This is not the typical chain story as far as numbering chapters. The first chapter, Enchanted Twelve 1, was written by RedHairedandFriendly.

The following chapters that will be submitted by other authors as well as myself, will be titled as: Enchanted Twelve: Milly and Mandy Ch. 01; Enchanted Twelve: Milly and Mandy Ch. 02; Enchanted Twelve: Milly and Mandy Ch. 03... Or ... Enchanted Twelve: Quinn Ch. 01; Enchanted Twelve: Quinn Ch. 02 (etc...however each chapter will have a different Princesses name). Or in my case: Enchanted Twelve: Quinn Ch. 01

I don't want magic in this realm unless it is by the witch who placed the curse, or her sister (the queen). I'll be handling this side of the witchcraft. No fantasy elements here either, such as dragons, fairies, goblins, etc. I want this side of the story to be very normal. The only magic will be the crossing over of the girls into the world with the Princes.


This one is the one where the magic will be. Dark forces are allowed as well as kind ones. Goblins, elves, fairies, dragons. . .you can use those elements. This is the fantasy part of the story, the place where our hero and heroines go and are swallowed for the night into a magical world we create for them. Princes are not all related.

I might be interested. I'd have to go read a few versions to get a better feel for it since the only one I know is the DVD of the Barbie version my kids have.

Sounds like a plan. I'll PM you as well as keep this thread bumped here and there.

Like a couple other chains, I'll keep a post in the thread as a "cheat sheet" which will be updated with character descriptions and such. Anything a writer feels is pertanent to the story can be added as each chapter goes along.

I look forward to another fun filled fantasy with some excellent writers.

Sounds great. You'll definitely have more control over the couple or couples than the last chain. These stories will mainly just be set in whatever "magical" forest/castle/world we create.

A bump and a headcount for the chain. I'll be working on an opening chapter soon. Seems I have the next 6 days off, so who knows maybe the muse will make an appearance. We can hope right?

I would like to hear a bit more on the schedule and plot parameters for our contributions.

This might be a good way to end my writing virginity, so to speak. But honestly, until after the holidays, I don't know how much I could contribute. So if that's too long, I understand. Also, how much would we have to write?

The schedule (when I have it set up) runs usually a week between each chapter. However because real life often interferes with schedules I have no issues with extending a person's chapter or having folks switch dates with another writer.

The plot of the story... well we need to explain why these Princesses dance every night. I don't believe any fairy tale has ever done that for this particular piece of Grimms' work. I imagine a curse is placed on the girls and they have no say in the matter and possibly only "dream" it is happening to them. However, this is just an idea in my head and I am very open to suggestions.

Each Princess ends up with a Prince, though we have the hero who would need to end up with a Princess also, thus we need to eliminate one Prince so we don't have an odd number of Princes, Princesses and a hero with no one to dally with.

Parameters. . . you would have control of your couple or couples. No incest and no rape. You can do reluctance but no out and out non-consent, to me non-consent is rape. You can attempt it but I don't want to see the rape act completed. Group sex is fine as long as the sisters aren't screwing each other, sorry for any that may want to see that, but that's not something I want to see in the fairy tale. You can have the sisters pleasuring one man if you want... as long as you clear it with whichever writer is using that character.

If you use another person's couple you need to keep true to personality as you can, thus that means you should write the chapter, submit it to me and the writer whose character(s) you're borrowing.

There will be a "cheat sheet" for folks to refer back to. . . similar to (click here) - A Royal Sacrifice's cheat sheet. I'll add to it whatever details, you, the writer, feel are most important and necessary to maintain the stories appeal as well as the characters' personalities. It will also describe the world we create. In the fairy tale the hero travels through three forests, one of silver, one of gold and one of diamonds. Not something we have to do, but I do like the idea.

Each person would write at the minimum three stories for your couple. The fairy tale has the hero tracking the girls three nights in a row. So we'd have three nights of either debauchery for a couple, or perhaps a few nights of flirting and teasing and getting to know each other... It is all up to you and how you write the story and develop the characters personality.

This may sound tricky and difficult, but honestly it isn't. I've enjoyed all the chains I've been in and love the fact we can create stories inside stories.

I'm more than willing to help you in whatever way you need.

If you can do three stories for one couple that would be great, but you wouldn't have to. If you feel you can only do an opening start to a couple, or perhaps a story that would link a few chapters together, then that's fine too. In the end it all comes down to your comfort level and your pleasure with the final piece.

An official chain story needs three writers before Laurel calls it a chain. We have surpassed that, but I am always willing to add more writers, either before the chain officially begins, or during the beginning phases of it.

Right now we have:

Enough to start the chain, once I have a first chapter ready that is. I'd like to hammer out the details of the curse with folks. Take suggestions and such, post ideas as well as find a title for it.

Also.... to answer ima's question about how long the chain would run. It would definitely run past the holidays. In "Royal" we're looking at 24 or so chapters, taking us into the first week of December. In "Dry Valley" we ended the story with 20 chapters.

This one, if we do 12 Princesses (3 stories each), plus an opening chapter and a closing one, I see 38 chapters. Now... this can be condensed if we feel it's dragging the chain down or we're over doing the three days. We could combine a couple days in a chapter, cutting it back down to two stories per person. Again, this is all open to suggestions and that's why this thread exists, so we can hash out thoughts and details now as well as during the story telling process.

Ohhh I should warn you now. . .I was told I was anal retentive and after looking that up and reading the definition, I will agree that when it comes to writing. . . I am anal something.

I hope I don't scare anyone off. This can work. Honest.
