Good phone location tracker?

As I've posted, I am meeting my Sir IRL for the 1st time this weekend. As I'm traveling alone and I'm handicapped, my friend is insisting on having a GPS tracker app on my phone she can use to locate where I am if anything happens. I did mention that if anything did happen to me, it would only help her locate me if my phone was left with my body .... needless to say, she did not find that comment the least bit amusing. Ok, I understand.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a good free app we can both download and connect?

Both Apple and Android based phones have built-in "find my phone" feature. Just enable it and give your friend access.

Ok, I am a technology dinosaur. Any help is appreciated on finding this. We both have Android phones.
