over hush money paid to former porn star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election.

Lawyers have been scouring the civil and criminal codes for any basis to sue or prosecute Trump before the upcoming 2024 election. This week will highlight the damage done to New York’s legal system because of this unhinged crusade. They’ve charged him with everything short of ripping a label off a mattress.

Just a few weeks ago, another judge imposed a roughly half billion dollar penalty in a case without a single victim who lost a single cent on loans with Trump. (Indeed, bank officials testified they wanted more business with the Trump organization).

Now Bragg is bringing a case that has taken years to develop and millions of dollars in litigation costs for all parties. That is all over a crime from before the 2016 election that is a misdemeanor under state law that had already expired under the statute of limitations.

“Prior to Bragg's indictment, SDNY prosecutors investigated Trump's alleged campaign finance violations, as did the Federal Election Commission, but both declined to pursue the case because Trump used his own money, not campaign finance money, and because reimbursing someone for a hush-money payment does not fit the definition of an in-kind campaign contribution. In fact, candidates do not have to disclose expenses that would have been incurred even if no campaign existed; it is highly likely that Trump would have paid Daniels regardless just to avoid any marital strife or embarrassment to himself and his family.”

“Furthermore, because Cohen paid Daniels on October 26, 2016, 13 days before the election, and Trump did not complete his reimbursement payments until December 5, 2017, Trump would not have had to report the payment to the FEC, assuming he had to at all, until February or March of 2017 at the earliest, well-after the 2016 election ended.””

Different apples and oranges case. The above was about the campaign funds. Bragg's charges are unrelated - tax fraud on his state and federal tax filings and a bogus claim that the deductions were for legal fees, and not hush money. Lying on your taxes gets you in serious trouble.

Seriously? "It is highly likely that Trump would have paid Daniels regardless just to avoid any marital strife or embarrassment to himself and his family." Then why did he pay off others in the past for this same shit?

His case is underway today in Manhattan.

Michael Cohen paid off Stormy, Trump repaid Cohen. The money came from Trump.org, a massive slush fund that Trump used for his business and personal expenses. He and the organisation are the same thing. Because he used the 'business' fund to reimburse Cohen for the purpose of cleaning up his public image, it was for campaign purposes. Then he appealed for cash from his followers, creaming off funds back into his personal accounts/trump.org (same thing).

So T&T pays a PAC, Trump takes the cash and it's put into the same pot that paid off Stormy.

When Trump is in jail it'll open the way for Q to be the leader of the MAGA party and be President of the World! And just remember , NOTHING CAN STOP WHATS COMING!

Trump is trying every excuse in the book to delay the trial. He told the judge he wanted a day off to attend the SCOTUS oral arguments and complained he would miss his son’s high school graduation. I bet he couldn’t pick his son out of a lineup of 3 boys.
