Yikes! Snow Hurricane on its Way to the North East!

We have a three foot snow gauge in the back yard -- not it a drift either. At this ppoint the tip is showing, about three inches worth, and it is snowing again.

The snow pile on the side of the drive opposite the garage is at least seven feet high -- ditto for the ramparts down at the end of the driveway.

Amazingly enough we still have grid power and the internet. I have a big natural gas generator that kicks in if the power shuts off -- but it was completely buried. I was worried that it was going to go off without any ventilation. Yesterday I was out skiing the streets -- so when I got back I thought I'd just ski over to the generator and dig out out. No way. The snow was too deep. I got stuck trying to get up the bank and wound up rolling down onto the driveway. My wife had to get up there with show shoes.

This is too much snow for cross country skiing. I am not looking forward to breaking a trail through the woods. I figure I'll wait out the weekend and hope someone else gets there first.

It's snowing again? Why is it snowing again? Do not want!!!

When I woke up this morning and looked out the back window, it looked like someone was shaking powdered sugar out of strainer and it was landing on top of a platefull of brownies. The grass is covered, but nothing else, as if the sugar only hit the brownies and not the plate or the table.

Sorry, Thee. I feel really bad about how NJ is getting hit this winter. Mine isn't supposed to accumulate--just looks pretty.:)

Luckily, it ended before I left for a meeting at 10:00 this morning. It's almost sunny right now :D
