This chain is now closed. . . The last chapter written and submitted. If any links appear to be broken it is due to the removal of them via requests by the author's or a site issue. As of 1/06/2012 the missing chapters were being either written or submitting, starting with Ch. 8 by myself.

So will the authors all be writing about her and the others? A continuation from chapter to chapter or different aspects of the castle or what?
 
I can't commit to anything right now, with so much work still ahead of me on Danica, but I'll keep my eyes open. My muse is always toying with things without my knowledge too, so I never know when she's going to demand I put down everything and take on whatever her pet project is *laugh*

I don't see it as different aspects of the castle persay. . .A continuation from chapter to chapter yes, but each chapter would revolve around the lead character(s) or the people close to them. Eventually all the chapters leading to a climax and of course an end result.

I've got four weeks left of school, but it's my busiest time. I have 3 concerts, a graduation, 3 all-day music tours - it'll be nuts.

I have a feeling I'll be too swamped. Can I follow along but not contribute? I'd love to see how you make this work.

But of course you can. If you do decide that you've got a idea for it, though don't hesitate to pop in.

This will take several weeks to write. Dry Valley was 20 chapters. Laresa was 25.

The chapters will run about 1 week apart or so, but extensions allowed when needed.

They'll be a "cheat sheet" just like both the previous chains had and they'll be updated so writers have something to fall back on when details need to be checked and rechecked.

So if you do want in. With a minimum of four writers you'd be looking at week 4 and if we get more you could be pushed back even further. Dry Valley had 5 writers and Laresa had 7.

Sweet! I'd say we should see if there's anyone else around...I do admit from Laresa it's less demanding (and stressful) when there are a few more people involed...

I agree. I'm not ready to make out a schedule yet. :) I'm not done with the first chapter. This is the "feeler" time right now to see how many are interested. :)
 
Bumping the thread for this story idea. . . :D I hope to start it sometime after my surgery and recovery. :D So there is plenty of time to jump on board.

Red, may I make the assumption that we will be expected to write more than one chapter each? If so, I have several ideas about writing as the main antagonist, perhaps incorporating other characters that other authors develop, and doing my damndest to make our heroine's life miserable . . . .

Until, of course, this vile villain gets his due ;)

Yes, we would all be writing more than one chapter.

In Dry Valley we all averaged I believe 5 chapters each. Some had to do more, some less. In Laresa it was about the same, a few did more, a few did less.

It took 20 chapters for Dry Valley and 25 for Laresa.

I would say approx. the same number will be needed for this story too.
