Romney: Obama ‘Went From the President of Change to the President Who Can’t Get Change’

In a campaign event today, Mitt Romney highlighted Barack Obama’s comment earlier today that he had learned he “can’t change Washington from the inside.”

“The president today threw in the white flag of surrender again,” Romney said. “He said he can’t change Washington from the inside. He can only change it from outside. Well, we’re going to give him that chance in November. He’s going outside.

“I can change Washington, I will change Washington,” he continued. “We’ll got the job done from the inside. Republicans and Democrats will come together. He can’t do it. His slogan was ‘yes we can.’ His slogan now is no I can’t.”

”He went,” Romney added, “from the president of change to the president who can’t get change.”

Noting that Obama had had Democratic majorities in the House and Senate when he started, Romney said, “He got to do whatever the heck he wanted to. But he says he can’t change it from the inside. Well, I will.”

VOTE FOR THE WHITE HISPANIC, Romney:)

Someone needs to ask obama this each and everyday

The problem is, is that the way Bush has done it over the last eight years is to take out a credit card from the Bank of China in the name of our children, driving up our national debt from $5 trillion for the first 42 presidents – #43 added $4 trillion by his lonesome, so that we now have over $9 trillion of debt that we are going to have to pay back — $30,000 for every man, woman and child. That’s irresponsible. It’s unpatriotic. (Senator) Obama

All you can do is EMP it and reopen it as a monument to failure and museum of national theft...

The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.
Senator Barack Hussein Obama, 2006

"That's not part of his power, but this is part of the whole theory of George Bush that he can make laws as he goes along. I disagree with that. I taught the Constitution for 10 years. I believe in the Constitution and I will obey the Constitution of the United States. We're not going to use signing statements as a way of doing an end-run around Congress...,"
Senator Barack Hussein Obama, 2008

We had reversed the recession, avoided a depression, got the economy movin' again, created two million private sector jobs over the last 17 months, but over the last six months we've had a run of bad luck, some things that we could not control.

“I believe in American exceptionalism, just as I suspect that the Brits believe in British exceptionalism and the Greeks believe in Greek exceptionalism.”
