It really is. A few minutes ago, just before I came to the forum, I stopped and looked at my index to see if any of my new stories had posted, and to look for new PC. :cool:I didn't find anyhing new, but I looked over my long list of stories, and smiled about how much I had enjoyed writing them. I looked at some old PC and felt really good at how a good many readers, some anon and some named, said how much they liked reading my smut, and how they got off on it. It was even fun to read some of the negative comments, especially the one where somebody who had read an incest story called me a pervert for writing it. At least she (I think it was a woman) didn't call me a "prevert".

Anyhow, I am definitely going to continue writing dirty stories, because it's fun. :D

I share your elation, Box. I'm sure we all do the self-congratulatory pat on the back now and then, looking through our lists of stories, reading PCs that made us smile or laugh.

The ones that always make me feel good are the PCs that refute a previous negative one. It's like being at a party, someone makes a nasty comment about your clothes or hair, and then everyone else says how much they like your style. ;)

I worry that I miss PCs.

I have so many stories posted here as Og and as Jeanne that I don't always notice when the PC number increases.

It is enjoyable when I find a new PC on an old story even if it's negative.

It is. My newest submission was embarrassingly fun to write. Jane Fonda naughty word fun. And I liked the one or two comments.

Me too. Doesn't happen too often, but sometimes someone will read an older story and comment. I appreciate it.

I loved writing when I had the ability to actually write. I also loved receiving new public and private comments. It was a real joy on all fronts, except the wait for a story to submit. But that wasn't so bad when it was over and the votes and comments started pouring in.

I agree with Boxlicker's sentiments. I was going to stop at 200 stories and then, when that didn't stop me, at the end of the year. I have so much editing work and a deadline on my next mainline mystery, and I thought I just didn't have any more ideas. But today, with 254 already posted, I looked at my list. Three in submission and then on my chart--eleven more done but waiting to be submitted in a delay that won't bunch them up. Ten unposted ones that have been written fresh in the last two weeks, some that I just can't wait to try out on readers, which I think cover entirely new ground. The one posted today receiving very nice attention, including my faithful one-zapper. Life is good. Maybe 300 is a better place to stop.

Perodically, I check for new PC, as I did earlier today. I like getting them, and even negative ones can be amusing and/or instructive. I have so many stories, also, that can't possibly remember how many PC each of them has, so I check whenever I think there might be a new one. :D

And then 400, 500 . . . .

Writing is an addiction.

But a good one.

I do too. With so many stories, it's impossible for me to detect when an old story has a new comment. I wish there were some sort of highlighting or notification system for new PCs arriving. I don't get all that many PCs.

Email notification would be nice.

We could suggest it to Manu.

Somebody could, of course. I don't see that a lot of bells and whistles are going to be added, though--both the review and VE programs seem to have collapsed, and there have been scads of suggestions on tweaking the contest process. I think trying to get stories up in a timely fashion has (understandably) pretty much swamped the administrators.

Also, this would work fine with me. Not that many PCs being added. For someone like DK or Scouries, though, it would swamp their systems. Hmmmmm.

Probably. But from a programmer's point of view (which I am not), it seems to be a pretty simple adjustment. We already receive notification whenever there's a new PM, after all.

Lol. Well, naturally, there would be the option of turning email notification off.

Must be the time for checking PCs. I did it last night and came across three or four I hadn't noticed before.
I tend to only pay attention to a story the first couple of weeks it's up.
