Chat Rules:

"One of the primary roles of the Moderator staff is to ensure that chat is
a pleasant, inclusive environment for all users."

1. By entering Literotica.com and the Chat Room services, you agree to these rules as well as the Literotica.com Terms of Service; and to moderator action taken by site Chat Moderators and Administrators in order to maintain the site in accordance with those rules.

A. The Terms of Service (TOS) can be found here: https://www.literotica.com/stories/tos.php

B. Direct criticism of the site policies, rules or the conduct of an individual moderator can be raised by contacting the site admin at http://forum.literotica.com/private.php?do=newpm&u=7

C. For Moderation purposes, chat is to remain in English. Please do not use other languages to communicate.

D. When you enter a room, please make sure you read the red welcome banner text as it may have further information specific to that room.

2. Treat other chatters with civility.

A. Speak as you would like to be spoken to.

B. Discrimination is not tolerated. All are welcome in Literotica.com, regardless of gender, background, kinks, or fantasies; as long as they adhere to the site and chat rules. This also means all are welcome in every room, provided they do not disrupt the rooms theme or chat.

C. Do not threaten, stalk, or harass other chatters in public rooms, nor in private messages. If asked to stop messaging someone (in public, or private), do so. It is encouraged for everyone to remember they are adults and can choose to ignore someone they do not like (with or without the Ignore Button).

D. If you have an issue with another chatter that can not simply be solved by ignoring them, or there is a room disruption, please seek a Moderator (found in the Chat Mods Room and/or in other rooms with a grey star next to their name). Whenever possible, please take screenshots of the incident. Those could be saved to an image site and a link shared to the Moderator, do not crop the images before sharing. Please do not react yourself.

3. The following topics will result in an Instant and Permanent Ban from the chat services and possibly from Literotica.com com entirely. The legal age on Literotica.com is 18 years old or over. There is no discussion or further warnings for these topics or rules.

A. Chatters who are below the age of 18. (real life or roleplay)

B. Discussion of any sexual activity below the age of 18. Ageplay below 18 is strictly and explicitly prohibited in any form or context, erotic or otherwise. (real life or roleplay)

D. Discussion of rape or abuse, of anyone who can not consent to roleplay. (real life, or third party fantasies)

E. Discussion of any bestiality, real animals and/or animal sexual anatomy. (real life or roleplay)

F. Discussion of necrophilia, snuff, cannibalism and vore. (real life or roleplay)

G. Solicitation of real money. (real life)

4. Do not post links to any sites other than Literotica.com in the open rooms.

A. Do not advertise for other companies, personal sites, other chat sites or services (such as Skype, kik, or even some interactive toy services).

B. Do not ask others to join you off of Literotica.com.

5. Do not spam posts in chat.

A. Roleplay ideas or advertisements of what you are looking for should only be posted in any room at a time and a minimum of 30 minutes between posts or if the post is still visible in the scroll for slower rooms.

B. Distinctly different advertisements may be posted in no more than three different rooms, each following the same 30 minutes between posts.

6. Do not disrupt the flow of room chat.

A. Do not post consecutive lines of chat that does not participate in room dialogue. This can include, but not limited to, the use of single characters or words, lines of a song or poem, or other randomness when it is not in participation of room activities.

B. Posting single characters or simple phrases to test your connection is disruptive and not necessary.

C. Requesting play or topics that are not part of the theme of the room may have you directed to another room that is more on topic with your requests.

D. In room roleplay may be discouraged in many rooms. Even in rooms where it is permitted, it may be distracting. Please be courteous if others are asking for the roleplay to move to a different room or to Private Message.

E. Do not attack the theme of the room or the lifestyle surrounding it.

7. Not every potential situation can be covered by a set of site rules, and the moderators have been selected to be rational enough to review a situation and act accordingly. If a moderator sees behavior which is detrimental to the site they can take action on their own to end a situation.

A. If asked by a Moderator to cease a behavior that is disruptive or against site rules, please comply.

B. Moderators will not discuss bans with users other than the banned user directly. If you have been banned, you may note it here http://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=1492325, or, better yet, send a private message to a moderator.

We reserve the right to reject or remove any content or work that the community finds disruptive (or that causes harm to the community or any member of the community) for any or no reason. Not every potential situation can be covered by a set of site rules. If a moderator sees behavior which is detrimental to the site they can take action on their own to end a situation.

Possible moderator actions may include kicks, bans, and temporary bans. If the ban is temporary an attempt will be made to notify the recipient of the ban of this, otherwise any ban is considered permanent.
Immediate ban topics are exactly that, those are topics that will not attempt pre-emptive warnings etc. As the rules have been posted in the Literotica Terms of Service, Rules of Publication, the Chat Log in page, the Chat Lobby, and in many room banners… there is no further warning required.
Moderators will not discuss bans with users other than the banned user directly. If you think you may have been banned, you may message a Moderator or Admin via the forum to request more information.
