Show me the good stuff! From your own stories published in 2006, pick your one favorite. Not the one that got the most votes or views or awards but the one you're most proud of. I'd like to read some of them.

Very short.

This is one I'm proudest of...not many views or votes...but that doesn't matter...

Suzanne by the Sea

Rose's Garden If you like part 1, read part 2. I think it was the best thing I wrote last year.

Drk - I loved Suzanne by the Sea. :rose:

My favorite of the year... like wise few views and few votes... the trolls had a field day with it.....

Wet

Hero's Reward in Romance. It was my highest for votes, score, and I received the best comments about it. Although I like all my stories for different reasons, I think it has the widest appeal.

My best of 2006?

"Growing pains" I really enjoyed making that one, the whole concept of a girl going through a growth spurt and getting an adult woman's body within a short amount of time really had my creative juices flowing. I showed the result to a couple of female friends and they all said that they could identify with the leadcharacter. Certainly when it came to her relationship with her mom. Many of the people who read it said that the mom in the story reminded them of their own moms.

Go Read it here

'06 was a pretty prolific year for me. Most of my stories are '06 stories and I've fondness for each of them; it's hard to pick a favorite. If I absolutely have to pick one from '06, I guess I'd go for Exchange Value.

There's a quirkiness to it that I like.

I honestly don't know. I think Ebon Genesis has some of my best imagery. Grandfather Yule is another one I'm proud of. It needs grammar/style reworking - but Home by the Sea will always be a favorite. Danielle would probably kick my ass if I didn't say Laresa 05: Clint *laugh* A strong, short tale.

Other than Clint, some of my lowest scores. If you put a gun to my head, I have to go with Ebon, even though it needs reworked with what I've learned since too.

2006 sucked for me. I submitted a few things, but it was all material I'd written prior and had finally edited.

This year will be better :cathappy:

My favorites in 2006 are all published work...it consumed all my writing time last year...and probably will this year too...

I only submitted two stories this year. I'm not a fan of iether, really. Part 1 and 2 of Over the Sink were better than 3, and Jennifer and the Tentacle Monster was more of a seguay (that has to be spelled wrong) into the other Tentacle stories that I'm going to do later than anything else.

I think I like my government hitsquad novel that I posted a snippet of in the forums best. I'll find a link to that topic later tomorrow.

It's been awhile since I've submitted anything - my life has been chaotic this past year, to say the least.

Of my stories, I Alone is one of my favorites.

Hmm. This made me think for quite some time. It's really interesting how many different things I like and dislike about each story of mine. In the end, I think the one I'm most proud of is the one that felt the most personal to write, because I poured a lot of my deep, dark side into it. It also happens to be the best rated one (I think).

I have so many I love. . . I am going to go with Passing Glances . This is not a short read. It is seven pages, but it in my opinion is my gem of the year.

What a neat way to look for stories to read. :)
