Maybe a thread to put some pointers to erotica with an artistic touch, where you usually wouldn't have expected it - in the 'serious' media.

...

For a 'first' - and I hope you do love this 'first' - a review of photographs. vintage photographs. from a brothel. with lots of clothes. from a time when 'anything above ankles' was 'morally defect'. and written by an author/artist you'd probably heard about. please enjoy this very illustrative and intimate look inside Working Girls.

Maybe an inspiration that 'exposed' is not necessarily 'nude', 'confidence is sexy' and making private moments look 'naturally' is actually hard work.

Nudes & Censorship

A rather short article about some artists and their artworks depicting nudes that came in conflict with censors, but it also tells a bit about society. Like how pubics in public shocked people, mostly because of showing sexually confident women...Who wants to shout out "history repeats itself" first?

Beside the text there are also some fine examples of artworks to study; about shading, color use, setting, and provocation.

Here is some art by Evelyne Axell, a Belgian artist of the 1970s who played with pop art and created sensual paintings that might spark that one special glint in your eyes.

A good reference if you like to work with soft lines and intense colors.
