Breathe!

Freedom to Stay

Freedom to Stay

The fevered fires flew
This Fourth of July
Glorious colors of red white and blue
Lit up the crystal clear night sky
Just to say
We are alive

That crack and bang
To accompany the celebrated view
As the gun powder rings through time
In homage and peace
To those unknown souls
That have crossed the line
And fought the battle for our life

They brought with them
In freedom and peace
In war and strife
As they stood against all odds
For our declaration
Our independence
Our country's birth

We venture into this world
With grace and honor to them
Those that have paved our roads
Laid the unbroken structure of faith
So that we may have this day
With our freedom to stay

Broken by Consent

Broken by Consent

Wonder if I went away
If I met my untimely fate
Would my ghost remain
Would I?
Could I?
Wonder these shattered walls
That have kept my life

Would I be lost
Even in death as I was in life
That nonexistent being
Traversing the halls
With whispers and murmurs
So scarce the sound
As a dogs whistle for the living
Barely audible to human ears

Or would I venture forth
Traverse space and time
To see the reflections of my years
Memories flowing as movies to my eyes
Color coded by the amount of pain
Lived each day

Could I smell fragrant aromas
From a day so long ago
The sweetened whiff of salted ecstasy
With the almonds roasting on the fire
Cracking and snapping
As their scented essence filled the air

Would I be so bold
So daring or brave
To face that first kiss once again
The wrongness salivating
As acid from parting lips
To the taste of unwanted sin

Could I face again
As now an adult passed
The reflections of my life
Bound by the slickness of his touch
The stranger against my flesh
Silk and smooth with caress

The fear of remembrance
The anxiety
The pain
The apprehension
Imprisoned by the truth of my life
When I was
Broken by consent

Gift to Life

Gift to Life

As of my blood
You were born
Parted of my flesh
My child of life

You have been
My very breath
The beating of my heart
Every exhale made
As you have always been
And will always be
The reason to life

Let not this world
Tear you down
Give not to its condemning ways
Stand above the depths of despair
From some mislaid destiny

Be alive with faith
Let destiny crumble to dust
In the wake of your dreams
Have faith my son
I believe in you

Walk not in the shadows
But stand before all
And break the curse
Bound in our bloodline
Let your life reign supreme

As you are to me
My blessing
My reason
My entire life
You are my blood
And
My gift to life

A Broken Lie

A Broken Lie

It is not love
When their words are lies
When they fill your mind
With wishful whispers of poisoned distain

It is not love
When they deny you time
When they push you aside
For every whore they can find

It is not love
When they break faith
When their virtue and trust
Lies shattered in a pit of shame

It is not love
When they exile your heart
To cry alone in your prison of sorrow
As the invisible victim of their denial

Do not deny
The glory of what you hold inside
Put faith in the will of you
As they are only pain to cast aside

Nothing stands greater than truth
And their truths are lies
Don’t waste your life
For a broken lie

Body in Rest

Body in Rest

Mild is the mind
To play with scents and time
In the aroma of life

The cleansing fragrance of Clary Sage
Seeping from the bubbled bath
Expelling the stagnation of destilled air
To calm the minds duress

A tonic to the soul
A sedative to the sorrow
Consoling in the darkness as you rest tired eyes
To the flickering cedar wood scented candles
Playing pause to the darkness
Mingling with the earthy fragrance of sage

Laying with your mind and soul
Against the safety of its soaking walls
Devoured by the scolding waters caress
To ease your aching flesh

Gentle and soft
The timid sound of faint bubbles popping
Serenading the silence from across your bubbled breasts
To still the calming darkness

Enveloped in the warmth
As a tranquilizer to the mind
The relaxing embrace claiming every sensation
Consuming and purging every ounce of flesh
Mind and soul
As you lay your weary body in rest

Earthly Womb

Earthly Womb

Troubled times are coming
Troubled times are coming
But the rain will never end
But the rain will never end
Feel its bounty to life
In a revival of our holy land

Let the water kiss the earth
Let the water kiss the earth
And wash away our woes
And wash away our woes
As holy blessings free of strife
To be revived from its empty tomb

Let its love bathe the world
Let its love bathe the world
To heal our earthly womb
To heal our earthly womb
Rebirth with faith to mend
The empty hearts of man

As water is to life
The bounty of our world
As faith to be free of strife
In a revival from its empty tomb
Let the holy rebirth of our love
Mend our earthly womb

Nature's Grace

Nature's Grace

The meal of choice
A hardy meat stew of vegetable soup
A little carrot, parsley root and some potato’s too
A nice chunk of beef tenderized before the meal
Cooked to perfection with a little crunch and sting
Accompanied with garlic and spice
For that perfect earthly bite

