A young couple with a child is going through day-to-day life and the husband notices that his lovely wife is just - off, a bit. He doesn't suspect anything in particular. Then one day, he's at his job, steps out of his building, and sees his wife across the street, dressed to the nines. He drops his coffee in the trash and sets off after her. He follows behind at a distance and then notices, he's not the only one following her. A man/woman is following discreetly just twenty feet away from him. Suddenly she steps into a downtown building. He looks at the sign on the building. ACME. The other person tailing her steps to the curb and hails a taxi. They are gone before he can act. He returns to his office and Googles the property but can find next to nothing on this ACME company.

I don't do cheating stories, so let's just forget that. But what other things could she be up to? I'm gonna have to get creative on this one, and I'd appreciate any help.

Sorry in advance... this is a bit wide of your requested mark but something in it might appeal either to you or others. I made up this story start outline some time ago based on a thread here. Never actually wrote it up.

One day a man notices his office colleagues lined up at the window and looking the ten storeys down at the pavement outside opposite the building. For the first time ever, it's obvious that a prostitute is selling her services in the neighbourhood.
