Pentagon to open combat jobs to women

The U.S. military is ending its policy of excluding women from combat and will open combat jobs
and direct combat units to female troops, multiple officials told CNN on Wednesday.

The Pentagon has left itself some wiggle room, however, which may ultimately lead to some jobs
being designated as closed to women. A senior defense official said if, after the assessment, a
branch finds that "a specific job or unit should not be open, they can go back to the secretary
and ask for an exemption to the policy, to designate the job or unit as closed."

In Arizona Attorney General’s Opinion #74-13 of August 1, 1974, Attorney General N. Warner Lee sets forth
that “No one may enter upon State Trust Land without a permit.”

Like many crimes, illegal occupancy of Trust land ranges from minor to major offenses.

Even people walking their dog on Trust land in their community must have a permit, in this case a Recreational Use Permit.

Over the past ten years, compensation for use of Trust land without proper authorization
averaged more than $159,000 per year. These funds were collected from 228 different actions.
Most involve native plant damage or theft, mineral theft, roads or utilities placed without
a right-of-way, and commercial or agricultural trespass. Most are resolved through negotiations.

In fiscal year 2009, a record settlement of $6,547,825 was collected as a result of trespass resolution
after more than 270 acres of Trust land was bladed without authorization. This sum is not included in
the above averages due to the unique nature of the matter.

Trespass Investigators also respond to numerous other concerns: everything from OHV complaints, dust,
squatters, cemeteries, historic issues, trash, environmental issues (solid waste), target shooting,
insect complaints (bees and roaches to name a few), fire fuel complaints, weeds, and myriad of

I'm exited and hyper. I want to go out and tackle the snow, now! My face finished peeling. That was the worst wind burn- like
skin problem I have ever had. I have been in Maine when it was so cold it hurt to breathe. I have been outside in New Hampshire

A hyena is not from the wolf family- Binturong, Civet Cat, Genet are closer
Two female hyenas rule the clan. They have pseudo penises. Clan members greet each other like dogs.

Danish bacon ? Après-ski

bacon 75 g
100 g Parmesan cheese
butter 100 g
wheat flour 2 ½-3 dl
sugar 2 spsk.
salt 1 tsp., fine
chilli powder 1 knsp.
thyme 1 knsp.
sesame seeds 1 ½ dl, black


Cook bacon, until cooked through but still pliable. (Not crisp, no burned areas.) Let cool.

Cut bacon into small batons or crumble. Mix in a bowl with the grated Parmesan cheese and butter.

Combine the small amount of flour with the sugar, salt and spice and mix with bacon and cheese. Add flour, if necessary.
( Add flour if it is too sticky to form a ball.)

Portion the dough into two parts. Make two sausage shapes into approximately 4 cm in diameter.
Place layer of black sesame seeds on baking sheet. Roll the sausage shapes in the sesame seeds.
(Should be thickly and completely coated in seeds.)
Wrap shapes in wax paper and place in the refrigerator for one hour.

Set your hot air oven at 175 ° (Convection oven setting? Centigrade?)

Cut the dough into very thin slices, ½ cm. Place slices on wax paper while you work.
You will need to transfer the slices onto the cookie sheets. (2)
Cook until crackers crisp and golden.
Look in the oven window after 20 min
May have to cook them for 30 min.
(Depending on your oven)

Cool completely, and serve with a glass of good beer.

LINDEN - The San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office is investigating a Linden High School teacher who is accused of stealing from students, authorities said.

The teacher was allegedly caught on video taking items from students' backpacks in the locker room during physical education classes.

Deputy Les Garcia, a spokesman for the Sheriff's Office, said the investigation is ongoing and the teacher's name is not being released at this time.

"We have a deputy interviewing witnesses and any potential victims that might be out there," Garcia said. "Once he's done with that, the case will be

where people and dolphins interact, urging caution and warning of peril.

interactions between dolphins and people, said injuries had been relatively minor so far.

But she added, "Just because dolphins have a smile doesn't mean they're non-aggressive."

In 1994 the researchers discovered a newly killed porpoise, its flank torn by bloody tooth marks --
marks that perfectly matched the 0.45-inch spacing of the teeth of adult bottlenose dolphins.

"It was, 'Oh my God, the animals I've been studying for the last 10 years are killing these porpoises,' " Dr. Wilson recalled.

Some persistent dolphins are being credited with saving a dog that ran away on Marco Island. The dog's owner
said he had been missing for 15 hours before the dolphins alerted neighbors.

Turbo disappeared late Sunday night after his gate was left open. And that's when Burnett and her sons
went looking for him.

Fifteen hours later, dolphins got a neighbor's attention, alerting them to the stranded dog in the water.
