I am trying to get pictures from my San Disk. Nothing is happening when I place it in the drive. The light is not even lighting. I tried going to My Computer>Driver>, it is telling me to insert the disk. I assume I am fucked and my drive is bad. HELP!

What's your power source? Direct connect, USB, external drive? Are your software drivers updated? Check for dust first.

Hmm...so the problem is that the disk isn't being recognized by the computer after doing a search for that specific Sandisk? Have you tried restarting your computer and then inserting the disk again? Check your desktop files carefully, it may be hiding onscreen.

It is doing absolutely nothing. Insert the card and I get nada. Not even the indicator light.

Most likely, yes.

But what do you mean you go to "My Computer>Driver>"? Is "Driver" the name of the drive?

If you go to the device manager (Control panel "System", "Hardware" tab, "Device Manager" button) do you see any items with little exclamation marks or red stop signs in the list of devices?

put it in
reboot

if its not there
do as the poster above said

failing that

crack open the case, and check that the disk reader is all pluged in
touch the case first so you don't hit it with static electricty

if its a laptop, you're hooped
or you need new drivers

Is this some SanDisk media from a camera or just a SanDisk USB stick? If it is from a camera try to view the pictures on the camera. If that works try it on a different computer. It could be either the drive or the media (disk). Good luck.