She dines alone in calm serenity on her back porch
Set center stage a little wooden rustic table
Decorated with a well worn circular place mat
Beholding a copper colored ceramic bowl filled with aged rose pedals
Almost granulated and gritted to dust decaying with age
But the sweet floral bouquet from Rose Atar oils keeps their poise
While extending their decaying life

Day in and day out she finds her mental peace
Listening to the world of nature at its best
With the squirrels and beasts running amuck through the trees
And the birds in flight, north or south pending the seasons turn

As she watches off into the distance to the rolling hills that never move
Beside the rivers flowing currents passing through the winding mounds
Contented only by shimmering shades of natures greens and blues
Stilled in a mosaic dream with the beauty of nature’s grace

Virtues Steeled Dream

Virtues Steeled Dream

The chains that bind us
In the crazed zeal of our ways
Rest on moistened lips

Sweet as surrender
The cherried secrets of love
Whispered on the winds

Symphonies of sin
Seize the gateway to our lives
Commanding control

Silvered chains of lust
Speaking to the restless heart
Chained by right of trust

The mind flesh and soul
Beholding that ravished bliss
That blood thirsty kiss

In steel evermore
Begging beyond secrecy
To virtues steeled dream

was going to put this last poem in that double blind contest but well thought it was a little perhaps to cliché and then I rewrote it and well I am a little indifferent with it :/ not sure if it came out the way I wanted ...

of course critique is always welcome :p

Envy and Desire

Envy and Desire

When envy sits
On the verge of your lips
Destined for the sweetness of him
He who remains forever
Unknown

Forgotten by all
With the secrets to hold
Standing as the invisible sins
That never forgive
And will never let you live

When life holds your truths
In isolation and solitude
Bound as a victim
Neglecting your forsaken heart

Shadows begin to line
Conspiring with the monsters of your mind
As you stand
Frail, timid and weak
Hiding behind the battered walls
In rejection to be
Hidden and imprisoned within its complacency

With faith to love
As translucent as space
Beholding your dreams
As a vacant being

Life and love
Flowing through your fingertips
With nothing left to give
But the absolution of absence
To have never known
Of him

The blood of grace
Gifting your mind composure
Barely enough to survive
As you live your lonesome days
Breathing in rare necessity
Alive to the bitter stings of empathy
Holding true
With envy and desire

Cadillac Mountain, Maine

Cadillac Mountain, Maine

Stand with me
On the north Atlantic seaboard
Fifteen hundred feet above sea level
And feel the power of lovers
Caressing nature’s soul

Smell that peppered fish scent
Filling the salted waters air
Masking the flavor of that cherry lip balm
Stilled in the misted atmosphere

Shield not thine eyes to the golden glow
Let the sun rise with love and due care
Warming across the glaciers of stone
To the distant slopes of Porcupine Islands
Where the songs, music and lore
Continue to play on for a thousand years

As a distant conversation
Playing to the waters reign
Diminishing to the oncoming rushing waves
The crash of the tide stilling the sands and rocky shores
Claiming with all due peace
Those vibrant luring pastel clouds
Of Cadillac Mountain, Maine

Web of Time

Web of Time

The full moon sits
In a vigil with the stars
As the chakra’s reign
To heal and bind a heart
Of a life reborn

Candles lit one in turn
Iridescent flames timid to the night
Flickering fires dancing with hazelnut fumes
In ambiance to the pale moon light

The healing blend of incense
Burning with softened scents
Stilling the air with sandalwood
Gentled with the sweetened kiss of lavender
To make that perfect earthly blend

The energies flow
To and from with calming peace
While your eyes close
And your third eye begins

Crystallized visions
Sent to center
Visions to a healing trance
As the stage is set
To ease the lost spirits
Of the broken soul

Graced with a prayer
Whispered to the goddesses above
To bless with love
And mend all wounds
Meshed in the web of time

Arms of Love

Arms of Love

You know it comes
Just as the day dawns
There is no way known to man
To stop that approaching sun

It comes again
In that cloudless morning mist
As the apocalypse to your mind
Weaving its retribution
With vengeance to your sleepless eyes

Another night you have spent
In your prism of pain
Day in and day out
You live your life
In the emptiness of tomorrow
As there is no end
To the loneliness of sorrow

Be strong they say
Love will find its way
But how can one keep such faith
When even the vanquished bottle
Can’t ease the pain

When your only blessings
Come with the rejection of tomorrow
And those vibrant colors of sunrise
Only surmise another day has dawned

And you wonder still
If in truth a day will ever come
When you no longer lie alone

When your eyes
No longer look back
From that mirrored image
To see the flesh and shame
Of a soul unloved

When that vodka’s sin
No longer caresses your lips
And by your side
All your dreams survive
In the arms of love

Life May Survive

Life May Survive

Pried open my brain today
With tweezers and hand grenades
Gonna find those little fuckers
And blow them away!

