20 Questions: A Confessional Poetry Challenge

Question 15: What color is your crayon?

Probably a bit fragmented:

Crayon Colors
We paint our profound pleasure in passionate pink,
rosy red renders our romantic relations.
Bleak black blows in when feelings for my first flow forth.
As a boy basic brown built mythic mountains,
bold blue for rivers, lakes and seas, green for growth on the land.
Wars would be waged and won on some maps.
I make maps now not with crayon and paper, but programs and data.
Not limited to 16 colors, suites of spectra,
now not jealous of kids with 64 and a sharpener.

Question 17: Why do birds suddenly appear, every time you are near?
Why do stars fall out of the sky, every time you walk by?
Why do fools fall in love?
Who put the ram in the ram-a-lama ding dong?

Question 17: Why do birds suddenly appear, every time you are near?

Because I'm their teacher.

hundreds and hundreds (it seems that much)
of college birds
of every race, colour and creed
all waiting in anticipation
for my next anouncement

why oh why didn't I get this job 30 years ago!:(

Question 18 Tell me, why did you lie?

two more questions before my next evil plot....anyone want to chip in on the questions?

um because you were only 15 years old? ;)

Question 18 Tell me, why did you lie?
Fast : Food
Tell me, why did you lie?
—annaswirls

Because all lies are cheeseburgers. I know
they're empty calories and raise my lipid count,

make my moral cardiologist wag a gloomy finger
as he lectures on the peril to my soul, but

they all go down so easy, taste so good,
and I love the way they sizzle on the grill.

Your tofu truth is not for me. I need
double patties, double cheese, that extra bacon

slathered over my relationships. With a side
of french-fried infidelity to go.

Question 18 Tell me, why did you lie?

you seem to think lying was your perogative
oh maybe not in so many words, but broken promises
are lies too
though I doubt you see it that way.
gave you one hell of a shock didn't it when the worm turned?
your life together one big lie
you don't own me you see
not like you thought.
And how fucking far did you think you could push?
yeah round about that far.
your mother said I'd never find another man like you
Thank the fuck for that

What happened to #16 ?

the regular, and regal

Bloccoli, flied lice and beans
and sweet bao yu in oyster sauce.
Extra lice or lo mein.

was replaced by

Flied battled king schlimp
plain lice and tangcu.

fuck that
who's up for Mexican?

What happened to #16 ?

it stood there alone
license in hand and a promise of surprises
and streamers like on tv

never been kissed is never sweet

I have nothing else to say about that now

Question 18 Tell me, why did you lie?

it's love it's always love
takes us to that point right past plans and promises
there that night with Wendy and Mike right by us
you pressed my knees back,
and against Mike's shoulder I tried to scoot over
but where? head board cornered I pressed my hands to the carpet
blood rush you took me dizzy while
Wendy did her porn prayers and god I love yous I felt
her hand on my breast your chest and this is what you have given me
and yes god I love you
you stopped your motion
and asked "what did you say?"
nothing, nothing just fuck me fuck me
I lied

okay this is not done, needs a story to go with the sex to make it real, a metaphor, an image, somethingthat matters

Question #18

you say I couldn't face the truth
always bending it
to suit the arc of my horizon
refracting the sunset
into the colours of my own making

you say I ignored the gathering clouds
the potential deluge, to me
was merely water for my garden
causing new shoots to sprout
a renewal of our affair

I have my own theory
your insistance on your integrity
the claim that you were trustworthy
that honesty was your foundation
was just a mask of convenience

you were always a dirty little sneak
a bitch in heat, a player of men
you always thought you belonged on a pedestal
but you didn't like what the mirror reflected
so you didn't just lie to me
you lied to yourself as well

Question 19: A classic: If you could have dinner with any 1-3 people (living or not) who would you invite? note: you don't have to cook, of course

ouch!

"you were always a dirty little sneak"
very potent, Bogus, I feel like crying on Elga's breasts!

I know this song is not about me, but I am like the character in Carly Simon's song...
