YOUNG JUSTICE BOOK ONE: call to arms
CHAPTER ONE
Our HEROES RISE

Gotham city’s lights pulsed beneath the Wayne tower over looking the city. The cool autumn night had already slipped over the city quickly and the city that never truly calmed down began to sound out the sound of crime and injustice. On the top of Wayne tower a boy and his father sat and watched there city. The side kick known as Robin watched his adopted farther nervously his hands twitching. The Dark Night watched the city for a few more minutes then rose his black cape shimmering in the starry sky. Dick Grayson other wise known as Robin watched his mentor with barley contained awe and fear while as always Batman Stayed quite, Dick sighed mentally in his head as his father still remained deadly quite. He loved his adopted father Bruce as if he was his real farther and admired the man and all he stood for, Ever since he had discovered Bruce Wayne’s secret and begged to be robin he had fought with blood and sweat for the chance to be a part of the family and the happiest day of his life had been when he was officially adopted in the Wayne family and unofficially into the “bat” family but his father’s silence after almost five years of partnership and crime fighting still always left him with the feeling that he was nothing but a ploy and not a soldier in his father’s all consuming war on crime.

“I’m sorry” batman said finally breaking Dick out of his awe. He frowned for a moment wondering if he heard correctly after all his father almost never talked and sure as hell didn’t admit he was at fault. He rose to his black and red body suit and yellow cape rippling in the breeze.

“Excuse me sir?” Dick said hesitantly struggling to fill in the awkward silence. “You heard me” Bruce said turning to face him his mouth set in an impatient line (like always) “I was saying I’m sorry I’ve been so… busy lately that you’ve been picking up patrol by your self it hasn’t been very fair to you”

Dick snorted to him self as he thought of Bruce’s “business” the lovely and powerful wonder woman A.K.A Diana. They had finally opened up to each other and Bruce had revealed his secret identity the super hero couple were steadily dating and had spent all there spare time together when not saving the world. Dick loved that his father was finally getting the happiness he so rightly deserved and the few times he had met the Amazonian warrior she had taken to him fast and even called him her son then teased Bruce mercifully the whole time earning Dick’s instant adoration.

“Listen dad” Dick said grinning for the first time and letting his clam façade slip “I’m glad you’re with some one you truly have fun with plus I don’t mind taking some time by my self it gave me time to set up some of my own contacts in the city”

In truth there was more to it than that to Dick. Dick was 18 now and Since his father was starting to distant him self from crime fighting to spend time with Diana and he had also been a side kick for three years he had begun to think maybe it was time for him to strike out on his own like Dick had done so many years ago. While his father had been “busy” he had stopped the Falconi’s latest drug run, foiled the Riddlers latest scheme, and also teamed up with Cat-Woman to stop Solomon Grundy. The more and more Tim did by himself he realized that he may be ready to strike out on his own.

He remembered the titans brief run and smiled wondering what his old friends were doing. He hadn’t heard form them in a while not since the funeral. Dick sighed pushing the unhappy thoughts from his mind.

“It won’t happen again come on we have work to do” batman said taking Robin away from his thoughts. The dark knight got up and turned with out a word. Dick felt the stone wall forming between them and with a sigh got up with his father

“We’ll start with joker’s old haunts I-” batman was suddenly cut off as a giant white light flared up across the sky blinding the dynamic duo. Robin closed his eyes against the blinding light and stumbled back.

When he recovered batman was gone….

In metropolis a blond teenager rapidly blinked the light out of her eyes and careened to avoid the building she almost flew into. Kara Zor-El A.K.A super girl turned to see if her cousin was able to pull out fast enough to avoid the building. But the man of steel known as super man was gone…

In the Amazon forest Cassandra Cassie Sandsmark adjusted her sword and panted from the combat training she was going through. She blinked away the light that had appeared in the sky mere seconds ago and turned to ask her mentor what it could possibly mean but wonder woman was gone…

In central city a young boy skidded to a stop from running at speeds that would make race car driver jealous Wally West A.K.A Kid flash blinked his eyes away from the light and slid to the ground in an attempt to make sure he didn’t crash into any thing. He looked for his team mate to see if he had crashed into any thing but flash was gone…

And in orbit millions of ships suddenly appeared moving torwards the surface fast.

Metropolis

Kara Zor-El gaped for a moment. He was gone! Her cousin, the only person she knew at all on this rock, disappeared! And she'd promised to look out for him! Okay, that had been when he was a baby instead of a grown man, but still!

"Kal, can you hear me?" Maybe there was just a disaster or something and he'd zoomed off to take care of it. He was faster than her, after all, and knew his way around Earth. But wherever he was, he should be able to hear her.

Kara flew up to the top of the large globe atop the towering Daily Planet building and landed atop it. She was young, her 18th birthday just last week, with skin that was a healthy pale creamy color, fine and delicate features, naturally pink lips, and bright blue eyes. Her hair was a wealth of golden blond locks that almost gleamed in the sunlight, currently tucked back into the hood of the garment she wore. Kal called it a "hoodie," it was blue, the sleeves darkening and shifting colors to become red where they ended; it was partly unzipped and showed a high, pert set of luscious tits, not large but certainly not small, that strained against a low cut t-shirt underneath, offering a nice slice of cleavage. She wore a pair of shorts that covered maybe an inch of her thighs, her long, shapely legs exposed until it came to a pair of simple canvas sneakers her cousin had bought her.

He'd bought her all her clothes. Everything she had was because of him, and his foster family. She'd only been on this strange, backward planet for two weeks. Two weeks since she'd climbed into the ship her father had made, based on Jor-El's design, and said goodbye to her parents, crying her eyes out, promising she'd look out for young Kal when they reached Earth. But it hadn't been two weeks for anything else. Years had passed and something had happened; her ship was separated from Kal's, flung away from him into space, and by the time it had gotten back on course, her infant cousin was literally years away from her. When she'd reached Earth, he'd already been there for 27 years.

Everything she knew and loved was gone. Everything she cared about, even things she hated. She was on a planet she knew nothing about, only able to speak any of its languages thanks to her ship's computer feeding transmissions to her unconscious mind. Krypton was gone. And Kal was a grown man; and a big, hunk of a man! And the powers, and all the craziness, and he'd helped her deal with it. She'd hit him, sent him flying for miles in her rage, but he'd never struck her back. He never even said a harsh word to her. He was the only one she knew.

