American politics has never been for the thinned skin or the faint of heart.
What many see as a recent change in the dynamic is that we no longer have a reasoned place for compromise.
The question to be asked is - how do you sit with an anti-American who is a communist, pedo, Marxist-socialist? I wouldn't, would you?
How do you explain to a person millions of illegals aren't voting? I can't. Can you?
Where's the common ground truth? No easy answers so conversation can become hateful.

A can-do spirited person who abhors government, especially at the national level, can never see eye-to-eye with a person who believes that government is absolutely necessary to order our lives and protect us from ourselves.

Let's revisit 2018 for a moment. AJ, (who notoriously bragged for years that he did not have or need insurance, becoz he had some better....CASH RESERVES) got unceremoniously sacked from his easy-peasy IT job and could only find temp work unloading semi trailers in the cold Missouri night air at Walmart.

He took sick, as sedentary folks forced into a life of physical exertion often do. Came down with "new moania" and atrial fibrillation. That TEN THOUSAND dollars in CASH RESERVES didn't last long in a hospital environment, and Good ole AJ became a ward of the state, a government mooch. Some that glibertarians hate more than anything.

His self-loathing continues to this day.
