Cursing the fact I can't get bottled Satay sauce on the shelves here, I finally decided I'd have a go at making it. And it's so easy!
I made a bottle today. No cardamom seeds, but the other ingredients were easy to find.

I didn't cum, but the middle one definitely gave my tongue a woody.

I just got the granddaddy of bullets, the Ninja. With 900W. Yes.

This one! But with the brioche bun. That much burger and toppings would be a sad case of affairs with a wimpy English muffin bun, it wouldn't hold up to my standards of durability to not fall apart.

Lamb rogan josh with saffron rice for dinner.
Made the spice paste up 2 days ago so it has developed nice complexity.

I want a spinach omelette, but i am having honey Shreddies.

There is a great little diner down the road from my new place that makes the best omelettes, but I hate eating alone.

OMG I so want a spinach omelette now...

I made waffles earlier with the recipe above. They turned out yummy! But I think eggs would've hit the spot.

I've never made waffles, in spite of having been given a waffle maker as a wedding gift 9 years ago. I brought it with me in the move, but it is still just taking up space in a cupboard over my fridge.

Are they difficult to make?

god damn, if...

this wonderful older friend
gave me a (now precious) paper grocery bag
filled with fresh harvest from her garden...

things i like, but don't usually purchase
not for lack of love,
but for... what?

lack of imagination at times?

god love this lovely woman!

my breakfast is of my dinner two nights back...

fresh eggplant parmesan
with
a home made prima vera of :
heirlooms
three colors of bell pepper
her onions, shallots, julienned carrot and celery
garlic, of course
splash + of table red...
herbs...

oh... some bufala, and domestic parm

i had also tossed in one of her habaneros, minced finely... zing

cold in the pyrex,
warmed in the nuke...(i know!)

but anyway...

god damn, if...

if she hadn't been so kind
i wouldn't be so satisfied!

I'm both envious and admiring of your culinary creation.

This.

I do not even wait for them to ripen. Pull it off the plant (green, if necessary), chop it up, toss it in with some scrambled eggs.

I am a simple man. The shallots and julienned carrots might not make it into the skillet.

No! Super easy. I can make them and I'm not exactly chef material. The trick is to not overstir the batter. Gently mix the ingredients till they're blended, then let the batter sit at room temp for 30 min. Then, ladle a spoonful-ish of batter - less than you think (check your waffle manual for more exact amount, or just experiment till you find out what works) - onto the waffle iron and close if quickly. That's all! May take a few waffles till you get the batter amount & cook time all down, but that's fine 'cause your mistakes are edible. :D

The recipe link above here somewhere from Food Republic makes a good waffle. You can also use prepared mix, but the recipe is so easy that you might as well make up from scratch if you have the ingredients on hand.