And he was gone. Her super sight couldn't see him anywhere. He hadn't answered her that she could hear. Wait! "Rao, what are those?"

She could see starships, lots of them, flying down towards the surface. They weren't Earth ships; the humans had only been as far as their moon from what she'd found on their 'Internet' thingy. Brilliant blue eyes narrowed; a bunch of foreign ships show up and Kal vanishes? Not coincidence, since he was the protector of this planet. Well, one of them.

What should she do? She needed...she needed someone who could tell her what to do. Martha and Jonathan were super nice folks, but they weren't 'superheroes' like Kal was. Oh! One of his super friends! The scary one in black; Kal had told her that if anything happened to him, she should go to him or to Wonder Woman.

And Gotham City was closer than Thymiscara.

She shot straight up into the sky and then arced out over and away from the city as the ships began to move in and disgorge flying creatures. Oh, this was awful! She sped up and turned into a blue blur that rocketed across the country towards Gotham.

New York

"What are they?" The young woman who spoke had slightly dusky skin and large eyes with violet irises, her black hair swept back and down her face, leaving a prominent widow's peak and under it was a dully gleaming gem. She wore a tight bodysuit of dark blue that hugged generous curves, though it left her legs bare save for a pair of blue boots that went to her knees. A blue cloak was swept about her, pinned at her throat, and it's hood was currently back.

The invasion, it was clearly what it was, had been heralded by a brilliant flash of light. But as far as she could tell, the light hadn't done anything. Now strange ships were flying down but they didn't attack either; they just opened and let out swarms of massive flying man-like creatures clad in gold and green and carrying strange staves that glowed on one end and seemed to be able to fire energy blasts. Aliens, then. If they were aliens then he should be showing up any second.

Raven waited, looking around. There was no vibrant green giant robot or butterfly net or whatever he'd make grabbing the ships. No emerald blasts struck the flying creatures from the skies. If this was an alien invasion..."Where's Green Lantern?" New York actually had two; but neither was in the skies.

Perhaps the light had done something to the Lanterns. Either way, she could no longer watch. It was time to act. She rose into the air and flew upward, a flick of her wrist casting her hood over her face. She drew near to a group of the flying things and raised her hands and black energy rippled around them, "This isn't your world! Leave!"

Behind her, several streets away, a brilliant orange blast blew a formation of the aliens in all directions as a tall and statuesque young woman with golden orange skin, almost body length auburn hair, solid green glowing eyes, a supermodel's face and the body of a dream rose up into the center of where they had been. She wore a strange costume of purples that hid little of her body and her hands blazed with power. "Beasts of Apokolips! You will not take this world, not while I am still breathing!"

Starfire shot forward like a missile towards the largest of the ships, firing blast after blast of solar bolts into the Parademons that were starting to swarm the city, "RrraaHH!"

Star City

People shouted and cheered as the group of demons overhead suddenly were engulfed in a fiery explosion; falling heavily to the ground. They moved faintly, still alive and only knocked out by the blast. The crowd that had been fleeing slowed and looked back.

"Hey!" They looked up at the shout to spy a young man glaring down at them from a rooftop. He was dressed in red, his costume somewhat similar to Star City's protector, Green Arrow, but instead of a bow he had some strange kind of firearm in each hand and had a pair of bandoliers with various grenades and other items attached to them. His eyes were covered by a red domino mask with reflective lenses and his hair was a wild ear-length tangle of orange-red locks. "Don't stand there gawking. Head for the subway, these things prefer the air!"

Arsenal, once Speedy, didn't pause to see if they followed his advice. He turned and broke into a run, having attracted the attention of another formation of Parademons. He leaped over a gap between two buildings, rotating as he did so and snapping off a series of blasts that struck several of the pursuing creatures. "Fuck, Ollie, Dinah, where are you?"

El Paso

"Apocolypse? This is the end of the world?" A lean and agile figure encased in form fitting, impossibly intricate, chitin-like armor landed heavily in a used car lot. Up in the air behind him, one of the troop carrier ships exploded. He shook his head and turned to look, "I always thought that'd be a more volcano-y, demon rampage kind of thing."

The armor was mostly black, save for the gloves, boots, across the shoulders, and the details of the helmet and other accents, which were a vibrant electric blue. The large eyes were fiery red. A pair of curved spines, looking almost like mandibles, rose vertically from his shoulders. They glowed blue and the armored figure tilted his head a bit as if listening. "Oh, Apokolips is a planet? Uh huh. Right. Whoa, Darkseid? Isn't he that guy that took over Metropolis, almost took out Superman and the whole Justice League?" The spines glowed again. "...Dios mio..."


Atlantis

Electricity coursed through the body of a Parademon and it fell with a gurgling cry that came out as nothing more than a burble under the waves. Khaldur'ahm straightened from his fallen foe, his mystic tattoos ceasing to glow as he pulled in his power. He was tall and brawny, with dark skin and odd eyes of a light icy blue. His hair was close trimmed to his scalp and he wore a muscle hugging sleeveless shirt of red trimmed in navy and black pants with a vague fin-like shape at the back of his things. "What are they, Your Majesty?"

Behind him, a tall and regal woman with red hair and a golden crown on her head spun, water solidifying impossibly at her mental command and slicing another group of the creatures into pieces. She was gorgeous; curvy and yet athletic, clad in a green catsuit-like garment. "They are parademons from the world of Apokolips," Mera answered. "If they are here, it can only mean their master has come to claim our world."

"He will not," Aqualad answered. "Even with the King gone, we-"

"Yes, we will fight," she cut him off. "And we will do well here. Atlantean technology and magic will let us fight them with far greater force than they can easily counter." Not to mention the physical powers of even the average Atlantean. "But our allies on the surface will not fare so well. If they fall, it will only be a matter of time before Atlantis does as well."

Aqualad looked to his queen. "You would have me go and aid them? Is my place not here?"

Mera smiled. "Garth and Tula can fight beside me here, Khaldur'ahm. But Arthur is our bridge with the surface world and he is gone. Aqualad must go in his stead. Go now, Khaldur, quickly!"