You see they came for me
Those demented demons
They crawled through the lies of life
In a veil of smoke and fire
They laid their siege with blood and stone
For the sanctity of my soul

They did articulate
Sub dimensions in time and space
Laced with the vipers venom
That poisoned sting and bite
To save my wavering grace

They led the way
Fashioned from the pain
Molded with perfection
The only key
To set my dreams free
As they laid their claim
With every ounce of their baneful right
To stand as guardians for a century told
From their constructed walls
Of my security

Those heathen demons
Did conspire
With the shadows of desire
Embraced the suffering and shame
Bound by chain and lace
To keep me safe
To keep me sane

But perhaps, just maybe
It’s time to let go
And say “goodbye”
To the protectors of my mind
So that life may survive

Still Believes

Still Believes

Thirty eight years
Have passed me by
And the truth of love
Has failed me
Every time

It is said
The heart alone
Is weak
Timid and frail
Fluctuating between dreams
And what is real

A fantasy
A painted dream
That I have placed with grace
On a shielded pedestal of stone and ice
Veiled from the hearts of man
And the world of life

I let it’s life
Drip from my very veins
Let it wither away
To nothing
As I tempted fate
With faith

I carved its longing sin’s
From the temple of my flesh
The only life support
Held by the broken blade
Bleeding in the shame of isolation
And branded by the pain

I’ve crossed that threshold
Bearing the key to life and death
Bound as the fire to my soul
For the sanctity of its beating breath

But as the crimson dreams
Tasted their bitter demise
They faced the truth
That the heart alone
Still believes

The Pomegranate of Grace

The Pomegranate of Grace

The sandalwood scents
Of the Punica Granatum shrub
Stand above all in purity
As a comfort to the senses

Growing in that perfect pose
The turning and twisting of its branches
Birthing its flowered blessings
As its gift to life

So sweet to taste
The fruiting pomegranate of grace
Beholding its creation
Behind its leathered skin

That cure all nectar
From the seeds of arils
That dissolve on the lips
As candied sin

The sugary syrup
Of its mahogany kiss
Seeps into the weeping sands
Of the blood red soul
Erasing for but a moment
All thoughts of woe

That final bite and breath
Speaks through the very silence
Whispering of the dignity
And beauty of life that lives
Hidden within

Anniversary of One

Anniversary of One

Days come and go
Pass into the next
And back again

But one comes
Marking with vengeance
To the now hollowed heart
Of love

It sits with sorrow
Marking the end begun
For his lies had won

I wish I could forgive
And forget
To face the things that were done
And just pretend it never was

But time is the nemeses
That bleeds the soul
It has been drawn
Cornered and concealed

I can mask my eyes
To hide the shame of my tears
But no amount of mascara
Can hide the unforgiving fears

They dined with time
Trapped in his whores paradise
As his only gift to me
A meal for kings
In a bed that was never mine

And now the day dawns soon
When the blood runs true
For the pain is too real
And the wounds don’t seem to heal

The neglected years
Have taken its toll
With vengeance to love
As it was never given
A mere breath of choice
To survive

Now I stand alone
Holding the lies of love
As it has always been
Our anniversary of one

Breathe!

He tells me to breathe
But the pain is too real
Short hampered whimpers
Are all that escape
Taken by lust
In a dance of pain

Bound mid center room
Strapped to a table
All sides …no walls
Lined with trinkets and toys
He wishes to play …
And I so willingly obey
To appease such desires
Of his lusting soul
I shall remain
In lust …in pain
His object of obsession

He tells me to breathe
Whips and belts
Clamps and balls
Chains extracted from my heart
Like darkened rosaries,
burned upon my broken flesh
Floggers and crops
Blessed sinful toys
Such sadistic pleasures
Upon my naked body met
To feed his deviant mind

He tells me to breathe
In lustful tears
My whimpers escape
Strike upon welted strike
Flayed, flesh and soul
Clamps and stings
Devouring passions felt
Like a vile of liquid fire
Ripping through my veins
Rapt in his bed of pain

He tells me to breathe
Scorned in tears
Now freely flowing
enamored by his touch,
caressed so gently
to hold back the fears
again, he tells me to breathe
quivering in pain sincere
I’ve forgotten to breathe

His voice like angels songs
catered whispers in my ear
From heaven sent
Like an erotic choir
Echoing through my mind
Raptured sounds of ecstasy
... Breathe ...

My cries are but music
Upon his sadistic ears
In cadence to his gentle touch
Slight with slap and sting
He so vigorously enters me
Without remorse or pause
thrusted into my lusting core
I scream out his name
As he releases me …
Baring sweet ecstasy
Upon his neurotic flesh
My body is claimed

Taken by need
Kept by trust
Bound unto him
Forever, my sacred lover
my sin, my Master …my soul!

I like it! Kudos.
