My last (first) story was rejected, and the reason was why was there an underage (younger than 18) relationship in your story?

I made sure that when I wrote the story that I did not mention any ages. I did however say that one of the girls is young. Maybe this is some "unspoken rule" or something where if you say young it automatically means under 18, and if so I will be happy to be more specific from now on. I just want to be sure thats why, and not that the editors made an assumption that just because the girl was classified as "young" and lives with her mother (the girl I wrote this about/for is actually 18 and taking a year off before going to college) that she was under 18. Thank you for any input or help everyone.

I can easily see how a character described as young and living with parent(s) could be assumed as possibly underage. It's easily remedied with an author's note at the beginning of the story stating all characters are 18 and over.

Laurel is VERY careful about any possibility that there is an appareance that a character younger than 18 is involved in sexual activity. The concern is necessary if Literotica is to continue operating. There are those who would like to shut down operations like Literotica and uner 18 sex is one of the things they will try to use. It may seem a bit fussy, but then the people who would like to shut down Literotica are more than a bit fussy.

I had the exact sameproblem recently and it was remedied by a disclaimer at the beginning stating something along the line of 'all characters mentioned in this story are of or above the legal age to partake of sexual relations' or whatever.

This should covers everybodies' arses :)

I'll test this idea, V. I have a story in mind of 5th graders getting it on in the playground after school... They are, of course, 18 or older :D :D

If that flies let me know, I've got a couple of true stories from my own childhood..... ;) :D

Not that unusual to have 18 year old Fifth Graders in <insert State/Nation you want to insult>.

Actually ... there are a number of words that you cannot use in online stories or even on porn sites, most recently. Google has CLAMPED DOWN! Young - girl - cheerleader and twink are amongst the plethora of words that you cannot use. Try replacing young with nubile. :)

Yes. If you now have the word "young" as a keyword in a pornographic site, Google will remove your site from the search results.
