…they offer you a blank cheque to turn any of your stories here into a film.

Which of your stories would you choose and which actors and director would you hire for the job?

And because we’re living in the world of make-believe, let’s say you can choose any actors, alive or dead. Same with the director.

Bunuel directs Rick Moranis and Marlene Dietrich in my I/T story ‘….’

You get the picture.

A detective story, Detective's Secret

I remember reading something -- not sure here or somewhere else -- about a guy who knew his co-worker wrote erotica (pretty sure it was erotica). People in the office knew it. So they played a joke on him by creating a fake email address as a publisher or film studio, saying they were interested in his work, and sending it to him. Not sure what happened there, I think the person mentioned that the target was suspcious of it or something.

For my Erotic Horror story, The Witches of Eldritch Hollow, I would choose M. Night Shyamalan as director. For the MMC I would use a time machine and pick up a young Matt Damon. Then zip on over for the two FMC's, where I would choose a young Kate Winslet and a young Kat Dennings.

Lafayette Hills, no question, with Mike Flanagan directing and actors from his stable of frequent collaborators. Kate Siegel for Mrs. Longley and a complete unknown for Mary.

While There Is Hope is probably my most filmic story.

Director: David Fincher

Esperanza ‘Hope’ Molinera - Michelle Rodriguez

Bill Kowalski - John Krasinski

Ashely - Samara Weaving

Lots of other characters, but those are the main ones

Interesting concept...

I only have the one story on here so far. I've written other unpublished (and by my standards very bad) erotic scenes before. Some of those may eventually become stories. For my leading lady, I always have a very specific contemporary or near-contemporary porn star as a model, with galleries I can access as I write so that my physical descriptions are either in the ballpark or at least close to accurate.

I choose a porn star because she has chosen to publish nude pictures and/or videos of herself in erotic encounters (and been paid for them). Thus written fantasies of her nude and depicted in erotic encounters are not invasions of privacy against someone that never wished to be fantasized about in that way.

For my leading man... well, it's always a fantasy about being with that porn star (or a character from one of her films) if she were not on set and we happened to meet, isn't it? So my leading man is always an idealized version of myself.

In this case, Bella is porn star Alicia Williams, and for the film I would let her choose which male porn star she would want to play Brandon.

Devil's Dance Floor. But with some changes and lengthening.

There's something enticing about filming a ballroom scene in hell, where everyone could appear human except for in the reflection of the obsidian floor.

It would essentially start in complete silence other than the music, Demon prince chooses his dance partner right away. They waltz and the camera follows them around the dance floor. Others waltz around them, some dances look less consensual than others, but they are background, the focus is on this couple. Then it cuts to her history. Learning to dance for her wedding, back to the waltz, the movements sensual and the partners are locked in a hungry embrace as they move around the shiny black floor. More background elements of people arriving and being taken to dance with others. Another flash to her wedding, finding her husband assaulting a servant, killing him. Setting a plan with the servant to get away with the murder, a loving touch between servant and Countess, then back to the dance floor. Etc etc. all the while, the demonic nature of the dance partners can be seen reflected in the floor if you watch closely enough.

Countess - Jenna Coleman
Prince of hell - Lee Pace
Servant/companion to the Countess - Amanda Seyfried
Lucifer - Viggo Mortensen (because I need that to happen again.)
Husband of the countess - Chris Pine

I forgot the director: Darren Lynn Bousman

Music by Trent Reznor

Ashes To Ashlynn.

My main 5 characters would be played by:
Ashlynn-Alexandra Daddario
Simon-Tim Roth
Owen-Clive Owen
Alexis-Jennifer Beals
Zoe-Gemma Arterton

Not sure who I would want to direct it though. I'm too picky and this book is my baby. ❤️

Since I'm only choosing erotic stories, I guess I'd go with The Making Of Widow's Journey, but I'd probably come up with a better title.

The story is about a big-time dominating female entertainer who sexily humiliates and edges her movie-set co-star.

For the director, I'd go with Chuck Vincent, a competent and creative porn director, who branched out into low-budget, grade z, raunchy 80's sex comedies; Chuck was putting hot CFNM scenes into his movies before CFNM was even a thing.

For the female movie star, I guess I'd go with the actress she was based on, mid-70's Barbara Streisand, who seemed pretty kinky during this era.

