you can't "do" them anymore...

Like the major one for me right now is just drinking from a cup...or biting a banana...or kissing my kids...

I have the biggest, most painful canker sore I have ever had just on the inside of my lower lip...the only good thing about it is that my lower lip is so swollen, it is bigger than Goldie Hawn's!

I guess it is a good thing that I don't have a date for tonight...I don't think anyone would take very kindly to just shaking hands, eh?

Seriously though...you never realize how much you need something until you can't use it. Ever hurt your back/neck/arm/leg???

See what happens! I told you to stay away from those kinda guys!

Yep, got a pretty good idea about needing something I can't have!

Kinda makes you look like Kenny's mom on South Park, Mia....

Yep, never chase your SO around trying to pinch him/her on the ass because you may stumble over a childs toy and break your ankle...walking, etc... and trying to keep up with 2 small children is not so easy to do on cruches! :D

I broke my neck (no, really I did) and having a paralysed left arm for 6 months shows you a thing or two. I've also broken a foot, that's a bugger too. but by far the worst was a detached retina that required me to wear a piratical eye patch. Binocular vision is NOT to be underestimated when trying to do simple things such as pick things up... or walk!

Are those cankers or herpes?

Believe it or not...it is the same virus...herpes simplex I.

But actual herpes spawns more of them...I just get cankers from somone bumping my lips or biting them...I have always gotten them...and NO, they are not passed on during oral...lol

I've had various parts of me in casts and tensor bandages many times... been in 3 car accidents...

I completely understand not being able to use something, and then realizing how dependent on it you were... it sucks.

A few years ago when I broke my right arm, one of the toughest adjustments for me was wiping my butt left handed. It just didn"t feel natural.

(Sorry not a pretty visual but relevant I think)

Damn near sliced off my thumb a while back. You never realize how much you use your thumb until it is wrapped in several feet of gauze.
