my day when down hill fast.

1. i almost got hit by a fool running a red light doing fifty.

2. my truck died when the light turned green and i got a cussing.

3. i punched in at work ten seconds late the second day in a row.

4. my computor at work screwed up as soon as i turned it on. found some bad sectors on disk one. mouse what mouse?

5. my mother called and said to disregard the rumors of my brother getting killed this morning it wasn'st him.

6. the help desk said that so many computers had hard drives out right now it might be a few days, and they did not know what to do about mine anyway if i could think of anything to try than try it.

8. then eight o'clock arrived and it was time for my every six month job reveiw/ass chewing.

some days a person is better off staying in bed!

I had a day similar to that a while back. I got off work, tired, just wanted to go home. Got in my truck, the battery was dead, I had left my fog lights on. Went down to security to get them to jump me off. We got back to my truck and I had locked the keys in there, so we went back to the office called a locksmith, he took me back to my truck when I remembered I had an extra key in my purse. Went back to his office, called and cancelled the locksmith, went back to the truck, he jumped it off. I left, frustrated, embarrassed, and heard the lights behind me. I was going 80 in a 55 and when he came up to the window, I burst into tears, started blubbering about my morning, he let me go. Started up my mountain, hit a dog, got out of my truck and went to the owner of the dog, and he yelled at me for killing his dog. (He later apologized) Got back in my truck, pulled into my driveway and sat there. Went into the house and had a drink. Made me feel better anyway. So have a drink on me, if you drink that is.

Sorry Adoratrice. I recently lost a good friend of mine. Not to cancer, but to a Motorcycle accident. My thoughts are with you.

:(

Thank you...I'm sorry about your friend...I know how shocking sudden death can be.......I think I am still in shock.......she had a spot on her arm removed.... it looks like someone took a bite out of her arm.....she has to go back next friday for lymph node disection.

Sorry I don't usually bring my burdens here but I had to "say" it outloud...you know.....

Thanks. Yes Adoratrice, I do know you had to say it out loud. My friend was brought into our unit, and the family requested that I take care of her. I wasn't sure about doing it, had mixed feelings about it. But in the end, I'm glad I did. I played her favorite music to her, sat and talked to her about good times. Washed her hair and braided it for her. Just little things, but moments I will always treasure. She held on for about a month, I was with her when she died. She never opened her eyes, remained on the vent the whole time. Even with being there, it was hard for me to believe I would never talk with her again, never hear her laugh, never get to tell her I loved her again and how much her friendship meant to me. I will miss her every day for the rest of my life. Hugs to you.