"Where the hell did they go!" robin cursed as he rolled to a slow and graceful stop on the roofs high above Gotham's high end district where the social elite gathered to spend there "hard earned" money. He watched the ships swing by the surface shooting lasers and ducked hiding beneath a low hanging wall as they passed. Dick knew he should be in the fight but he needed to find them.
Find the hero’s of earth
Robin checked his radio transmitter again and sighed as nothing showed up on the radio scanner. For the last few hours he had glided around the city checking his communicator for any of the other super hero coms or the frequencies to groups batman kept in contact with like the oracle or the league but like batman they seemed to have vanished into thin air leaving Robin with no clue as to what to do. He also watched the ships landing and bombing Gotham He ached to help his city but as much as it hurt he was needed elsewhere
"Where the hell did they go" Robin repeated angrily at the night stars. Receiving no answer from the heavens He angrily punched the wall in front of him. Pain flared through his glove and into his hand and he angrily swore to him self and the world in general. He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose chucking his communicator over the wall and jumping onto the wall.

Star city

Arsenal flipped over the roof top and shot out a grappling hook swinging down from the building and kicking down another group of enemies. His guns went back into there holsters and he grabbed his bow form his back. He could use his laser canons but he needed the pay load his arrows carried. He shot out a few arrows taking out a few ships floating near the city. They sunk into a few buildings reducing them to dust.

“Well that was eventful” Arsenal said shucking to him self.

Before an explosion slammed into him catapulting him through a window.

El paso

“Scan for any frequencies coming from the league or the tower we need to find the other heros mount some kind of counterattack” James said speaking to his scarab as he blasted off into the sky. The mandibles glowed blue again imputing the information as James flew low to hide from the skies. His HUD glowed and a nav point to Gotham appeared.

“Is it batman?” James asked pushing up the speed as he talked to him self it seemed “no then who?” he was quite for a second “Robin is looking for the other hero’s?” He listened to the answer “then we need to link up with him el mano turn up the speed”

The boosters on his back grew forming into larger engines and he blasted out pushing through the skies as he went from warp speed to Gotham city

Washington

The sea churned and blasted outward knocking into the ships traveling above it and pushing two into each other causing them to explode. Out of the spray of foam Khaldur jumped out his hilts out and forming into maces. He crashed into one of the ships slamming into it and causing it to explode the other ships turned opening fire on the ship Khaldur jumped off slipping into the shadows of another ship. He waited pressed against it keeping to the shadows as the largest collection of ships raced towards dc.

Washington

Two hours after disappearance
In the afternoon sun all was calm in the capital of America. The many politicians and servicemen went about there life oblivious to the fact that they had lost their planets protectors. Every one looked oblivious to the danger they may now be in….. Every one except the speeding blur traveling at speeds invisible to the naked eye, wally west A.K.A kid flash skidded to a stop out side the justice league building. He quickly looked around for any sign of his mentor before running up the steps and to the heavy security doors. He put his eye to the scanner and felt a surge of relief when it beeped and granted him access to the inner sanctum.
"Wow if I wasn't so freaked out I would have fainted with happiness" Wally murmured as he walked into the head quarters of the justice league for the very first time. The sunlight cast a dim glow on the long hallway where the trophies and statues stood. Every thing was exactly the same with no sign of a struggle or fight. Wally walked through the hall slowly, ignoring the pictures of heroes that adorned the walls around him and went into the main battle room.

He zipped around bringing the systems online and typing in a few rapid codes. He sent out the emergency alert system calling all heros given passes by the justice league the warning they were needed this was for people affiliated but not attached to the justice league

 

[Armphid]

Gotham City

As Robin alighted on the wall a group of parademons oriented on him and turned to level their weapons at the Teen Wonder. Before either side could act, a blue streak shot through their midst and sent them scattering. The blue bolt flew on past and then turned tightly back around to shoot directly at the experienced hero.

The bolt stopped to hover in front of the young man and Kara beamed. She looked a bit frazzled but was still a dazzling teen beauty and her tits heaved in her t-shirt and hoodie from her excitement. "Oh, I'm so glad I found you! I looked everywhere for Batman but I couldn't find him, not even in his cave under that big mansion!" X-Ray vision was pretty cool. She'd ended up just sweeping the whole city and the area around it, and she saw a lot of nasty stuff, but also some pretty hot stuff, and some useful stuff!

"But then I saw you, and you're Robin, and I know you must know where Batman is so we can find where Kal, my cousin, Superman is, and then do something about all...all this!" She made a wide, sweeping gesture meant to indicate the whole alien invasion thing. "You can, right? Right? Oh! This'll help; I think you dropped it." She floated closer and held out the communicator he'd just thrown away.

She'd said it all in a rush, her blue beyond blue eyes wide and hopeful. An observer might notice, however, the strain in her voice that would hint just how close to hysterics she was.



New York

Starfire shrieked as she hit the pavement, cratering the roadway beneath her as she struck it. The Tamaranean beauty shook her head, trying to clear her vision as two full formations of parademons bore down on her.

They leveled their staves and fired but a black dome sprang up around the fallen heroine, shielding her from the blasts. Inside, Raven melted out of the force field and helped her friend to stand. "We have to fall back."

The taller girl shook her head, "N-no, we can't...give up...Robin wouldn't..."

"We are losing. We need help to win this fight, Robin among them. He wouldn't give up, but he would withdraw and gather reinforcements."

Starfire grimaced and nodded. "..Very well."

Raven nodded. "Let us go and gather our friends." She turned into the blackness of her soulself and wrapped around Starfire, and then the two were gone.



Star City

As Arsenal picked himself up, there were no follow up attacks of blasts from the outside. There was the sound of fire, and of fighting, but none of it was directed at him.

"Yaaah!" From outside, a feminine form fell among the approaching parademons. She was a teenager as well, with a slender and athletic frame that had modest but temptingly lovely curves. Her face was noble and pretty, her eyes sea blue, and her short cut hair a honey blond, held back by a red hairband. She wore a snug halter style top in red with white stars on it that left her midriff exposed, a pair of red pants that looked as though they must have been upholstered on, and a red boots. She had a star spangled belt around her waist from which dangled a gleaming golden lasso.

Wonder Girl grabbed the nearest creature and lifted it easily, hurling it with all her strength into the others, bowling them all over. "Arsenal! Are you all right?"

Before she could answer, a large black, flat, birdlike shape rose from a shadow on the ground and grew larger and larger until it vanished. Raven and Starfire stood in its place. The mystic young woman spoke, "Arsenal, Wonder Girl, we are gathering. Will you come with us to find our other allies?"



