Yikes! Feedback?

I am far from a seasoned veteran with ANY hobby I have interest in. Just a fair warning.

However, I do enjoy writing. I've gotten really good feedback/ratings from many stories I've written over the past year. Interracial, Erotic Couplings, Exhibitionist/Voyeur. Hell, I've even written a couple of poems that have gotten better feedback than the story I just posted. None of my stories are under 4 stars, but this one is at a miserable 3.32.

I've always been a fan of Romance stories, but scared to write/post any because I heard the crowd was particularly tough. I know this story isn't great but I don't think it's horrible, either.

Any comments/suggestions? Oh, and here's one of the comments:

For the reader to get to the "end" of the story, and find out that not only did nothing of significance happen, it is clearly NOT an ending. In this particular instance, it's hardly a decent stopping place. (There's a reason many stories on Lit have chapter designations!

EDIT: After reading the comment a second time, it seems like the reader thought this was supposed to be a stand-alone story. This is intended to be a series; I wouldn't just post that story without continuing! Maybe I should have put Ch. 1 after the title, heh.

Yeah, that seems to be what they are saying. And not being psychics, they would have not any idea you weren't giving them a complete story without some indication of that up front.

I re-submit the story and added. "Ch. 1" to the title. Hopefully this will have made a difference in terms of the ratings.
