You're beautiful...

There was a time during my college days I was walking around downtown. An attractive young man came up to me for no apparent reason and simply said, "I wanted to tell you that I think you are very beautiful." I thanked him and he went on his way.

I have relived that moment so many times. It honestly made a difference in my life and if I could tell him that, I would a thousand times over.

I try to compliment people any time I can as a result of this one small gesture so many years ago. You never know how it might impact someone in an immensely powerful and positive way.

Have a wonderful day beautiful people!

THIS is beautiful. Funny thing, I have often wondered about this. I do not do it often, but from time to time, I have said the same thing to a stranger. I try to be careful and cautious in how I say it so as not to come across as a total creeper.

I think what is most satisfying about when I do, is how surprised they are and how they struggle with how to respond to such a compliment.

Society and the media have such a fucked up view of what constitutes beauty or even sexy. I truly wish more women understood just how special and beautiful they are...

This used to happen occasionally back when I was young, thin, perky-boobed, and had lots of long, wavy blonde hair. Nowadays, not so much. In fact, never. Even though I was a total bitch and anything but beautiful inside back then, and hopefully I'm much closer to truly beautiful now. Next time some of you see a middle-aged, frumpy looking woman who looks like she's just struggling to keep it together, think about how much further a compliment like this would go for her than you could even imagine.

I mean in person...guys on the street, my darling.

Edit - that didn't sound like it did in my head... Let's go with "people who only see what's on the outside".

I like to throw out the random compliment...

even walking by someone and telling them... "YOU are totally rocking that dress" or "Great shoes"
or whatever is fun to make then pause & then smile when the words hit them. :D