Washington

"Mm, aren't you a tall drink of water?" The voice that spoke came from above Aqualad. It was rich and sultry, smoky with a teasing lift. "Care for some help, handsome?"

A moment later, school of glowing violet sharks of all species "swam" through the air at great speeds, biting parademons, ramming their ships, pushing back the invading force for a few moments.

A young woman floated down beside Khaldur, "That'll buy us some time. I don't suppose you know where the Justice League is, by any chance?" She was a little taller than average, perhaps 5'8" in all, though her thigh high violet boots had a heel that gave her another few inches on top of that. She had a striking face with plush, sultry lips currently quirked in a smirk. Her eyes were a deep, rich brown, and her short, pixie cut hair was fiery red. She wore a tiara-like mask around her face with three spires that swept away from her head. Her lightly tanned skin was showed off by her costume; a strapless top that was exceedingly low cut, a pair of raised wedges of fabric cradling ample breasts and preserving some modestly while being totally shameless and a short, ass hugging miniskirt that exposed a length of leg before her boots ended. She wore a pair of fingerless gloves on her hands, but most notably, she wore a ring on the ring finger of her right hand that was marked with an eight pointed starburst and glowed with violet light.

"Star Sapphire, but you can call me Lexi," she added with a smile. "I haven't been able to get any of the Lanterns but I was hoping you might have had more luck. I am new to this hero thing, after all."

“Hey hey calm down” Robin said grabbing the communicator and smiling his handsome face providing her a small amount of solace. There fingers touched briefly but a spark of electricity seemed to flow through them both. Dick raised his eyes in shock seeing the beautiful girl in an entirely new light. He cleared his throat trying to focus on the mission at hand and not the beautiful teenage girl in front of him.

“I don’t know where your cousin is but im guessing its what happened to my mentor and all the other heros” Dick explained flipping open the communicator “I’m getting a signal from the justice league in Washington but the aliens are preventing me from hearing it” Dick said pointing up at the swarm of alien ships raining down on gotham.

“Look as much as I hate to do it I think we need to go” Dick said wincing and thinking about how much that would annoy his mentor “we need to get out of here and see if there is any one at the justice league” Dick said “Can you fly us there?” he asked seeing a group of aliens open fire behind them. Dick grabbed her and pulled her down behind the wall they tumbled and landed on top of each other. Kara on top of Dick who groaned as he felt the teenage girls curvy body press against him nicely.

Star city

“Thanks for the help but I didn’t need it” Arsenal snapped ignoring the beautiful girl and holstering his bow “I don’t do gatherings!” he snapped moving past all of the girls and towards his city. A massive explosion sounded and pushed him back as more troops began to fall out form the ship above them.

“Better yet maybe I can learn to be a team player” Arsenal said pushing his long red hair back and going over to them. His costume ripped in a few places showing his muscular torso.

“After you ladies” Arsenal said stepping in with them along with wonder girl.

Washington

Khaldur coughed looking the beautiful girl up and down and licking his lips slowly. He cursed him self for his lustful thoughts and instead smiled bowing “Greetings girl known as star sapphire my name is Khaldur but I am aqualad to my super hero friends” He said moving back onto dry land and shaking the water off of him “I have not met one of the lantern corps before but I am pleased to meet you” Khaldur said gesturing towards dc “I was going to head to the justice league see if I could find any of the heros who seem to have disappeared would you care to join me?” he asked

Star City

The black and flattened bird shape flowed out of Raven again and engulfed them. It streaked away at impossible speeds into the nearest blackness and was gone.

The parademons frowned and grunted to one another in their rough tongue. From the ships overhead, the disappearance was noted. As was that of the two women who had originally been in New York.

The data was passed up until it finally came into the hands of those able to see what was happening.

The enemy was marshaling.



Gotham City

Kara blushed as their fingers touched, well, her fingers touched his glove. She felt a...a spark at the contact. He was so sweet, and being so brave. Kal told her that Batman and Robin didn't have any powers but were still the best heroes on Earth. And here he was, helping her, and fighting aliens.

She focused a bit, looking through his mask with her x-ray vision. Rao, he was handsome. He had such gorgeous eyes.

She then realized he'd been speaking this whole time. "Uh, yeah? Yeah! I can fly to Washington, no pro-whoa!" Without a word, he reached out and grabbed her, throwing them both back as they fell to land on the ground below.

Kara heard him groan and shivered, she wasn't sure why. She was on top of him, her ass up in the air and her chest pressed against his. Oh, he felt warm and firm, very muscley! She blinked and smiled shyly, "Uh...hi." What a stupid thing to say! "Uh, I mean, are you okay? That was really sweet of you, but I'm pretty tough."

She looked up to see the aliens that had fired closing in. "Ookay, talk later." Kara got to her feet and picked him up in her arms, carrying him bridal style, all in a blur of motion. She shot into the sky and before the parademons realized they were moving, they were gone, away from them and away from beleaguered Gotham City.

They flew for about thirty seconds before she stopped, holding him and hovering about ten thousand feet up. The blond teen bombshell looked around and looked a little sheepish, "Uh, you'll have to tell me which way to go. I just got to this planet two weeks ago and I kinda haven't studied the geography very much."


Washington - by the Potomac

Lexi noticed his looking and then his reaction to it. Aww, poor guy! Another hero into denial, it seemed. They could be so serious! Given that they risked their lives all the time, you'd think they'd know to enjoy life.

Her smile grew, "Star Sapphire or Lexi is fine. I mean, if you had to moan out "girl known as Star Sapphire" it would kill the mood." A violet aura sprang up around her and she rose into the air a few inches. "Let's go find the League then. Hey, maybe they'll let us join up if we help them save the day?"

She zipped a little bit ahead, turning back to face him, "You should probably take the lead. Don't worry, Next time I'll fly in front so you can check out my butt. Trust me, it's worth a look."


Washington - Hall of Justice

There was a blare of an alarm as the bird-like shape rose out of the floor from nowhere, swelled, and then faded to leave behind Arsenal, Wonder Girl, Starfire, and Raven.

"Teleport detected," an automated voice announced. "Main foyer." The alarm sounded for a few more moments and then shut off, "Allies detected: Speedy, Wonder Girl, Starfire, Raven, DNA scan confirmed. Welcome to the Hall."

