In this category, please nominate the writer who affected you the most in 2008. Whose stories did you seek out and enjoy? Who made laugh/cry/etc.?

Author must be an active Literotica author (meaning their account is still currently on Literotica – it has not been removed or cancelled) who submitted stories during the year 2008 (and those submissions must still be on the site).

One nomination per member, please. If multiple nominations are made by a member, only the first listed will count.

I would like to nominate Soular. Her first story of Damn Dress helped me actually get the courage to write my first story on her.

There are so many really great authors here but my choice has to be

Sacrificedangel. :rose:

Best Author

KillerRomance (Lillian K. Rockmore)
she's new, but I love her work.
historical romance has never been tt good, believe me.

goooooooooooo Daniellekitten!!!!

:heart:love Daniellekitten's work. Her writing is so evocative and provocative.

I nominate Selena Kitt. Not only is her writing incredible, but she has been an enormous influence in helping Litizens get their work professionally published.

Gees, here we go again with another convoluted contest.

I've never seen so many new people vote. It makes me wonder, though. Are these new people or are they sock puppets of one or two people?

I have one identity, Bostonfictionwriter. I don't understand so many writers here having multiple identities and ruinning the contests by voting for themselves.

I think Literotica should have a rule. You can't vote for anyone unless you've have stories posted and until you at least have 100 posts. This is assinine. I give up.

nomination

I want to nominate Daniellekitten, she is amazing and I have read all her stories

Being that no one else will vote for me and since I am my favorite writer, I vote for myself, Bostonfictionwriter, as the best writer.

Freddie, you've out done yourself. I'm proud of you. You've done a great job writing so many wonderful stories. You are absolutely my favorite writer. There is not a day that goes by that I don't read one of your stories.

I'd like to personally thank you for being you. You are great. You are very talented. You are very creative. You are modest.

I especially enjoyed your "stand alone" stories. Wow!

I always thought that I preferred non-fiction to fiction, until I started reading fiction. Then, I was hooked on fiction. It wasn't until I started reading your "stand alone" stories that I was hooked on stand alone stories. Now, stand alone stories are the only stories that I read. No longer do I read non-fiction or fiction. I just read stand alone stories and only your stand alone stories.

Yeah, I know, it's that bad when one sock puppet talks and even argues with another sock puppet around here. At least I have the balls to talk to myself.

Gees, I hope I win, I mean, I hope Bostonfictionwriter wins.

Has anyone ever one after receiving only one vote? Maybe, I should sneak into a computer place and log into multiple computers to vote for myself multiple times using multiple identities.

Nah, on second thought, I have a life.

"Thanks for voting for me, Freddie."

"You're welcome, Freddie."

I would like to nominate nerd4music :)

I have read my fair share but looking back now her stories have touched me most throughout the last year.

Why do you insist on starting shit where ever you go? THIS is why no one likes you.

I thought Bostonfictionwriter might have been onto something in the beginning because of how many people were voting and how small their post counts were, but then he voted for himself and acted like an ass (even if he now claims he was joking). Now I'm going to vote for Soular as well, just to confuse him and make him wonder if I'm a sock puppet as well.

(spoiler: I'm not)

Me neither. Even though Ive not posted on here before today.

But the Announcement DID have a link to this awards thread, and it DID say "Please take the time to make a nomination in each category below." Why should I not post my favorite story, my favorite writer just because I have never posted before. There is seriously no need to Bostonfictionwriter to get pissy just because no-one has voted for him...You cannot FORCE people to vote for you, and you should consider it an honour if someone has.

Oooh, and by the way..while I'm here, I vote for Daniellekitten...there is an author with class. Hard choice to make with such talented authors around though, but in the end I would say that her stories have made me laugh, cry, sit on the edge of my seat in anticipation and trepidation as her characters go through their "lives" in a normal world or one full of the supernatural. Well done Danielle.xxx
