Ok, i think most people would agree that French is the language of love...but what is the natural language of bdsm?

One candidate is German. Its gutteral quality and brusqueness make it a natural...except they have a particularly irritating habit of putting verbs at the end of things, which is great for philosophy, but I would think one would get pretty impatient while doing a scene.

There is always Russian, but it seems to lack the precision needed, and is already overloaded with emotive tendancies. (Just read a bit of Dostoyevksy, and you will quickly see.)

So perhaps English....quick, accurate, flexible....

And the perfect combination would be French for love, English for fun!

German's a good canditate.

Far as I see it- I think English or German would be better then most Asian languages I've heard.

Though I have the most amusing image of a domme yelling at her sub in tagalog for some reason.

Welsh is the language of singing, Italian is the language of music, French for love, German for philosophy, Latin for universality... and so on.

Well, the argument could be made for Japanese, mostly for cultural connotations but I don't know how well the lack of putting consonants together to make a cacaphonous language sound good in a scening.

I wouldn't know but I don't quite think there is a langueage for it as I mostly view the language needed is mostly short utterances and simple phrases. German and Russian are very good at this - you can keep phrases short and meaningful without having to string words together but short phrases to put together to put proper meanings together, unless you are trying to discuss the scening after it in the after-care phase or trying to heat oneself up.

Not really sure.

I like that Japanese is not a very grammatically economical language. I would love to be able to give a soliliquy of barks to a nipponese sub in her native language one day.

French may be the language of love, but Haitian Creole has a force and soul that I think could make it qualify.

and you dont have to worry about conjugating anything!

The problem would be the vocabulary. I am not sure the technical instruments would have words assocated with them, so EVERYTHING would be "baga la."

Umm... I think I get it. Why does this remind me of family reunions?

What does that mean?

I asked someone fluent in creole and they didn't know.

That is what we said is croix-fer for hello.

Actually, it sounded familiar, could be I messed it up in the translation.

It might be that i'm just partial to it, but I think japanese would work well. You don't have to have anything but the verb for it to be a complete sentence. There's a form specifically for command so there's no question as to whether it's a request or not...I think that would work well. But again, I'm partial towards it.

Everything sounds like love in Brazilian Portugese.

LOL, or Spanish....especially when mixed with the physical language a certain man is so good at delivering. :)

Catalina

The language of bdsm? I think it doesn't matter as long as the words are whispered firmly and closely into a helpless subbie's ear!

I don't see French as the language of love at all. When I hear it, all I think of are people who are snobbish and fake. Sorry, I know all you Frenchies can't help it, but that's just how the sound comes across to me.

There are as many accents in French as there are in English - you get snobby English accents too remember ;)

Though French is my native language and I do think it is a beautiful and sensual language I never had any dominants that were French speaking.

And as long as the person I am with understands that past a certain point and can only answer oui, non, s’il vous plait

That can change, you know...if someone is willing to learn French for you....
