Because I think you deserve more than just a mention in a blurt thread.

:(

She passed away just before midnight on Dec 10th. I don't have many details, but some of us knew she'd been ill for a long time.

We'll miss you, love. Ride those waves now, and crank up the volume!! \m/

I loved Veebs. We used to talk On the phone a lot when we were both active at Lint. We loved talking about paddle boarding way back when we both did it before it became mainstreamed and the newest fad.

I'm so sad to learn of this news and will miss my dear, sweet friend.

"A Tout Le Monde (Set Me Free)"

Don't remember where I was
I realized life was a game
The more seriously I took things
The harder the rules became
I had no idea what it'd cost
My life passed before my eyes
When I found out how little I accomplished
All my plans denied

So as you read this know my friends
I'd love to stay with you all
Smile when you think of me
My body's gone that's all

A tout le monde (To all the world)
A tout mes amis (To all my friends)
Je vous aime (I love you)
Je dois partir (I have to leave)
These are the last words
I'll ever speak
And they'll set me free

If my heart was still alive
I know it would surely break
And my memories left with you
There's nothing more to say

Moving on is a simple thing
What it leaves behind is hard
You know the sleeping feel no more pain
And the living are scarred

A tout le monde (To all the world)
A tout mes amis (To all my friends)
Je vous aime (I love you)
Je dois partir (I have to leave)
These are the last words
I'll ever speak
And they'll set me free

So as you read this know my friends
I'd love to stay with you all
Please smile, smile when you think about me
My body's gone that's all

A tout le monde (To all the world)
A tout mes amis (To all my friends)
Je vous aime (I love you)
Je dois partir (I have to leave)
These are the last words
I'll ever speak
And they'll set me free

These are the last words
I'll ever speak
And they'll set me free.....

Bye Baby.

I was absolutely gutted when I saw the FB thing. Cool surfer chick that used to send me links to retro games and other neat stuff. She was one of the good ones.

RIP veebs.

She was a wonderful, vibrant woman. Condolences to those who knew her better than I did.

RIP veebs.

We were both insomniacs, and sometimes we'd be up til dawn trading links to banjo videos or something equally great but unusual. I don't think I'll ever be able to see surf again without thinking about her.

RIP, veebs. :rose:

We hadn't chatted in a while, but she was an amazing woman and one of my first female lit friends.

She will be missed.

I saw her make a passing mention of a health problem, but I didn't know it was this serious, so it was a total surprise when I saw the FB announcement.

She was kind, lively, and I don't recall her ever saying a bad word word to or about anyone.

She found love and happiness at least.

Gone too soon. :(

I'm sad.

I never really knew her, but I remember her from years ago here; something had made me think of her a few months ago—I can't remember what or why—and I wondered whatever became of her. This is not the answer I wanted.

Requiescat in pace. :rose:

She loved Tom Waits.

You can never hold back spring
You can be sure that I will never
Stop believing
The blushing rose will climb
Spring ahead or fall behind
Winter dreams the same dream
Every time

You can never hold back spring
Even though you've lost your way
The world keeps dreaming of spring

So close your eyes
Open you heart
To one who's dreaming of you
You can never hold back spring
Baby

Remember everything that spring can bring
You can never hold back spring...

I have no idea who this woman was but seeing all the responses on this thread and glancing over her posted threads I can see why she was so well loved. My condolences to her friends left here on earth. I hate I was so late to the party, I'd love to have known this wonderful lady.