Starfire looked around, "No one is here. Raven, why did we come to this place?"

Cassie crossed her arms under her breasts, "I can't believe it's still standing. I mean, if you were invading, wouldn't you attack here first?"

Raven ignored the blond, turning to regard her friend. "I sense Wa-, ahem, Kid Flash is here somewhere. And...Robin is growing closer quickly, as are a few others."

“Well then we better go get ready for them” Arsenal said pushing past them all and going straight to the armory. He disappeared going inside to gather supplies.

“I am so glad you here!” Wally said zipping in and zooming around them “Starfire wonder girl raven!” he said stopping for a second to lick his lips “so you can all be my angels and I will be Charlie!” he joked before smiling and zipping around the com room.

“I got off the distress signal but from preliminary reports all of earths super heros are gone the adult ones at least” Kid flash said stopping and nodding at them all “scans indicates a massive boom tube right before all the hero’s disappeared” He stated brining up the reports.

“Seconds later the alien force entered the atmosphere pictures indicate that the enemy is Darksied” kid flash “they besigied the earth in minutes and engaged the American and national forces” Kid explained hsowing enemy deployments.

“Darksied himself is in Washington and its his main base of operation” Kid says brining up the outside reports “along with most of his main forces”

“Then we need to go there now!” Arsenal said bursting out of the room. His entire body was bristling with different weapons and he had on body armor.

“We need a plan first” A voice said from the door way

Robin walked in with Kara both look flustered from the flight. Dick strode through the entranceway trying to look calm and confident like batman. He ignored arsenal and nodded at all his friends.

“I mean I think we should come up with a plan first before blindly attacking” Robin argued looking at each of them.

Starfire smiled at Kid Flash's come on, Raven remaining impassive. Wonder Girl just snorted, "Sure, we can do that. Just let me find an intercom to stuff you into."

As he went on and brought up more information, the three girls looked up at the displays. Raven frowned, "This is pretty bad. Darkseid took on the whole League and almost won."

Before they could discuss it further, Arsenal burst back in armed to the teeth and then Robin and a strange girl arrived. Relief was evident, almost painfully so, on the faces of the three young women at the Teen Wonder's appearance.

"Robin!" Starfire flew across the room to hug him, almost pressing his face directly into her breasts. "I'm so happy to see you! Surely we can win now!"

As she stepped back from him beaming, Raven just nodded. Wonder Girl looked pleased as well, "Yeah, I bet you can figure out out a win for us."

Raven, however, was looking at Kara. Her large lavender eyes were curious and probing. There was something familiar about the girl. She was stunning; so blond and pretty it almost made her teeth ache but there was something else. Something about her eyes...

Kara had slid off to the side. They were here now and there were other heroes, so they could figure it out and take care of it, right? She cleared her throat, "Um, you guys are, like, a Justice League too, right? So, you can just go and beat this Darkseed-"

"Darkseid," Raven corrected.

"Right, him." Kara flushed, "But can't you guys just go beat him up and get everyone back?"

Before anyone could answer, there was another beep from the Hall's computer systems. "Front entrance access granted. Ally Aqualad and guest arriving."

"And guest," Lexi's voice was heard as she approached, amusement in the smoky tones. "It almost sounds like we're checking into some ritzy hotel and I'm your floozie of the night, doesn't it?" The hourglass figured redhead then floated into the main hall where the others were gathered and looked around, "Wow. Now this is a good looking group! Hi, everybody! Star Sapphire, but you can call me Lexi. I think you know Aqualad already," she gestured to the more experienced teen hero.

“Its uh good to see you to starfire” Dick said smiling and trying to ignore her heaving breast.

And the thoughts of all the times he had watched them heave with passion

“As for Darksied im afraid it isn’t that simple uh super girl” Dick said keeping her name secret for now “like Raven said Darksied had taken on the whole league multiple times and almost won” Dick said leaning against the console.

“Yeah but they always defeated him” Kid flash said zipping to Robin “maybe we should focus on finding the league instead?” He asked.

“We don’t have the time for that” Arsenal said angrily stepping back into the room “by the time we figure out what’s been done to them Darksied could have laid waste to the entire population!” Arsenal growled punching the wall.

“I am afraid I agree with arsenal on this one” Dick said pinching the bridge of his nose and looking at the holographic map of Washington “With out super hero’s our armies are under matched they will be decimated by Darksied”

“Well then what exactly would you have us do?” Khaldur asked walking in with the guest. Before any one could say any thing more she announced her self.

Dick raised an eye brow at auqua lad who shrugged “she helped me on the beach and seems legit” He said shrugging “I figured we need all the help we can get” Khaldur said shrugging.

“What we need is a plan” Dick said sounding at a loss

“Forget it we need to get out there innocent people are dying” Arsenal growled going over to the entrance way and brushing past Lexi “were wasting time” he retorted before pushing open the door and leaving.

“Look he is going to get him self killed out there” Kid said to Robin “Ill go after him” he said moving off of the table and zipping outside.

“Damn it guys we need a plan” Robin called “Shit” he cursed before running after them. Khaldur followed after them both not wanting to see his friends get hurt.

Raven pursed her lips. Supergirl? That was it. Her eyes were like Superman's eyes; that shade of blue that was so unique. Now that she'd been given the cue, she could see other faint traces of resemblance between her and the Man of Steel. They were clearly relatives; but how closely? Superman didn't look old enough to have a daughter this age the times she'd met him. A sister?

Before she could consider it further, however, the impulsive part of the nascent 'team' was dashing out to take the fight to the Apokoliptans. "...Great."

Starfire was already moving, flying after them, "I think we should have a plan too, but I can't let them fight alone. I'm sorry, Robin."

Wonder Girl was flying as well, her face angry, "That idiot's going to get us all killed." Damn him! Reckless, impulsive, brave, caring, jerk ass! She knew that his haste was genuinely motivated by wanting to save as many lives as they could but it didn't make him any less frustrating!

Kara, who had blushed bright red when addressed as 'Supergirl,' bit her lower lip, "Um, should we go with them or...or what?" She fidgeted, glancing the way the others had gone and then back at Robin. ...And why was that creepy girl watching her like that?

