What is your favorite piece of jewelry?

Where did you get it and why is it special?

Does it have sentimental value?

Cassidy:)

I have a pendant that I've loved for the relatively short time that I've had it. It was sent to me by a friend, and I wear it everyday. I don't know why, but it's just perfect for me, and I get alot of compliments on it.

That I personally wear?..Or that I have made?....or if it was given to me?

one of my fav is a garnet stone necklace its very beautiful and it also has quite a bit of sentimental value ... lisa gave it to me :)

do you like garnet stones CH ?

it has the sentimental value because lisa's last present from her nan was a set of garnet earings that she got on her 18th birthday

lisa got me the necklace on my 18th birthday so its kinda special

Any of the above. Whatever fits the topic. It can be something you wear, made or given to you. I just wondered what was special to you and what makes it that way:)

I have a gold bracelet that my father got for me when we lived in Bolivia. It is intricately carved with several different scenes. One day I would love to find out the meaning behind it.

It's particularly meaningful to me because my father bought it for me when I was just two and saved it for me until I was 30.

I use to have a silver chain with a dragon on it....

that's the only thing i ever liked wearing lost it though.

It is gorgeous! What kind of metal is that, do you know?

this is mine.. i wear it all the time.. even in the shower. a friend gave it to me in high school. she was my best friend, and then not too much after she gave it to me, she disappeared completely and i havent seen her since. i keep it now as a reminder of the relationship we had, and will have if we ever find each other again

Lucky girl to have a father like that!

Sounds beautiful. Do you have a pic of it you can share?

The Pendant is Copper and Silver. The part that is silver is sterling. I've had it for several months, and I rarely take it off. I really don't know why, but it's comfortable for me to wear it. it doesn't feel too heavy, or too delicate, and it looks great with alot of different styles.

I just recently got engaged, so my ring is my favorite piece of jewelry. It is very special, because my fiance picked it out himself, with no input from me. He had it reset with a setting he knew I liked, and he even got the size right!

It means a lot to me, especially right now, since he is somewhere in this world fighting this war. It is my little bond with him, and I know he'll be home to honor the question that came with the ring!

I have a platinum band, diamond ring that I wear on special occasions. It is sentimental because it was my Grandmother's wedding ring......my Grandfather gave it to me when she passed away. They had been married 53 years.

My favorite piece of Jewelry

A Gorgeous Moonstone and Silver pendant that my Crystal Hunting made for me... I rarely take it off... :)

I don't but maybe I'll try to take one tonight. I'll post it if I do. I'm afraid that capturing the details will be difficult in a photo though.

I have a large emerald-cut ruby ring that I love. It's simple, but elegant. I've gotten many compliments on it.

It also has sentimantal value. I had a ring like it when I was a teenager- it was my first piece of "grown-up" jewelry. The band was very thin and broke, and I somehow lost the ring. My sister bought me the one I have now because she knew how much I loved the first one.

Here it is. As I thought - the details are lost. ~sigh~

You can still tell that it is a gorgeous piece.

Thanks for sharing it:)

grandmother's earrings

My grandmother had a stockpile of loose rubies (I don't know why) and when I was 16 she had them all set. She gave rings to all her daughters and earrings to all her grand daughters. It means a lot to me that she kept these beautiful stones for years, and then decided to incorporate them into jewelry and give them to all her female descendants. Everytime I see them it makes me feel a strong bond to my family.

My favorite piece of jewelry is an opal (my birthstone) ring my daughter gave me on my 40th birthday. She gave me earrings to match the following year.

The piece I love the most I really haven't gotten yet...I've recently gotten engaged and my SO made our wedding rings...made them from a 1917 silver 50cent piece...it's absolutly perfect!!! I can't wait to wear it!!! And it makes it all the better because he took the time to make it to fit me perfectly :)

It seems like the most favorite pieces are the sentimental ones. Not necessarily the most expensive.

Jewelry is such a personal item. When someone gives me a piece, I feel like they giving me something extra special.
