You people are very intimidating

Her sigline is as nothing compared to TheEarl's earlier ones or some of those on the General Board.
Dear Og,
You don't really need to see those sig lines, you know. I disabled them months ago when Earl's got to be more than a page and never put them back.

At least you don't HAVE one either, Math.

People who suffer elephantiasis of the sig line, and then shut it off on their own computer are like people who vote their province dry, then move to another province.

Thanks for your feedback everyone... I guess my one little story is OK for now!

I am feeling more comfortable here every day... *sniff* ... you guys are super.

Oh, good. We usually try to induce that attitude in a newcomer.

Perhaps this is heresy, but, I never thought this place was all that intimidating.

It has always reminded me of recess time at kindergarten.

All these unbridled egos, all the bickering over nearly nothing.

All that "Look what I did! Look at ME!"

Kindergarten without the teacher. :(

Exactly. ;)

Oh, yes! I include myself in that description, naturally.

You weren't intimidated in kindergarten? I'm still not over that.

Kids who could paint recognizable pictures using the flat of their hand. Kids who could close their eyes at nap time and not see the ceiling shake and lose particles when a plane flew overhead, kids who never saw the paddle sitting in the teacher's desk, or the package of pink underwear next to it, or the way she sat there with her head tilted back, moving her arms up and down, harder and harder, like she was strangling something. So much effort showed in her face, I was sure when she had finally killed the poor creature, because of the evil smile that crossed her face, until she opened her eyes and looked at me.

I may never get over it.

Thank you. I'll take all the hugs I can get - especially from pretty women. :)

(Who are still going to Brazil?)

Bright and early Monday morning = ) My visa should be arriving any moment. (it came yesterday but i was sleeping and I ran to the door in time to see the fedex guy drive off so now i'm waiting for him to come back)

Give them a call and make sure it's on the truck. If they miss for some reason, you can go down to the center and pick it up, so make sure you get the address of the center the truck runs out of.

They said I can pick it up after 5pm but I work from 230 - 11 so I'd miss it...i signed the little thing on my door so they can leave it here when the come by. good call about calling about it, though...i'll do that. thanks.

MG: I'd like to point out that my sig line was never a page long. The longest one I've ever done was the Talkie Toaster one.

The Earl

Earl, would that have been Craig Charles' entire bread-products speech from Red Dwarf?

His veeeery long, but extremely funny speech. Holly had quite a bit to say on the subject, too. :D

I lurve the Dwarf crew.

Loulou :rose:

Y'know, allegedly, if you get to the end of the credits and turn the contrast right up and the brightness right down on your TV, you can see that the engine glow is actually a 100 watt Woolworth's lightbulb.

Allegedly.

Yep, it's true. :D

Red Dwarf just wouldn't have been Red Dwarf without the cheap props. I love the out-takes; when they show Starbug suspended on the end of a bit of string, attempting to launch from Red Dwarf, but crashing spectacularly nine times out of ten.

Loulou, a Dwarf fanatic. :D

Dear Earl,
I do remember that it took up a major part of the screen. I'm grateful you did that, though. It gave me the impetus to find out how to turn them off altogether.

"I feel I must warn you sir, if you go to red alert it will mean changing the bulb"

Gauche

Approximately. I know python much better than dwarf.
