LGBTQ Railway, railroad & modelling friends

Hello railfans & modellers!

I’m interested in meeting a gay or bi person (or people) who is/are also interested in railroads & railways, and in modelling. for likeminded chat, friendship, possible meets, visits, etc. I am in the East Mids South Notts/N.Leics/S.Derbys area of England.

Scale, gauge, prototype are less important, as they are likely to be different. As are sexual preferences. So collaboration on either of these is not assumed, would be a bonus. At present I’m modelling a US Shortline in O Scale. I’m involved with a heritage railway in UK. So I’m both railroad and railway, as well as Bi.

I know there are a fair number of LGBTQ railfans and staffers, but there isn’t a social space for us I know of, maybe one exists? It can be a bit lonely in the workshop!

If there are several people interested, maybe we could form a group? Which could even be international, eg UK and North America?

so do I sometimes! I’m building an O scale shortline layout set in New England. Has to be short, just 10 feet long!

Worked in Nova Scotia for a couple of years. Campaigned to save local shortline without success.
