Artists of Erotica...

Patty, lots of hugs. :rose:  :rose:

Just coming back down from a similar scare.
Cancer of the uterus in my case, but luckily false.
Indeed, not very stimulating for the muses.

:(

Sorry for barging in on the artist's thread!

I'm having an art competition here if anyone is interested. The theme is "love not war".

*waves goodbye*

Love it

I love this one, great lighting capture.

Again, pencils. And again, experimentation from the imagination. I was playing with textures, primarily latex, PVC and leather. Latex really isn't present in this one because it's such a dull material in terms of giving off any kind of real shine or contrast from its surface like leather and PVC can. I left this up to the imagination as far as specifically what materials are being shown in the illustration, PVC or Leather?

Some day I'll have to get a better scanner. The one I have just doesn't do my images that much justice. :(

Halo,

Great work!

May I put my art appreciation class from 30 years ago to use? I hope you don't mind.

The first impression I get is that of a captive bird. There is anger in her face, she does not like the binds that hold her in place. Her prominent chin thrust forward against whatever may come - because she knows she can win. Her amrs at her side are struggling, but not in desperation, it appears to be a very controlled effort.

You've used strong religious imagery which, in todays' world is very meaningful. the rosary on her right arm, the crusifix-like pendant in her cleavage and the obvious cross between her knees has something strong to say on it's own. The belts add to the binding effect upon her.

All in all I think it is a very interestion and evocative piece of work. The partial nudity is almost lost in the fullness of the images you portray.

Well, there... you have the sum total of my thoughts; that could be even further summed up into a simple phrase. I like it.

Damn! I'm not sure what to say ...

Thank you. Thank you very much.

New to this just thought I post a rough

I have been hanging around. I have started a peice base on one of the women in the pic form but it is not done and I do not have her pernission to post it yet. If I get it I will. This is just a rough as I am just working off the rust.

Actually, when its material taken from a public forum of some sort, that you're using as reference, you don't technically need permission because the person has already put his/her likeness out there for everyone to see. Getting permission at that point is just a courtesy, not a requirement.

I might be mistaken here, but are you drawing that on the back of a memo of some sort? If so, why? It looks like the beginning of a great piece, and it would be awesome if we could see it in a larger scale as it is now and when finished. But I'm hoping that my eyes are deceiving me in regard to the sheet of paper I'm seeing that work on.

Get us a larger version posted either way. That looks like a great piece of work and everyone would like to see it in all its glory.

I was thinking of a bird too, Paul.

Never went to art appreciation classes, but I really liked the way you worked in all those christian symbols, Halo. :D

blanger, if that is rusty I can't wait to see what you can do when you are on a roll.

Tulip,

When you are an engineering major, the force feed you the things that make you a complete human being - or at least that's what they think - and since I need a T-squre and a triangle (and when I get really fancy a french curve) to draw anything, I agreed with them and took the class. They just had no idea (28 years ago) that I'd be using it to enhance my appreciation for erotic art

Thanks for the responses
Well to answer the first it is a courtesy, I know I would prefer to know if it were me. As to the paper yes it is on the back of an old memo just recycling paper. This for me is just to get the rust off I am also having a bit of a block when I move to a more expensive paper(thinking to much or trying to hard). The cheap paper is helping to get the confidance up

Here it is larger a little larger.

That's a great image, and I know which young lady you're referencing. I had asked her about getting some exclusive pics to use to do a rendering of her and she told me I'd have to use the ones she's posted. Strangly, I've lost the link to that forum ... Hhhmmmmmm ...

Anyway, I do hope you continue the spit and polish on your obvious talent while also continuing to bring us more of your works. Now we can all just sit back and tap our fingers successively while awaiting your next piece.

Ok, since the contest is such a success I thought I'd give it another try.

Sent to Laurel today:
Hi Laurel,

Some time ago we talked about the possibilities of creating a subdivision inside the AH to bring all visual art related threads together. Not including the ampic threads, but only the ones that are inside the AH, like Halo's thread that you made into a sticky.

The title would be:
THE VISUAL ARTS CORNER
Description:
Are you looking for inspiration or illustration?
Come inside.
This is the place to show, view and discuss all forms of visual art.

You said you would talk it over with Manu. I wondered if you have and what the verdict is. It would be so good if you could realize such a corner for the artists where they can be found more easily by writers and readers/viewers.

Thanks in advance.
Have a :rose: for your efforts in keeping the place running.

Take care,

Black Tulip

Perhaps you can all send some positive vibes her way?

:D

First: Saiyaman; Great sketch, and long time no see. Good to see you're still in the swing of things!!!

BlackTulip: :rose: x 5 doz.

You're too cool and thank you for your efforts with this!!! I will be sending a little note to Laurel. Have you dropped this info in the other threads yet? I'll be checking them in a minute so I guess I can just wait and see.

Dear Halo,

Thanks so much for stopping by the AM pics board to leave us a little note about this forum. I had no clue this was even here or I would have stopped by ages ago.
I don't surf the other boards as much as I used due to time constraints, but I will be coming back here to check out this gallery you have built for us. I've enjoyed what I've seen so far. There are so many talented artists among us, aren't there?

Lately I've been really into the computer graphics. I don't know how I've lived my life before I discovered photoshop! I'm now on my 4th thread of naughty pics of myself. I could just send all of you there, but I have a habit of flirting wildly and you'd have to weed through pages and pages of inane chatter. So, I thought perhaps I would link a few of my favorites here and let yall see what I am all about. Please feel free to tell me what you think. I majored in art so I have all the prerequisite art critique classes under my belt and I did well in both dishing it out and taking it. ;)

Thanks again for the invite!

Btw, I was sad that I missed the first art contest. I am really looking forward to participating in the future.

The pleasure is all mine, and welcome to our own little corner of the world. :rose:

I've seen your thread and thought the work you're doing is some really great stuff. Thank you for bringing it to this thread and we all hope to see much more very soon. I use to do a lot of photoshop a good 10 or 12 years ago, but, alas, how the skills have faded. I like what you're doing better than what I was doing anyway.

Good evening. :rose:

Thanks for the welcome and the compliments! :)

I seem to recall you dropping off a note in my shadows and light thread. Although I could be mistaken. I'm old and things seem to fly right out of my brain these days.

I didn't know that you had already taken a peek around my latest thread or I wouldn't have posted all those links from my first page that you are sure to have already seen. Then again, it gives me a good chance to introduce myself to the others who frequent this forum. Since I've browsed the incredible works here I've gotten some inspiration to try my hand at some erotic drawings. I basically am a wildlife artist when I draw and paint, but it never hurts to branch out and see if I have any talent in other areas. I can't wait to try my hand at this and I will be sure to drop off any that I feel are worthy of this thread.
