I think that only really leaves the mother doing/having done one of two things: waiting for the girls to break up with the son and then make her move, or outright steal the girls from her son for her own pleasure.

I like the possibility mentioned that maybe this time it's the girlfriend who's the main instigator. I personally wouldn't go down the route of her only dating the son to get to the mother, but maybe they're college students or something and the girlfriend was in a class with one of the exes. Said ex then sees the girlfriend with the son and lets slip that she used to date him. When asked why they broke up or something like that, the ex can reply "his Mom was better" which could really start the girlfriend's interest.

The "realistic" route is almost never erotic. I think there should be just enough realism so that it's believable.

I agree threesome is overdone. Also, muddles it up into an incest thing. I think it'd be more interesting as a love triangle thing, where both mother and son compete for the love of the girl. Then it settles into more of a polyamory type relationship, if you want a happy ending.

I think it depends on what you're after. If in reading a raceplay story, I don't want to think about the very real horrors of slavery, systemic degradation of an ethnic minority, or a history of oppression.

I agree, your example is dumb, but it is also an example in my mind of why realism is important. Too cartoon-ish and its not erotic, just silly.

But the opposite can equally hold true. If I want a tale of people cucking each other, I really don't want hear that the characters eventually got divorced and their kids grew up with traumatized childhoods because both parents moved on with new families, leaving the children with no sense of a true home to belong to. Tons of stuff happen in Literotica stories that would be plain insane IRL.

I don't think it's realistic for anyone. Just, some people don't care if erotica is realistic. In fact, some don't want it to be realistic.

Or she tells him outright that is his purpose. What follows is his selection then seduction of them, and then Mommy's. The son could simply become horny and fuck his mom out of revenge, but otherwise not have a threesome with his girlfriend and mom, like in "Me, Mom, and Lost of Freinds". In that story, the son finds out his mom is a gangbang milf and has been fucking his friends behind his back. After he enters a sexual relationship with his mom, he unfriends his former friends and doesn't hang out with them after that, probably out of jealousy.

Somehow, I find this exact scenario, where son's girlfriend is getting a thing going with his mom extremely arousing. In my quick fantasies I usually go with somewhat dub-con where nobody (perhaps except mom) has much freedom of choice but to accept the arrangement.
