You Fucker!

The scores they give you in the comments don't count toward your ratings, scheherazade...just the votes on the voting meter. You're fine unless he hit you with a two or a three. Smile, it pisses them off. :D

Unless they didn't vote, only commented. Whichever comes first counts, and if it is only a vote or only a comment those are what reflects on the score.

Can't forget that, we just cleared it up a few days ago :)

I hate to tell you this, but you're wrong. That little slide rule thingie doesn't count on the score at all.

U sure? Because that's what I've heard from numerous ppl ever since the public comments feature and thermometer thingy first appeared on the site.

I'm going to say this VERY carefully, because I am loathe to disagree with you about anything (you know way more about this place than I do), but I started a thread a couple of weeks ago about this and several people found specific FAQs in Literotica to confirm that whichever vote comes first, does indeed count. An author even had proof in his own story to back it up. No one has reached any authorities on Lit to confirm this, but I hope they can. It would be nice to know for sure.

I have several posters who intentionally leave comments after each chapter (if the story was interesting enough), then go back and vote after they've read the whole story, so they get the full picture. I even had one apologize to me because he found a place somewhere in Lit that explains this and realized he had accidentally given me 50% on all three chapters instead of the '5' scores he felt the story earned.

Since there is such strong disagreement between the people who understand the rules best, I'm hoping someone can eventually get one indisputable answer, so everyone is going by the same rules (although it would be nice to think that the trolls who give me 00% in the comments don't get their vote counted).

Sorry for the threadjack. Please resume.

I'm not going to argue about anything, I could be wrong but last time this discussion was brought up it was decided that thermometer thingie had nothing to do with the scoring. We now return to your previously scheduled rant.
