Okay "Resident Evil" has moved from "Zombies" to an undead world? I caught part of a movie trailer....

For those that like Zombie books/movies I could use some suggestions on which books that are worth while reading.

I have my first Zombie story...more of a "hostel" story than an erotic story so I'm sure if I will post it on lit or not.....

When you say an undead world, do you mean there are other types of undead? Or, do you mean it's basically a zombie apocalypse, where there are very few true humans left. Because, I believe they had basically gotten to that point in the third movie.

I won't see it in the theater, but I'll definitely Netflix the new movie just to see Milla's eyes.

I don't think that there are zombies in this new 3d movie

There will be zombies, it's the only thing they kept from the games.

As for zombie stories posted to lit well there is my sex zombie story, I'll continue it eventually.

I don't know of any others, zombies aren't my thing.

try Left 4 Dead.

there's so much Zoey, Rochelle, and Witch porn online, it's not even funny (but hilarious and titillating).

Brian Keene's The Rising is an excellent zombie horror novel, it is extremely graphic in it's violence though, so much so that even as a zombie fan I found it somewhat gratuitous. He has several other zombie novels you might like but The Rising is the best IMO. Dead Sea is his worst I think.

There are some novels based on the Resident Evil games some of which are pretty good. I assume you have seen Romero's movies, of which the first few were the best, and the 90s remake of Night is excellent especially for fans of the original because the movie is AWARE that you saw the original and subtlety changes it to stay fresh while still being true to the 'source material' (something rare for a remake I think).

Brian Keene though is what's important here, best zombie novels your likely to find.

I'd like to read it. For zommbie movie i recommend Shaun of the dead, a very funny one.

it looked like, the 3d movie was about some alt world controlled by "Umbrella"

"The Rising" has a sequel "City of the Dead." In these stories the zombies are supernatural. In 'Dead Sea' a virus is the cause. Another is 'Ghoul.'

It makes more sense if you watch the first two, umbrella worked on a virus that turns people into zombies, not the brain eating kind but kill everyone not a zombie type. Milla is infected with a different kind of the virus that makes her stronger and faster, there's another guy infected with a third kind that makes him strong faster and really ugly. They don't say anything on the why of it really, just a test it's pretty dumb.

I mean big huge company works on a virus that turns people into zombies it gets released to the general population creating zombie central everywhere and they don't hand out anti virus which there is, instead the company employees go into underground vaults and keep working on something leaving all of their shareholders and the buying public to be turned into zombies.

Don't forget Crapcom's other series Dead Rising (the second one has a DL game on Xbox Live now, and the real second game is coming out near Halloween).

In Dead Rising, zombies are created because scientists wanted to create some viral agent to make hamburgers for fast food restaurants. Lamest, plot, eva.

Well yeah that is actually.

I never really played that one, your a reporter in a mall I think it was but hearing the things you have to do, take pictures in the middle of a zombie attack and bah that's worse than a lame story.

Course still better than the one EA did, you have to watch a freaking buy in the store movie to understand anything, right like they care about releasing good games.

Story in videogames are secondary to the gameplay (this is why Heavy Rain is not a videogame, but a sad version of SAW ... although setting the woman on fire was a LOL moment -- bitch had lungs)

You're looking to do fantasy and zombies? Make a (non-infectious) zombie outbreak (courtesy of a necromancer) and have a small band of adventurers deal with it.

Note that D&D zombies do not vector a zombie affliction to their victims.

** Note ** this is a working idea I have at the moment for a current project, but you can steal it if you want. Ideas, like bizzos, should be free.

You are such a sicko pervert. :p

Jen didn't say anything about writing a zombie story, though I admit the necromancer and zombies has interesting possibilities. ;)

The good thing about supernatural is there's no need to explain the biology. However, so much of modern fantasy/horror allows for supernatural evil, but makes no provision for supernatural good. Without giving too much away, is Keene one of those authors?

Your right Keene is guilty of this. The Demons run amok and the angels are like, 'Did you see Letterman last light?'

I loved the 1st movie....2nd one kind of sucked, 3rd had hopes. Hope this one rocks.

funny how zombie movies/stories are political

Yeah I feel the same way on them, course three looks exactly like City of the Dead or whatever, the latest one from Romero set underground instead of above.

Zombie movies are always political or society movies because what else can you do when most of the people of the movie are walking talking dead people that scream brains. ;)

Rather hard to do romance in that setting, and yet it's not really but then you have to set the zombies in the background and nobody wants to do that. I guess when you do a horror movie people want to be seeing people die not watch two people fall in love. I suppose I'm just to twisted for most cause I totally see a way to do a zombie filled romance.

Romero has lost it, his last two movies were lame

my story has a little romance, as the main character (human) has to find his wife and bring her to a safe place
