It's really the 9th, but we won't sweat the small stuff.

Winds

OH WOW! WINDS is nominated for best novel? I thought it was good and now some readers think it is great?

Let me say thanks to those who were involved in nominating my tale of Beau Clancy. It is an honor, a joy and an rather large boost to my already oversized ego. (Ask my wife about the ego.)

I ask, beg and plead with those who have not read all five nominees to do so. Please, vote for the best story.

WINDS is huge and at 200,000 words will take some time. Not something for a quick read. It is one of the reasons I am looking for agent. I want it published. My ego tells me that WINDS is good enough for the commercial market. My wife Barbara tells me my ego is too big already.

Techsan is the editor for the novel. I do not use this as an excuse for MY errors. I add stuff after he returns the edited copy to me. All errors are mine.

Again, please read the five nominees. Send comments publicly or privately to the authors who have worked long hours putting together a story for the member of LIT to enjoy. The comments are the only way that the writers receive feed back
i am the h20wader:)

Not a bad place for readers, either.

Long live dirty stories!

Thank You!

I want to thank everyone who voted for me, and all the other nominees. I want to thank the Academy, of course, the Goddess Aphrodite, the Marquis d'Sade, Thomas Jefferson, and my darling wife (hi, honey!). I am a professional writer who does this on the side. I find the medium creatively stimulating, and the comments are almost always witty and insightful.

One of my goals (besides writing intelligent, strokeworthy fare and delving into the depths of my characters' sexual subconsciousness) is to discover some new model for this authoring thing. Don't get me wrong, I love writing for free and I've done plenty of it, but I'd like to think that a novel-length piece of fiction with good characters, witty dialogue, steaming hot sex, and a compelling storyline might be worth something. To that end I experimented with Bean Counter, a very popular story that I gave away the first 16 chapters here, free, and then for the final few plot points to be tied up, you had to shell out a whopping $2.50 for a download, or $12.00 for a printed and bound edition at lulu.com.

It was fairly successful. Out of the tens of thousands of hits I got on that book, over 200 people were willing to shell out their hard-earned dough to get the final chapter. Some did it out of curiosity, some did it out of respect and a desire to "tip" me for my work, and only two readers really got upset at this ploy -- for ploy it was. I deviously got them hooked on the story, compelled them to read it all, and then they had a choice to make about how they wanted to finish it. In all, I made enough money to take my wife on a fun-filled weekend, as well as help finance my brother's divorce. My thanks to all who participated. If you somehow felt cheated by the ending, let me know.

I'm trying a slightly different ploy with Cock of Ages . . . I fully intend on publishing every chapter here, for free. Kinda. You see, the part you see, while it is the majority of the book, is not the complete book. There are short but important parts between the chapters that examine a whole different story arc (and answer some questions) as well as setting you up for the sequel. They aren't necessary to enjoy the book, and they aren't explicitly sexual, but they do advance the plot in ways unforeseen. I priced the complete text of Cock of Ages at the same price as Bean Counter, and while I haven't advertised it much, it's gotten some nice hits. Thanks, if you bought it.

BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE! Not only do you get the complete Cock of Ages in the download/binding, but you also get -- at no additional charge! -- the first chapter of the forthcoming sequel to Bean Counter, Second Wife. Just enough to get you interested. It's a blatant tease. It's an obvious ploy. I want your money . . . if you think I'm worth it. It's my scheme to get you hooked on my work, and eventually make you my willing slaves. Okay, that might be overstating it, but I do want to attract a following of fellow pervs who like my work and don't mind parting with a few ducats to get the whole thing. I'm reminded that writers of Victorian porn did similar stunts to attract a following.

Now before you go complaining to the Admins (Goddess love 'em!) that I'm using this virtual acceptance speech to pimp my works (which I freely admit to doing) I do want to thank Literotica which, along with the asstr.org folks, provide an invaluable service to the English-speaking pervworld. Thanks to y'all, a lot of pearls have been polished, and a lot of seed has been spilled. And they do this all on voluntary contributions and advertising. So if you don't feel right buying something from me, at least give a couple of bucks to your masturbatory benefactors, the people who keep the art of erotica rockin' and rollin', or click on a few of their advertisers. If nothing else, give a shout-out to your admins and let them know how valuable their services are to you. This is a labor of love, as much as lust, and showing the love keeps these folks doing what they are doing.

So thank you, and if you really feel like paying money for my stuff, you can find it here (if they don't edit this): http://stores.lulu.com/store.php?fAcctID=866806
Thanks, again, and if you ever have a question or just want to bitch at me, feel free to hit the author contact link and have at it!

Love, (and lust)!
