Some of my faves are of course Bach, Beethoven and Mozart, but I also love Vivaldi, Chopin, and Mendelssohn.

What are your faves?

I like Bach and Beetoven, but I had to vote for Chopin. I even visited his home in Poland and I have attended concerts in his honor in Warsaw and it mesmerizes me. Such beauty came from that frail man!

I won't presume to know classical music...

But I do like the 1812 Overture...quite the CLIMAX...

And Ravel's Bolero.....Building to a climax......

I'm not repulsed by any classical music, but it's not something I actively seek...

No favorites; I like it all depending on my mood. In the mornings if I'm listening to classical I like a little Bach or Stravinsky. Although I probably listen to Beethoven's fifth far more often than any other piece of classical, as I use it on the bike at the gym at the end of my workout - I have designed a variable program that corresponds to the intensity of the music and I just love it, never get sick of it. And I like Ravel's 'Bolero' on the bus - makes me feel like I'm in some sort of grand procession, instead of packed like a sardine chugging my way up Camden High Street.

ludwig van ... but mostly because of one film :) which you can probably guess

Rolling on the floor laughing my ass off!

No Hanns, you obviously don't pretend to like music just to impress; you instead pretend to be an international sniper who uses a .50 BMG rifle to kill people, or you pretend to be a "computer expert", or you pretend to be rich - all just to impress. Unfortunately for you, you pretend extremely poorly. Sheesh! If anybody on Lit. has no room to accuse someone of saying something to impress people - it is you! What an idiot!

However, you do a very good job of showing your true colors; you're a bigot, a liar, and just plain all around asshole - probably the biggest one on Lit. - I can't tell for sure because I don't know how many of the other asshole trolls are really you or maybe someone else, but since many of them probably are you in a different guise, I think collectively you are the biggest asshole on Lit.

I'm a Vilvaldi fan too.

Beethoven was my first favorite, and the duckling is entranced by him too.

If we're talking modern day classics, Billy Joel has written some incredible classical pieces that I really appreciate. It's quite a switch seeing him work in this genre. His passion for music is very apparent.
