What is the best way to tell someone you've chatted with that the chemistry isn't there... Without coming across like an elitist bitch? :)

Thoughts?

Tell him the chemistry just isn't there.
Tell him your opinions differ to much.
Tell him you don't feel a connection.

I'm sorry but I'm not feeling any connection with you. It's been lovely getting to know you, have fun on Lit, I will see you on the boards

Or words to that effect

For RL remove Lit and say I'll see you around

There is no need to be gentle, you are under no obligation to chat with everyone.

IMO, unless this guy has given you a reason to be a bitch, don't be.Just be honest and tell him you're just not feeling it and then stick to your guns. If he gets weird, use the ignore button ....that's what they're for.

Say that you are an elitist bitch who only chat with a few carefully selected people and that this person didn't make the cut. ;)

I might be in the minority here, but I would hope that you stalked me, cornered me, take your time going down on me...then tell me it just won't work out....:D

OK OK OK...I was teasing....

I have a tremendous amount of experience in the receiving side of this topic...here is what has worked the best for me personally...

One woman told me that she liked chatting in the threads, but her online personality was one way, but personally, she was not that same way. So, while in the threads she enjoyed the flirting, she just wasn't interested in reality.

To me, that was a perfect explanation. She was honest....stated she was flirting, but nothing more. End of story.

While I am facetious quite often on here, I am genuinely appreciative of your responses!

I am one of those people who winds up chatting out of obligation... So hopefully I can man up and clean house a little bit ;)

I agree with this.. there's no reason to be a witch just for the sake of doing so. If they continue to persist, just stop answering and if need be put on ignore as suggested.

Honest without being rude is the best way to go and saying we can still talk. The worst thing to here is that there's no chemistry and then being outright ignored.
