There will be country style spareribs, corn and a potato for lunch, tomorrow. Dinner was great.

That food is all gone. I wasn't in a photo mood for this evening's plate.

i can only imagine tonight's yumminess. there was chicken and wild rice along with roasted sweet potatoes, brussels sprouts and garlic for dinner. the sprouts have me singing.

Garlic sprouts are awesome.

I made these Cuban burgers the other day, but got a request to make them again. I used a recipe off Saveur and then this time also added an egg since my first time they tended to fall apart a bit. I also BBQ'd them on an old cookie sheet and got that great smoke flavoring.

I made the grated fries and guacamole for a spread. Tada!

That looks good.

I just watched a movie this month, called "Food Truck," and at the start of the journey once he gets the actual truck, they make some kind of Cubans.

My midnight snack would have been fish tacos, but I didn't feel like a fish burrito and I didn't want to take the time working some masa into tortillas. So I guess I had fish stew.

Bermuda onion sautéed with pineapple. Throw in big chunks of fish, sautée some more then add in a squeeze of lemon and a couple of tablespoons of tomatillo salsa.

I see now what you meant by grading the potato and frying it up. I luv me some guac , that combo works . That's a verryyy tasty looking burger :)

I must say the only thing better than cooking for someone and seeing them enjoy the meal is sharing a recipe idea and watch people run with it. Both You & Bluebell nailed it. I think I'm going to shed a tear...

Made ailoi today - a bit too much raw garlic and I'd like to try a mix of oils next time rather than just olive oil, but it's all I had. I added an avocado that I puréed in the food processor. It helped cut the garlic.

Oh, I had made it for a chicken salad. Left over thyme roasted chicken, grapes, carrots, celery, walnut, scallion, salt, pepper.

My kitchenaid food processor had the weirdest fail. I was chopping a hunk of fancy chocolate and the blade got caught in the hunk and then did this incredibly bizarre thing. The blade sheared off and became embedded in the wall of the processor. Holy shit. I have seen a lot of kitchen equipment fail, but nothing this dramatic. I swear to god, I am going back to a Cuisinart processor. No more kitchenaid brand. Their stuff is shit, and that includes my $400 stand mixer that vibrates off the counter, ffs.

So your food processor tried to behead you? I hope you took a pic, they will not believe you @ customer service.

Today I discovered beef chorizo sausage, at of all places a Walmart super store. It's an abomination, the beef chorizo I mean.

Awww, you gave great inspiration. Something I would have never come across to eat locally.

I love when food and peeps palates really sync.

Sinny, that is frightening. So bizzarre.

I thought that the only problem was the processors starting the kitchen on fire.
(Keep it unplugged, and keep the fire extinguisher nearby.)

What the hell? I swear I am never buying another Kitchenaid appliance. Way too much weirdness. Fire???

I should have written earlier... the blade became embedded in the wall of the processor bowl. It didn't eject or fly out. It was so awful and bizarre, though. My guy took the bowl and put it on a vice and used pliers to get the blade out of the bowl. My entire processor is toast. Tried using it to slice cabbage and it bounced all over the counter just like my Kitchenaid mixer.

Seriously, don't buy Kitchenaid.

I am going back to Cuisinart.