Before any of them could speak, shadows fell over them as the light from the Hall's skylights was blotted out. Looking up, the largest of the ships from Apokolips was hovering over the Hall of Justice. Lexi let out a low, impressed whistle, "I think they might have chosen the plan for us, guys."



Outside the Hall of Justice

The skies outside were crowded with ships, all dwarfed by one massive craft. Swarms of parademons hovered, not yet attacking but hanging back and waiting for some signal.

Arsenal stood with Kid Flash in front of him, the speedster having tried to bar the headstrong weapons master's way. Behind them, Aqualad stood, Starfire and Wonder Girl hovering in the air on either side of him, all gaping up at the huge vessel overhead. The doors of the hall opened once more, Kara and Lexi rushing out to join the others and then stopping in their tracks.

There was a sound from the ship far above and an oval platform detached and lowered slowly down through the air. It moved with deliberate and steady pace, carrying a sense of relentless ambition. On that platform stood a man; or something that had once been a man.

He was massive; but his seven feet of height was only a part of his enormity. His legs and arms were thick and powerful, his upper arms as big around as Robin's waist, and he was wide at the shoulders as Raven was tall. he wore a dark, dark blue sleeveless bodysuit, complete with heavy knee high blue boots, reinforced with bands of black metal, and solid gauntlets that almost to his elbows. He wore a faceless cowl of the same blue. His skin, if it could be called that, was gray and craggy, looking like rock hewn into the form of a humanoid. His stony face was hard and unforgiving and his eyes burned red beyond red. His hands were crossed behind his back and his legs were wide apart.

He spoke in a voice that was like lead bells being rung in a vast and open tomb; cold, clear, regal, but undeniably dark and uncaring. "Children. This is the best that can oppose Darkseid." He lifted a hand to the ship above. "All of your world will see what happens now. Your champions are gone; even the Kryptonian. You alone, mere young, are left to fight and die. But you need not. Kneel now to Darkseid and you will live. Fight and you will fall. Either way it will be seen and your world's hope crushed. For nations rise and fall, worlds themselves are created and crushed, but Darkseid is. And nothing can change that."

He put the raised hand back behind his back and stood in that stance of rigid, unimpressed attention. "Decide."

Dick glanced back at all of his friends before back at the monster. He saw more troops spilling out of the ship hovering in the air beside Darksied. They were outnumbered clearly and the hulking immortal monster was in front of them to.

What would his father do?

There was no way in hell he would give up that was certain. He would already have a plan fifty in place just in case that one failed. He would have foreseen that Darksied could and more importantly would track there signal. He would have some gadget or trick up his sleeve ready for this situation.

In short nothing Dick had

Dick watched his friends exchange fearful looks and bit his lip his mind working over time to figure this out. Fight of flight fight or flight.

What would batman do

“I wont bow” Dick said stepping in front of them. His hand snaked to the back of his utility belt and he grabbed a batarang hitting a few switches on it “I will stop you and justice will prevail” He growled before dropping the batarang behind him. It sunk into the ground and exploded pushing out smoke that blanketed him.

As the guards opened fire at the teenagers Arsenal was already into the air his bow out and a volley of arrow shots taking down the troopers. Kid was next zipping out of the smoke and flying at Darksied. The god laughed and smacked him away causing the speedster to fly through the air and into a building.

Khaldur was next his maces out and slamming into Darksied forcing him back against the wall. Aqua lad jumped forward ready to deliver another blow but Darksied grabbed him. The creature laughed and threw him into starfire and wondergirl.

Robin appeared behind him from the shadows he jumped onto the gods back and sprayed two canisters full of explosive gell onto his back he flipped over the gods outstretched hands and threw four batarangs into his back they explode catapulting the god back into a building.

The rest of the teens leaped into action as soon as Robin threw down the cloud of smoke that obscured them. All but one. As the smoke cleared, Kara stood there, staring about with wide, terrified blue eyes at the sudden violence that had exploded around her.

Starfire flew back, catching most of the blow of Aqualad's lanky body as his back hit her squarely in the chest, the two of them soaring up towards the huge spacecraft. Wonder Girl flew past them, her lasso out, twirling the loop of unbreakable golden cord. As Darkseid pulled out of the wall of the Hall of Justice with a growl, she threw it and the lasso looped about his left wrist. She cried out and lightning suddenly surged along it's length; electrocuting the dark god.

"Toys," his leaden voice came easily, with no trace of pain, merely irritation. He swung his left arm and Wonder Girl let out a surprised squawk as he brought her around, swinging her by her own lasso to smash her into the Hall. She screamed as she hit hard, cracking and breaking concrete, a cloud of dust and debris flew up. He brought her round, using her like a living flail to smash into Lexi; the Star Sapphire's violet aura flaring to absorb the impact, then again to slam the blond down into the ground hard. He pulled the lasso off his wrist and threw it over the unmoving heroine. "Easily broken toys."

Starfire roared towards him, carrying Aqualad. She threw the hero at Darkseid and broke to the left, blasting the stony conqueror with blasts from both hands. Lexi darted right, a beam of violet radiance blasting him from the other side.

Darkseid roared, snatching Aqualad out of the air and using him to block Lexi's beam, then hurl him again into Starfire and send them both crashing to the ground. Lexi gasped, "Oh, no, I'm sorry! I-" Her words cut off as now furious god stepped forward and kicked her as one might a football and sending her rocketing skyward from the force of the blow. He then staggered back as a blinding phosphorous round from Arsenal blasted him between the eyes, momentarily blinding him.

Kara stared; she couldn't move. She couldn't think. She should do something. Her mind was screaming at her to move, move already, but her terrified brain simply wasn't processing.

Raven melted out of her soulself beside Robin. "We're losing," she said softly. In front of them, a wobbly Starfire rose to her feet and then turned blasts from both hands on the stumbling Darkseid again before he whirled and caught her with a rocky fist, sending her to smash through the obelisk in front of the Hall of Justice and fall still to the ground. "Robin, what should we do?"

Dick groaned picking himself up and shaking the rubble off of his cape. He saw Darksied beating back his friend and groaned shaking his head and pinching the bridge of his nose. He pushed himself up and ran over to the nearest sewer grate. He flung out his batrangs taking out a group of soldiers converging on the street and sliding to a stop. He grabbed the grate and pulled it up before standing up.

“Retreat every one retreat!” Dick said pulling out batarangs and covering his comrade’s escape.

