. . . It's not even 11 am on Monday morning and your jaw aches from your teeth being clenched, your shoulders are complaining at the amount of tension, and your friend asks you why your upper lip is twitching. Good Gods, I might be able to cope with the holidays, but can we stop the normal stress loads first?!?

(Sorry, I'm just ready to tear my hair out and scream)

I totally understand. I have felt that way since last week. Then on friday went and had a vasectomy. so this week really sucks....

You know it's going to be a bad week...

When your sinuses have swelled your eyes and you cannot find your eyeglasses (so instead you're wearing an old pair with a rubber band around it to keep in the lens);

When you're tripping over a pile of deposit returnable soda bottles that you haven't returned yet (because you can't see where you're going!);

When there are absolutely no job postings from three search engines and your rent needs to be paid (and you don't have THAT many bottles to return!);

When it's only 2PM in the afternoon, and you're ready to say "goodnight".:(

But it's only Monday; things will be better tomorrow, right?:confused:

Without trying to sound like Mary Sunshine....yes, things will be better tomorrow. For one thing....it won't be Monday anymore. lol

A good message does sound fabulous, though. I've never had one, so maybe now is an excellent time to think about it.

Please keep your chin up, Jenny, and something good will happen for you.

Acalifguy_4u,

All I can say is "OUCH!" I hope you're feeling better now.

LadyDarkFire and Cassidy,

Excedrin, here we come. My son just happens to be home all week with me because he had hernia surgery on Friday. He's doing fine, but I think I need help. lol

Hugs to all,
Enchanted

Thanks all, it's just a stress overload. There are problems with my ex, my friends, my family, and the Holday plans, and for some reason, it's assumed that I'm the one to solve every single problem. Of Course, this means that every problem should have top priority. Problem is, my top priority right now is FINALS which are next week.

other signs:

You have to sit down to brush your teeth in the morning.

You get to work and find a "60 Minutes" news team waiting in your office.

The health department condemns your coffee maker.

Your twin sister forgets your birthday.

Your 4-year-old tells you that it's almost impossible to flush a grapefruit down the toilet.

You wake up to the soothing sound of running water...and remember that you just bought a waterbed.

The bird singing outside your window is a vulture.

Airline food starts to taste good.

Your mother approves of the person you are dating.

Everyone loves your driver's license picture.

You realize that the phone number on the bathroom wall of the bar is yours.

LukkyKnight,

That did make me laugh. I especially liked: Your 4-year-old tells you that it's almost impossible to flush a grapefruit down the toilet.

Been there, done that.....except it was with a stuffed animal that belonged to my nephew. My son thought that the toilet was almost like one of those time/warp machines that you see on Star Trek. He thought if you flushed something down it, it would eventually wind up at another location - that being your cousin's house. LOL

Well, it wasn't funny at that particular moment, but it has brought many laughs to us now, especially when we can tell it around him and he gets so red in the face. LOL

One tries, Enchanted.

Laughter and smiles are among life's precious gifts. Wish I could take the credit for those signs, but they are not original with me. I think I've learned more in 8 years of parenting than I did in the... um... untold years leading up to that point.

Guess what?

There'll be a new woman shortly. Speaking of which, I know it's going to be a bad week with three newbies think I'm beautiful and want to cyber. ;)

I'm sorry you guys. This is a tough week, huh? :(

I have to admit, though. I'm glad I'm not alone.

Sending out warm, tight hugs to you all!

You know...

...it's going to be a bad week when 38 people start threads saying I'm leaving and not even the worst, most-melodramatic of them have the common courtesy to follow through on their promises.

Update...

Wednesday was a bit better, but sad to say things have plummented straight down today.:(

Tomorrow's Friday, then a weekend. Let's hope we all enjoy it, and fingers crossed for a much better week ahead.
