Absolutely speechless..

Truly beautiful work Starfish!

Seriously...

[claps for the true beauty a starfish can make with her lovely, creative hands]

It's absolutely beautiful, Starfish!

I will second what Cath wrote. Starfish, you are such a talented woman. I remember the Avatar you had that was also a Starfish original - that was most beautiful, also.

Thank you for sharing this. I have a feeling Ruby will love it as much as we do.

Enchanted

great as usual Fishie!

And I knew there were other things you could use your creative hands for. ;)

Excellent, fishie. Something I always wished I could do.

I'm impressed that you were able to do all those windowsills without the colors running together! And it's beautiful, too. :)

Lovely

VERY good, fishie!

I love watercolors ... the closeup details were excellent examples of the media.

Sorry, I misunderstood your previous thread ... I thought you were doing a portrait of Ruby (thus, the BOOBS! referrence).

Cherry, No biggie. That's cute though. LOL.

Mellon Collie, To answer your question.... 8 1/2 hours to be precise.

Thanks everyone. Wow.

I don't have a lot of time, before I have to go, but I just wanted to say that I am flattered as hell about all of these compliments.

Patient, It isn't really that hard to accomplish actually. Watercolor is best achieved by working in layers so the sills are from a layering effect. I ALWAYS work light to dark. That way you can overlap the edges of lighter things into the field that will be a darker color, and then you just sort of build it up from there. That way you never get a stupid white line, or ugly improper overlapping of dark into an area that is supposed to be light.

I am off for now, but thank you all and could someone let Ruby know about this if it falls to the wayside before she sees it. I may be back on later, but I have some serious fucking to do right now, so who knows. ;)

OMG! I love it, I love it, I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's even more amazing than I imagined it would be.

:):):):)

I can't wait to see it in person. Thank you so much Gretchie - *kisses*

I need to commission a still life or two for my dining room next! :)

Starfish...

This is absolutely beautiful! I have friends who sometimes work with watercolors. I'm hoping I can show them your amazing work! Thank you for sharing, and did you have a photo to help you? It's just amazing.

Wow.

I'm envious for some many reasons.

Your work is quite lovely, Starfish.

A mirror.

:D

I am glad you love it Ruby. I just thought that is might be too colorful, but that color may be just what your house needs, and I think now, it will go so well in your abode.

I will gladly do more work.

If I sell more work, I am just going to be rolling over the money for more art supplies until I am fully stocked. This way I can maybe get my feet off the ground with this biz.

My Mom and Dad in law are full force wanting me to become a pro, but I have a lot to learn. I now have a mat cutter, thanks to them, and I can do any sized work with it, so that is good. I will start the fun venture into frame making, within the next year.

I just bought a duck cloth canvas and am going to start an acrylic and see how it goes with that. Someday I may pic up oil, but I don't know.

Jenny, I did have a pic, but it was sort of at a fucked up angle, and it didn't have near the color that I put into this. I loved the layout of this village. It isn't really a typical view of a village. More of a backside view. I loved the fountain especially, so I had to add in a girl and some fish.