“no” Arsenal growled letting loose shot after shot of arrows into Darksied who merely shook the bolts away while beating aqualad. Khaldur send out a burst of electricity weakening Darksied hold Kid zipped forward punching the god in his mouth and allowed Khaldur to slip out of his hold. He grabbed arsenal and pulled him towards the grate.

“There is no honor or sense in dyeing in a pointless battle” Khaldur said pushing him over to the sewer grate.

Kid zipped around entertaining the god and annoying him while the other made their escapes. Kid finally jumped over the god causing his to roar in anger and causing the ground to shake. Kid zipped over to the great and dropped down.

Dick looked at him one more time his eyes narrowed “this isn’t over” He stated simply before dropping another flash bomb and dropping down.

He landed next to them on the sewer grate and heard a huge rumble.

“Come on we need to go I have a place we can rest” Dick said pointing at them to follow him. He started moving down the corridor quickly as the ground shook form Darksied’s temper tantrum

Robin sounded the retreat and Raven just nodded, "I'll get them and find you." She spread her arms and cloak, melding into them and becoming the black bird-like shape of her soul self. She flew with impossible speed and pulled the fallen Starfire and Wonder Girl into herself, then shot up into the air to capture Lexi as the glowing Star Sapphire came flying back to the scene of the fight.

Kara watched the guys follow Robin into the underground. That wouldn't fool the monster. He'd just collapse the street on them, wouldn't he? Unless...unless somebody did something...

Darkseid watched the retreat impassively; it was clear the vermin had retreated underground. No matter. His eyes began to glow and he raised a hand, "Be buried for-"

The shockwave of the impact that hit him buckled the pavement, shattered windows for blocks around it, rocked parked cars up onto their sides, as Kara blurred in and threw all of her might into a wild right cross. His head snapped to the side, his lethal omega beams firing wild and vaporizing the remains of the obelisk instead of shooting into the tunnel; and then the mighty titan went shooting into the air as if fired from a cannon.

She stared upward in shock, her knuckles aching a little, in wonder at what she'd just done as Darkseid flew into the ship hovering above them and smashed through the hull and out of sight.

Then the black bird shape of raven swooped over her, enveloping her and carrying her away.

It was perhaps a full minute later that Darkseid landed heavily back on the ground, a thin trail of dark blood at the corner of his mouth. Impossible. Impossible! Only two beings had ever struck him with such blows before! Orion was on New Genesis and the Kryptonian was safely imprisoned...then how? "AARRRAAAAAHHH!"

Many miles away, where there was a hidden passage that led from the sewers into a cave system, the black bird shape sank down to the earthen ground and the Kara and Lexi fell out of it, each carrying one of the unconscious girls. A moment later the bird collapsed in on itself to become Raven.

She leaned back and sighed, "Carrying so many...I'll need a rest. Robin and the boys should be here soon. I sensed this was the closest place to meet them."

Dick led the group through a series of tunnels hearing more shakes and tremors form the invasion group. They were all silent licking there wounds even Kid walked along his head down cast.

Dicks mind raced analyzing the fight from a thousand different perspectives. Dick was a of strategy games and had a knack for them he could usually analyze when he lost and work around it figuring out the best way of finishing his goals.

And this match was his lost

In short they were unorganized with out a plan and severely outgunned

So what tactics could Dick use?

Guerilla tactics?

No they didn’t have the time and the area was to large for them to do hit and run tactics. The enemy needed to be defeated and pushed back now.

What would Batman do?

The question nagged Dick to much for him to let it go what WOULD Bruce do in this circumstance how would he beat the odds?

Dick wasn’t Bruce

In the end that’s what caused him to fail he wasn’t Batman he wasn’t Bruce Wayne prince of gotham. He loved his father but he was Dick Grayson with his own skills and strengths.

His own tactics

They reached the end of the road and Dick moved forward. He pushed his hand against a wall and it pressed down a slab of stone sliding down and revealing the girls.

“every one rest up tend to your wounds” Robin said moving in his expression much more serious as he turned to them all “You guys got an hour” He said leading them into a large cave it was much like the bat cave with multiple levels. It was made to be for multiple people and had a fully stoked medic and armory.

“I want this place stripped down heal your self up and then grab all our weapons including the bat toys” Robin explained pulling out a batarang “This place has a command system clean up your wounds get some rest and meet me there in an hour Donna your in charge” Robin explained at the team as they nodded.

“Lexi I want to speak to you” Dick said grabbing her arm and pointing toward the living spaces set off to the side. Dick led her to a small room that was made for war sleeping with only a rack and a desk. Dick leaned against the desk turning to her.

“thanks for the assist really I’m glad for all the help I can get” dick said looking her up and down “But I need to know who you are” dick said

The groggy Wonder Girl nodded as Robin exited the medical area with Lexi in tow, the redhead's ass swaying from side to side. "Everyone, just rest and try to relax most of all." They needed to get their heads back in the game if they were going to succeed. "This fight's not over yet. Everyone who got banged around, even a little, needs to lie down on one of these medical beds."

Kara nodded, carrying the still unconscious Starfire over to one and laying her down. Aqualad moved to one himself, Wonder Girl doing so as well. The Kryptonian blond then shuffled away and not being sure what else to do, sat down in one of the chairs in the medical area as the machines there started to work.

She felt a presence next to her and looked up to see Raven watching her again. Kara blinked and looked away, then back to the quiet girl, "What? Why do you keep looking at me like that?"

Raven quirked an eyebrow, "Robin called you Supergirl. And I saw what you did in the fight, at the end." She paused and gestured to the area further into the cave, away from the others. "And I think you might need someone to talk to; I'm a very good listener."

Lexi smiled as Robin all but dragged her off, "Ohh, getting handsy already. I like it." They went into a small room and the experienced hero thanked her and then asked about her, all while looking her over. She noted he didn't blush and look away like Aqualad had.

Oh, this might be very good for both of them.

"Well." She shut the door to the room and locked it. "I'm Star Sapphire of Sector 2814, wielder of one of the most powerful weapons in the universe," she raised her right hand and waggled her ring. "I'm a Virgo, I like long walks on the beach, though screwing on the beach is even better, cats, my measurements are 38D-26-36, and my favorite movie is Debbie Does Dallas."