Of course, around this time she was engaged to future annoying film mogul, Jon Peters (who co-produced Caddyshack), who might get in the way, but with an unlimited budget, I think I could get him to work with/for me in getting Barbara's cooperation in getting the movie done.

Speaking of the unlimited budget, I think I would try to talk the studio into making ALL of my erotic stories into movies, making the point that the gross budget for all of them probably wouldn't go past $50 million.

Huh... I never thought about this for one of the things I published here... Maybe if I had finished it, I'd pick The Woman at the Speakeasy (out of the ones I have here).

Julianne Moore as Red.

Directed by Nicolas Winding Refn. That man is pretty much the only director who does modern noir (aka neon-noir) without turning it into neo-noir.

I'd probably go for "on a wing and a prayer", because it's the only one of mine that would need a budget: the rest of my stories could be filmed by grad students on smartphones and probably look pretty good.

Director: Jane Campion

Ruth - a twenty four year old Marisa Tomei

Martha - a twenty two year old Naomi Watts

Thomas - John Goodman

A Cold Dish. This might seem an odd choice for a movie-length production, given that it's a 750-worder, but there's quite a bit of story packed in there.

I'd put production in the hands of the team in charge of "Andor". In fact, I'd also cast Stellan Skarsgard as De Gaviscon. Maybe Nicholas Hoult as Labec.

Interesting question. I think I would pick Hotel Exhibitionist (the 4th and final chapter of which is in progress but not yet done). It's the story of a 40-something pharmaceutical rep who attends a convention at a resort hotel and plays daring exhibitionist games at the direction of her husband via texted instructions.

Director: Pedro Almodovar. He's made a lot of films that deal with female sexuality in playful, fun ways.

Actress and lead: Marisa Tomei from her early to mid-40s. Just the right look and demeanor, and she would add a desirable comic tone to the part. She's got to pull off doing crazy things with a convincing "I can't believe I'm doing this" air.

Supporting actor: Christian Bale as the mystery man (I'm not going to reveal the character's name because the story's not done). He's got the right mix of good looks, intensity, and a suggestion of weird kinkiness.

Actor: Michael Fassbender as the husband.

Supporting Actress: Rachel McAdams when she was about 35, playing Kymberly's obnoxious, business-seeking adversary Kristin, who is trying to expose Kymberly and snatch her clients. Her role would involve a reprise of some of the elements of Regina from Mean Girls.

I think Smoking Hot would need to be a miniseries at least.

Meaningless Kisses would work as a film, with classy moody cinematography (like Brief Encounter, possibly b/w), despite the fact it's mostly set in a queer women's sauna night. Juliette Binoche and Kate McGowan could star, Judi Dench age 50 could be one of the snarky women in the jacuzzi, maybe Kristin Scott Thomas as her partner, add some British actresses including Daniela Nardini, and Susan Calman, Skin, Rhona Cameron and Donna McPhail in the background. Almost no costume budget needed given no clothes are allowed in the spa...

The main pair meet, spend an unexpectedly interesting night together, then part at a railway station in the morning. It's got 'film classic' written all over it!

You Only Love Twice could be turned into a movie, you'd have to expand a few things because it's only 27k words.

Josh O'Connor would be Brad

Saoirse Ronan would be Megan

Jenna Ortega would play Brad's wife in the flashback.

Not sure on the director.
Mark Knopfler would do the soundtrack.

I’m not going to do a whole second story with cast, but a while back @Djmac1031 and I were goofing around (big news, right?) and talking about who might play some of our Angels & Demons characters - and we kinda agreed that Emma Stone would work to play both my she-demon Emma and and angel Lily (who are identical, but not related - long story!) and his Sister / Angel Emily (whose physical attributes Emma and Lily share).

She’s naturally light blonde (yes really) she has freckles, she has a round face, big eyes, and can carry off mischievous. It’s a bonus that her real name is Emily of course.

She’s too tall at 5’6” and her eyes are green rather than blue-gray, but they can fix that.

I always liked the idea of my House of Doors, the excruciating paradox of infinite lust, on the big screen.

Setting, outskirts of Buenos Aires, maybe even in black and white. Gosh, Viggo Mortensen would be a marvelous MC. Director: Buñuel? Truffaut? Hitchcock? Even Rod Serling.

Supporting actresses would be enchanting, and ruinously expensive: Uma Thurman, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Kate Winslet, Andie MacDowell, a ludicrously young Madonna (when she still had unshaven armpits), etc.
