Looking for a story

I recall reading this story a year or so ago I think but can't remember who it's by, the catergory etc. I also can't remember much about the plot other than it's themed around pirates (I think).

The main part that I can remember is when the lead female, who might be a captive onboard the ship, climbs up the mast of the ship and gets stuck up there. The Captain thinks she's just rebelling but is actually stuck up there due to a fear or heights(?). He ends up climbing the mast as well in order to get her down...

It's not much to go on I know but perhaps it'll ring a bell in someone's memory.
