Your Ford Thread

In the same car, and I probably told you this before, after Grandpa died, Grandma (and at the time, we didn't know that she was being eaten up by cancer) got nailed by the po-po doing 72 in a 35 (thank Allah that we don't have the laws we have now because it was also probably a school zone).

The policeman who pulled her over was told, "I never went over 30..."

;) ;)

... as she pointed to the tachometer.

I thought those tachs only said 3.

I had a 1967 Cutlass with the 330/320, the car Dad traded the '56 Plymouth in for, and then put 100K miles on, and then gave me for gradumating high School. My parents ordered it. It had no radio - just the old-school blank-off plate. And not tach. But it did have a 4-speed. I put in an AM/FM/8-track and some 6x9 Jensens. I thought I had done something.

I was coming home blacked out drunk one night a few years later and came to . . . in a ditch. I had threaded a needle between a mimosa and a light pole. Tore the front end off the car and walked away scratch-free. Allah is indeed merciful and beneficent.

This picture is pretty fucking close to what it looked like:

Except for the grill/lights, that is one good-looking car.

I wonder what The Count would do to it...

I still have not figured out why this state wants to reintroduce Wapiti..

Is it one of those busybody insurance company's conspiracies?

My Dad leased a first year LS, the one that was a first year modular aluminum head V8 with a first year Fwd tranny.

He had $27k of warranty repairs. His first year.
Ford..making Audi 5000's look dependable since 18whothefuckcares.

Okay, yet another woman who seems to be pissed at me...

;)

I get enough of that at home, why should I get it when you're on the road? :D

Okay.

;)

I coud see me driving that!

And now it is time to do some reading...

It seems that I find myself at home and in my own bed..

Peace Out Holmes!

I must be cranky this morning...

That yellow is ghastly! You should have it in any color you want, as long as it's black!

I pity my crew. If this is my mood, then they might be subjected to a bit of truth-telling...
