Old Navy commercials saturate the damn TV

Was watching one last night where the tall dancing chick says "Guys, you gotta get this look" Then it clicked to a bunch of greasy haired homeless looking guys. They looked homeless because they were wearing jackets and jeans that appeared to have come from the local Goodwill or Salvation Army. These looked worse than the construction vests they were selling 2 years ago.

Fashionable clothes, gauging by what I've seen on TV and in the stores, have not been attractive for well over a decade. The colors are ugly and the styles are bizzare and horrific. It's funny though, when I substituted in high school last year, most kids just wore the same types of clothes we wore in high school.

I think all those clothes they advertise are hideous. They all look the same and so unappealing. All the stores like that ie.. the Gap, Old Navy...etc.. their clothes remind me of some sort of uniform. The models they use are all anorexic looking and the guys look like 70's wanna be porn stars... but that is just my opinion... Don't get me wrong I love jeans and tshirts, that makes up a huge portion of my wardrobe, but that stuff just looks crappy.

The problem is...

that we're all talking about those crappy ads, so that's a big bullseye for them. I learned long ago when I worked one summer in consumer research that it's product ID that counts, not popularity. I noticed those ads immediately, so they're very successful. Idiots will buy, in droves. Beware....