She grinned, "Not what you meant, I know." Lexi shrugged, knowing how sinful the casual motion would look in her skimpy outfit. "But I'll tell you. I've decided to trust you, Robin. Once you start trusting yourself."

The buxom girl walked towards him slowly, her eyes meeting his behind his mask. "I've heard about you. Part of the Dynamic Duo, been fighting crime since you were, what, 13? The smiling fighter, appearing and disappearing with a haunting laugh, the light to Batman's dark...I always thought you were cute. I used to save pics of you, you know. When my Dad found out, I thought he was going to kill me."

She was standing in front of him now and boldly ran her hands up his chest. "You're not acting like Robin right now though, or in that fight. More like you're trying to be the Bat. I think you should be yourself. Maybe you're too worried, too stressed to do that...but I can help you with that."

Lexi closed the distance between them and pressed her body against his, her voice low and throaty, "Let it out, stud, on me and in me. You need the release to think clearly, to feel good about getting everyone out alive, and I...well, I just want you."

Her ring glimmered and her costume suddenly faded away to leave her naked as she wriggled against him, grinding her body into his, her tits pillowed on his chest. "Do that...and I'll tell you who I am."

Arsenal ignored them all growling and pushing away from the group. Kid followed after him as they both zipped down to the armory.

“Speedy I” Kid said hesitantly

“My name is Speedy!” Arsenal growled opening the wayne tech grates before turning back to wally and sighing “I’m sorry wally just not used to all these people”

“I know but you need to relax this could be good for you there not the justice league” Kid said zipping around and coming out with a bundle of weapons “And dick isn’t batman”

“I know he needs to stop trying to be him” Arsenal countered grabbing his own bundle.

Khaldur got up and stretched see star fire getting better. He smiled in relief and walked past Raven and the girl known as super girl. He headed over to Donna and stopped by her bowing respectfully.

“Hello wonder girl as team leader I was wondering if you had any thing for me to od?” Khaldur asked “I wish to be of assistance” he stated simply

Dick frowned listening to Lexi her words cutting him down to his very core. She was right he wasn’t trusting him self and was trying to be some thing he wasn’t. His mind flashed back to her words remembering laughing having fun with this job. His father tsking as he catapulted through the air smiling and whooping as they took down gothams most notorious villains back then it had been Bruce and Dick against the world. His mentor trying to remain closed to it while he embraced it. He had changed as he got older becoming more and more like his counter part.

And less like himself

Before he could say any thing her clothes were gone and she was pressed against him. Her big breast pushing against his chest and her lips oh so kissable near his.

Was this what he needed?

Dick had been trying not to stare at her body to long like every one else. She was beautiful but this was a time of war not exactly time to have-

Batman wouldn’t do it

Dick kissed her gently before moving back he stared at her his eyes clouded with lust “You say im not being my self?” Robin said slowly moving his hands down her naked curves before messaging her hips roughly.

“I think you right” Dick said leaning in and slowly kissing her neck “So how about we both give each other what we want” He asked his voice low and throaty against her ear.

He let go off her and moved over to the bed pulling off the top of his costume. He was tall and lean more like a gymnast then a teenage body. His back was covered in scars from his past adventures.

Then he did some thing even more surprising

Robin turned his pants still on and his gloves off he grabbed his mask and took it off revealing his face “My father doesn’t trust so easily” Robin stated simply “I always believed that was his issue not mine my name is dick tell me your last name” Robin said laying down on the bed.

Meanwhile in DC

Jamie landed on the outskirts of the buildings and slid to a stop. His boosters slid back and the blue on his armor changed to black.

“Where is the justice league” he murmured seemingly to himself as he ducked into the shadows and began to climb the sky scraper.

“The team designated justice league has been boom tubed off the planet” The beetle said as Jamie climbed the first floor and peeked out of a broken window. No guards seemed to converge on his building and he could make out the start of a base being built by the Lincoln monument.

“So then what about the distress call and Robin?” Jamie asked moving past the remains of a family and climbing up to the top of the skyscraper.

“Unknown further data is required signal is gone” the beetle said.

“This is a fraking mess” Jamie sighed kicking open the door of the skyscraper and stepping out. He walked past the ruble and moved over to the front of the wall. He sank down onto the ground and belly crawled over reaching the edge and curiously peeking out. His eyes blinked and then zoomed in as the beetle analyzed the would be conquers base.

“There has been signs of a fight of super hero origins plasma blast consistent with both the alien known as star fire’s and curiously a member of the violet corps” The beetle analyzed “There is no sign of a end to this fight that resulted in terminations that and from the patterns of the alien search teams the conclusion is that the team engaging Darksied managed to escape”

“Damn it this is loco” Jamie muttered shaking his head “can you find where they went?” Jamie asked the beetle moving back from the ledge and leaning against the wall.

“Negative scans our inconclusive due to Darksied and his own equipment” The beetle concluded.

“Then I guess we just sit tight” Jamie said sighing and leaning his head back.

Donna laughed, "Aqualad, you don't need to be so formal. Wonder Woman is the princess, not me." Her blue eyes danced merrily despite their situation. "You should relax a little, honey." She hoped the serious youth wouldn't mind the term of endearment; it was just her way with people.

She looked around at the others; Raven and the hot blond had gotten up and were walking off, Starfire was starting to groggily move on one of the beds, and Arsenal and Kid Flash were still in the armory. "The biggest worry now is morale. There's a lot of pressure on us now and everyone will be feeling it. We have to make sure no one has given up and keep them focused."

The statuesque raven haired girl smiled, "I'm going to go talk to Arsenal and Kid Flash, they're friends. I think Raven is helping that blond girl, but you might want to assist or talk to Kory, Starfire I mean, when she comes to."

With that, she gave the dark skinned boy a squeeze on the shoulder and headed to where Wally and Roy were. Donna walked up behind Roy and slid her arms around his shoulders, making sure to brush her breasts against his back. Nothing got Roy Harper's attention like a little titillation. "So how are you, boys? Roy, I hope you've calmed down a little."

Raven and Kara had walked apart from the others. Though she knew nothing about Raven, the lost alien girl felt instinctively that the dark haired young woman could be trusted completely. She found herself pouring out her whole story to the quiet mystic, absent the details of Kal's foster parents and secret identity.

She was shaking her head, "And now I don't know who I am, or what to do about any of this! It's all impossible, like a story or a movie or something. I don't know how to handle any of it."
